I was given the choice of three estimates which were way out of my price range and told the guy would need to call somebody else to get another estimate. The estimates were anywhere from the cheapest of $1500. Approx to over $3000. I was totally shocked as my unit is not that old and was told that the motherboard was not sending signals to the compressor to turn on and if they replace the motherboard, it still may not send the signal and then I would have to replace my compressor also. I called another company that was also recommended to me and a technician within 10 minutes found the problem to be a $240 capacitor, which was changed in less than a half an hour and I had air again!! I can't imagine a company trying to rip off somebody buy so much money and completely miss diagnosing, a simple problem and trying and turning it into a huge disaster! I would never recommend this company. They are completely dishonest or maybe it was just the person they sent here.

It seems he does not try to understand well what the customer is asking: his answer to my "why"s were not good. Details: He quoted me $150 to fix a low refrigerant issue. on visiting, he told me $260 saying that the system has 0 feon. That made me suspicios. The pressure of the system when off was over 200 PSI as shown in the attached picture. Suspecting that he was lying, I weighed myself with his 410 gas tank before he started putting in the refrigerant: 68.9kg. After he was done, I again weighed myself with the gas tank: 67.7kg. So he only put in about 2lb (1.2kg) of refrigerant, certainly less than 3lb. Even after seeing my weight measurements, he told me he put in 4lb. I asked him how did he came up with the 4lb number: he said by looking at the pressure readings: I think he knew he was bullshitting. The system label says it holds 68.8oz 410a (4.3 lb). so it was only about half empty. A 25lb gas tank costs ~300 so. the cost of 2lb 410a is less than $30. so he should have asked for $180 ($150+$30). After complaining, he did reduce the price from $260 to $200, which I consider fair (other quotes were $100-$250). My main issue is his deliberate-seeming low quote and what seems to be deliberate lying.

SoFlow came on time and the installer was the same guy that initially inspected her old unit. Both gentlemen were very nice and they did a great job taking away the old unit and putting the new unit on a new pad and plumbing in the ducting and drain pipe. Bosch initially sent Appliance Service Group, Inc., which took a week to come out and suggested the problem was a fuse without removing the oven to investigate further. Vlad came the same day I contacted him, removed the unit, and identified the actual issue: the motherboard. He offered a solution that saved me approximately $600. After an electrician completed the necessary work, Vlad returned to reinstall the oven and got everything working. What impressed me even more was his follow-through. There was also an unpleasant smell coming from the microwave, so Vlad returned a third time and took it apart to check for a dead animal, burned wiring, or another possible source. He found no evidence of those issues and carefully reassembled everything. He took my concerns seriously and put in the work to investigate. By comparison, Appliance Service Group wanted $169 for the initial diagnostic visit and another $100 to return, despite giving me a diagnosis because of a gut feeling. Based on my experience, the difference in service was substantial. I highly recommend Fuse Services and Vlad. He showed up, investigated thoroughly, helped me save money, and followed through. Old outdated technology. The Daikin FIT system is like an automobile AC on auto setting. Set the desired temp to 68 and the fan speed will lower while the cooling temp raises until it reaches 68. Then the system will continue running to maintain the desired temp. The Daikin FIT system is the FIRST home AC system that performs the same way. The compressor and air handler communicate to achieve this and the Daikin One thermostat is top of the line that displays outside temp and humidity along with indoor temp and humiDoty as the Daikin FIT system is also a dehumidifier. installing this system, as well as maintaining it, is more difficult than a standard AC unit so one wants to ensure they hire a company with extensive experience. That's we we decided on Daikin FIT and Ductmasters. We spoke with several other AC companies who tried to talk us out of the Daikin FIT system and instead tried to sell us the cheapest AC unit in the market, because that's all they knew how to install. Don't fall for the AC guy that tries to sell you on unit price because you will be sorry later. Ductmasters is a professional company that installed an entirely new duct system along with the Daikin system. The crew performed in a manner fitting of top notch commercial installers They arrived in 2 commercial vans and the crew immediately began to work like soldiers. The gutted the old duct system and carted it away. I know others leave it in the driveway for bulk trash pickup. They also brought 2 portable AC units to help cool the house for the 2 days we had no AC. It took them 3 days for the whole job and we couldnt be happier with the quality and performance.
