Luckily, as we communicated through the massage (my choice as it helps me feel more comfortable with the person who's working with me) I learned that his influence is rooted in eastern massage and he made plenty of adjustments to make sure he was effective for me. He ended up using hot stones and checking in often with amount of pressure and comfort and eventually moved onto have a really great neck, and shoulder massage.
