I notice that there are two sites for this business. I wrote a negative review, which very much gelled with the one here that indicated that a young woman was bullied for payment (which she had already made) until her father stepped in.
In response to my negative review I received the following threatening, nasty email from the business owner Woody Woodrow: "I'm going to give you the benefit of doubt and assume you were just upset. But, you need to remove that review. You don't know me,and I'm certainly not anti female. The car is a 2017, not "old ". However,what you should know about me is that I refuse to be treated in such a demeaning and degrading manner. Remove the review!! Remember I can also give reviews. And I'm like a bulldog. I'm not going to let this go."
I think that comment speaks for itself.
I'll just say that the car he used on a weekend felt old, worn, and cramped. Every Uber or Lyft car I've been in was nicer.
And he has now sent me another email, which once more I include in total and verbatim: ""Strange old Man" Really!! Old? How would you like it if I called you a "dried up old man hating hag" which you are. Or Strange? At least I don't go around caressing statues. [Don't have a clue what he means here but I happen to be an art historian who precisely knows that one does not touch statues!] How strange is that? Do the right thing and take it down now,and save yourself further unrelenting grief."
Judge for yourself how safe you would feel with this man.
Addendum: I have figured out what he means about statues. My photo on the University of Michigan site and academia.edu shows me standing next to the plaster cast of a statue. IE he has stalked me online and made a misinformed judgement. His use of the inappropriate word "caressing" is telling and creepy.
In one night I have now received three emails from this man. Here's the latest, once more unedited and with no cuts: "You've got some serious mental problems,and should really seek some professional help. I really feel sorry for you. To spend so much of your time trying to hurt me for no valid reason is truly sad and pathetic. People like you do eventually receive in kind treatment. Karma if you will. I will see how helpful I can be by writing as many reviews on you as I can on the U Of M review website."
My only comment: All I am trying to do is protect other people from using a business that claims to be "safe."
Fourth message from him this evening: "You need to remember this all started when you as a supposedly educated person and college teacher was exhibiting ageism. And I wouldn't let you get away will it !!! Of course you won't post THIS on Yelp because your a coward and a hypocrite. Now I'm done with you. You SMUCK!"
My comment: I am an old person too, as he noted when he called me a "dried up old man hating hag." I leave it up to readers to decide whether this is the kind of person to whom they would entrust themselves, relatives or friends.
