Love the octopus like washers here!
    Annamarie M.

Really love this car wash!!! I have the monthly subscription so I'm able to get unlimited car washes every month for $15. This location has what my kids think is octopus arms. It's this machine that slaps your car with tentacle looking pieces of cloth! You're guided by somebody in person as you pull up to the car wash that way your wheels are aligned with the automatic guide that pulls your car through the car wash as your car is in neutral. Your car gets sprayed with soap and then you have scrubbers on the top and bottom that comes through and scrub your car up. There are some powerful heaters that dry your car you as you are about to leave the car wash. Once you were at the end, you have to wait for the greenlight to turn on and then you could put your car into drive and head out! Great concept and my kids love going through this car wash at least two times every time we go!

Different tiers for the unlimited car wash plans

I received an ad on my phone for this car wash under new management and was intrigued by the $9.99 unlimited monthly car wash special. That price is only for the first month but you can cancel or downgrade your plan at any time. I decided to give it a try and it was easy to sign up when I pulled up to the pay stations. The guy gave me the handout with the different levels. The require your name, phone number, email, and make/model of your car. They then put a barcode sticker inside your front windshield so that only the one car can use the membership (to prevent people from coming back with other cars under one membership plan). I signed up for the highest level "Ceramic Shield" for the first month since it's all the same price initially. The car wash instructions are pretty standard... pull forward, put car in neutral, make sure windows are up and windshields off. It does a pretty good job but I noticed some residue that wasn't touched near the back license plate. After you leave the car wash you pass by the self service vacuum stations, they have a lot but try to spread yourself out so you can open up your doors without the fear of hitting another car or vice versa! I'll be putting this membership to good use over the next month and might decide to switch between tiers! It's also convenient that you can use your membership at any Go Wash location. I believe there is another one on Indian River Rd in VA Beach.

Our car is a couple years old so I opt for the $8 wash, includes a good scrub for the wheels. The Also offer a $6 version, and I believe the highest level wash is $12-14. This car wash company offers monthly unlimited washes for $13 for the middle tier wash and I love it. Very cool deal with free vacuum ( self-service) with every wash. Their customer service is friendly, they help you with payment although these are self service too and guide you into the wash so your wheels are supported and you remember to switch to neutral. Note: if you want to cancel your monthly unlimited you must go into the location. All in all. Pretty solid, no frills car wash.

I had a membership to the Go Car Wash on Lynnhaven in Virginia Beach. Only used it a few times before I had issues. My truck, a 2023 Toyota Tundra, got identical scratches down both side of the hood after going through a wash at this location. They filed a report and told me I would hear back within 72 hours. I never heard back so I went to the location to follow up only to be told they were denying my claim saying it was pre-existing damage. If you're going to us Go Car Wash here make sure you check your car for scratches before and after!!!

I typically go for the regular wash, no frills for about $12. Rio Car Wash does offer a monthly unlimited plan but as a childless person, who doesn't drive for a ride share, I typically don't need a car wash more than once a month. After paying, you are guided by another attendant into the car wash and all you need to do is throw that baby in neutral and relax. Complimentary vacuums, windex and microfiber towels are provided, they seem to allow a bit of detailing while you use vacuums. My only recommendation is adding hand sanitizer at the vacuum or towel stations. All in all Rio does the job.

I visited rio car wash over the weekend to give my poor car a quick cleanse. Pollen season is…read morerough!! I almost missed rio as the signage is a bit confusing but says go clean in orange and in other signs less prominently seen rio is marked. Why they seem to have multiple names I don't know. Employees were there to help at checkout which is a plus for those new to system. A real live person also guides you into wash- another plus. I got to line and ordered managers special for $18. It was quick and easy. Wash was relaxing and car looked decent. Vacuums are plentiful and no extra charge. There were plenty of stations so no waiting to vacuum and no pressure to hurry. The larger tool does suck out dirt and junk. The smaller tool for small Spaces didn't do much so I gave up. Dog hair was not coming out so I will have to come up with another plan. Most vacuums can't get all the hair so I don't blame rio. My dog who claims to not shed is not being truthful! Hard to say if the extras on top of normal wash are worth it. I personally get my car waxed again as the wax applied is not the same as hand waxing. The rain-x hasn't been tested so can't say but again hand applying always works best for me. Tires looked improved but I still went over them again with a rag and applied my own tire shine. If a shine was included- with wash-I couldn't tell. I've had similar washes and paid less. The monthly plans seem to be the way to go. Just a few more bucks ($21) and go all month. The experience was nice and my car is happier and cleaner. I'll consider upgrading to a plan. There are a number of competitors in the area I plan to visit so I'm not a regular at this point. Also, there was a sign with "no loud music" which as a middle age women I didn't understand until someone played loud music. Again I'm old and it was an annoyance but I made it through without complaining. I figure I annoy everyone with my old lady driving and it was payback time.

Not a fan of "laser washers"…read more I decided to stop into this place and try out one of the washes along with my gas fill up. And I ended up opting for the $9 wash. What I thought I was saving (20 cents off each gallon, with a car wash purchase) was basically nothing but falling for a rip off. Upon driving into the wash in made one water pass and then the soap and a high pressure rinse. It was pretty much the equivalent of putting soap on your hands and then rinsing, no scrubbing or wiping; what a waste. Oh and then the 2 pass, side scrubbers like slammed into both the front and back of the car. No damage but just a big bump. Last time I checked I thought these machines did a sensory pass in the very beginning to prevent this, not so in this case. After all that it was over and onto the 60 second dryer. **Overall I WONT be returning here for a wash. All its most likely good for is after you just returned from "mudding" and are looking for a quick inexpensive rinse, but that's it. Save your cash and spend it at Car-Spa instead.

They updated the car wash very recently and gave me a free car wash of my choice, which would be…read morereally cool except I picked the most expensive wash normally at $18 and it left the worst streaks I have ever seen all over my car. I hate to give a free car wash 1 star but it left my car looking worse than it was before so I have to let the world know before you drop $18 you better have a shammy or something ready when it's over.
