The wash very busy on a warm weekday afternoon in Virginia Beach. I was greeted by a duo of friendly staff that provided wash options. I elected to get a $44.95 wash package that covered what I needed. The one staff provided charge for a tip rate end. The parking lot area in front was stack six long and two deep. Staff was very busy and it appeared to be extremely organized. I did not mind waiting for a great detail and utilized the restroom and waiting area. Everything was clean. They offer soda and snacks. After around 25-30 minutes I was called by model of car. I took a quick look around and was satisfied that a great detail was provided. I'm going outcome a limb with a 4 star first time experience, but I will return and hope they can duplicate this service.

I typically go for the regular wash, no frills for about $12. Rio Car Wash does offer a monthly unlimited plan but as a childless person, who doesn't drive for a ride share, I typically don't need a car wash more than once a month. After paying, you are guided by another attendant into the car wash and all you need to do is throw that baby in neutral and relax. Complimentary vacuums, windex and microfiber towels are provided, they seem to allow a bit of detailing while you use vacuums. My only recommendation is adding hand sanitizer at the vacuum or towel stations. All in all Rio does the job.

I almost missed rio as the signage is a bit confusing but says go clean in orange and in other signs less prominently seen rio is marked. Why they seem to have multiple names I don't know. Employees were there to help at checkout which is a plus for those new to system. A real live person also guides you into wash- another plus. I got to line and ordered managers special for $18. It was quick and easy. Wash was relaxing and car looked decent. Vacuums are plentiful and no extra charge. There were plenty of stations so no waiting to vacuum and no pressure to hurry. The larger tool does suck out dirt and junk. The smaller tool for small Spaces didn't do much so I gave up. Dog hair was not coming out so I will have to come up with another plan. Most vacuums can't get all the hair so I don't blame rio. My dog who claims to not shed is not being truthful! Hard to say if the extras on top of normal wash are worth it. I personally get my car waxed again as the wax applied is not the same as hand waxing. The rain-x hasn't been tested so can't say but again hand applying always works best for me. Tires looked improved but I still went over them again with a rag and applied my own tire shine. If a shine was included- with wash-I couldn't tell. I've had similar washes and paid less. The monthly plans seem to be the way to go. Just a few more bucks ($21) and go all month. The experience was nice and my car is happier and cleaner. I'll consider upgrading to a plan. There are a number of competitors in the area I plan to visit so I'm not a regular at this point. Also, there was a sign with "no loud music" which as a middle age women I didn't understand until someone played loud music. Again I'm old and it was an annoyance but I made it through without complaining. I figure I annoy everyone with my old lady driving and it was payback time.

I like that it has several bays, I now have a sticker on my windshield it will scan, and I can wash my car whenever I want/need on the way home. A sign in front shows the property is for sale. Overall the area was clean of debris with some trash in the rear. I opted for the automatic wash and got the "Works" for a reasonable$12. My payment processed with no issue and I waited for a car in front of me. The stall had no visible debris. Once the car departed in front of me a Green light appeared to enter and the wash immediately started spraying the undercarriage upon entering. The wash lasted approximately 6 minutes. A dry is included at the end. Once completed I parked to look at the results which were unfortunately disappointing. Lots of areas missed and a white chalky substance was in some areas, no idea what this was. I may or may not give them another try. I would not recommend.

It's worth noting, I'm not looking for grand service but GreenClean has left me spoiled I guess. The vacuums aren't great here & there's only one option for the nozzle. The car wash did not clean my car well. When I went inside to refund my membership because the service and quality is just not there, they said they could only partially refund me. I saved my receipts. The service attendant had on headphones & was chilling in the office, not happy about having to help a customer. Overall, I won't be back & I wouldn't recommend this car wash unless you want a super basic wash with no customer service.

I was in the Hilltop area and returned via the Boulevard because of traffic backed up on Shore Drive & onto Great Neck Road due to road construction. I actually almost passed the location before I noticed it. And yes, I took the next U-turn to return to the car wash. The entrance & exit isn't on the Boulevard. I turned left on Kings Grant Road and immediately saw the entrance and exit, which are side by side, It wasn't busy that time of day. So I beckoned one of the employees. He immediately knew my passenger side window needed to be pushed in. He did it with a smile. When I came out of the drive through wash I learned that you had to circle back to the area where you entered to exit, passing the same employees. The same young man immediately came over to push the passenger side window back out. What great customer service! I highly recommend this Green Clean Express Auto Wash.

I especially love their unlimited monthly passes & that you can use them at any location! This location in particular is my favorite as they have both vacuum types: skinny nozzle & wide nozzle for maximum cleaning!! The free air freshener or wipes are always a nice touch too! :)
