I attempted to get the car into my dealership (8:30 call to service department, left message and then drove over to dealership at 10:15) but they were so busy and could not give me an appointment until Thursday morning. I drove over to Wonderama. I didn't have to wait too long. They got the lights off and ordered a part which they should have tomorrow to fix the problem. As I'm new to the city, I put in a search on yelp and was contacted by multiple mechanics nearby (I'm in Jackson Heights) and requested a quote for pricing--both parts and labor, as well as the turnaround time--and Aegean was by far the best all-around. They were right on top of the correspondence, going back-and-forth with all of the details promptly and were able to secure the part, take in and run full diagnostics on my vehicle, and make the necessary repairs (including securing a new battery which I did not originally have as part of my request) within hours. We started talking around noon or so, and by 5:30, I was on my way home with everything done. They also tipped me off to some other work that I was going to need on the car in the near future regarding the tires, telling me exactly when and why I should be pursuing that work and justifying the need by showing me the tread markings as opposed to just simply claiming work needs to be done like some shops will do. You can tell they are not just about the bottom line, but really want to help out and retain their customers by presenting quality work to be done at the best price possible, which again is rare for a mechanic. Now that he has expanded h his business to Franklin Square...seems like customer service has gone down the toilet. He is not on site anymore and won't speak to customers even if there is a disagreement. There is a young guy behind the desk that seems to be running things now. I had an unfortunate encounter with him where he lied about calling me to approve services to my vehicle that I did not approve. I just wanted my brakes and rotors changed and that was confirmed when I dropped off the vehicle...only to be forced to pay for an extra tire rotation ($50 -while tires were already taken off already for brake job!) and coolant top off ($20) that was not pre approved (I had the tires already rotated that same morning at the dealership with an oil change!!). I understand that miscommunications can happen, but don't lie and tell me you called me to approve the extra services!! I have no tolerance for dishonesty!! PLEASE AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS!!!

I arrived at the location at 4:57pm and was greeted by Crystal (It may be spelled another way) who was very nice and pleasant from jump. She joked and stated, "why are you coming at 5? I'm supposed to leave followed by a smile." She proceeded to take care of me and got my vehicle photo inspection done in less than 10 minutes. I truly appreciated her excellent customer service and friendly manners. She could've told me to come back another day but decided to go above and beyond and take a few extra minutes out of her day to take care of me. I truly appreciate that.
