I always have a detail once a year because my car sleeps outside year round but never by this outfit. The interior looks and smells great but not too overpowering of a scent. The cargo area came out much better than i thought, even down to the little metal strips that he polished. Never experienced that. Greater attention to detail than expected. Prices are reasonable and his space is clean and neat. It's a quick 3min walk from the avenue street he's on, to the main street in Oceanside where there are many places to eat and shop if waiting for your car. I spend the time at the library just a one minute walk off the main street. Will frequent again. Kudos, awesome job!

After today's service with Mack, I'll never go anywhere else. My car, while not old, looks brand new and is cleaner than I ever thought it could be. He took his time with every single detail and it was well worth the wait which he gave an estimated 4-5 hour time frame and pretty much held true to it. You can tell from first meeting him when he goes over your car with you all the way through the final look over when he asks you to be his second pair of eyes if he missed anything that he takes such pride in the work he does and it truly shows. I'm BEYOND impressed and pleased and will be a faithful customer as long as he's in business.

    Let me start by saying the salesperson was solid. Helpful, communicative, no issues there…read more This review is entirely about Karp Volvo's quality standards -- or complete lack thereof. I wanted a specific build with specific features. When I arrived to take delivery, the car that was supposed to be new looked like it had been through a rough winter as a loaner. Scuffs and microscratches all over the exterior. Moderate paint chips and scratches. The windshield had dark scratch marks -- the kind you see from ice and snow scrapers. The metal trim on the steering wheel had deep dents. Tire pressure? Low. Nobody checked. The interior was somehow worse. Dirt marks on the seats. The trunk storage area had dirt and dried mud drips all over it. Nothing had been cleaned or prepped for delivery. They told me a pre-delivery inspection had been completed, turns out that was back in September. When I asked them to cover detailing or scratch repair, they offered to knock $100 off the price. One hundred dollars. On a new car that needed paint correction and a full detail. Then came the pièce de résistance: their "on-site detailing." Two guys in dirty clothes, working out of the underground garage with abrasive brushes and cheap wash products. No professional equipment. No care taken to protect the interior, the seats and floor mats weren't covered, so every time they leaned in, their dirty clothes and hands were just adding to the problem. This place cuts costs on everything. There is no quality control, no pride in the product being handed to customers. I came here only because they had the one configuration I wanted. I should have waited. Don't make the same mistake.

    Let me be clear: the only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because of Julian, who in…read moremy opinion is a good salesperson who did his best to help us. We came in seriously interested in purchasing one of the newer AMG models, but were told we could not test drive any of their AMGs due to concerns about depreciation from added mileage. That's frankly absurd in my opinion - this is a dealership selling high-performance vehicles, not a museum. I might understand that logic for something like a Ferrari or Rolls-Royce, but a Mercedes? You've got to be kidding me. We made it clear that we would not purchase any vehicle without test driving it. Their response was that a test drive would only be allowed if we first sat down to discuss pricing. When I asked how that would somehow prevent "depreciation", especially if we weren't even planning to buy that specific AMG anyway, they couldn't provide a coherent answer. It came across as a weak excuse to control the sales process rather than a legitimate policy. For comparison, the Mercedes dealership in Bayside, Queens had no issue allowing AMG test drives, so this is clearly not a brand-wide policy, but rather a specific policy of this location. We then asked to speak with a manager to better understand the reasoning. The manager literally came out but chose to ignore us after standing behind us for a few minutes. To me, this level of disregard for serious potential buyers is completely unacceptable. If this is how they treat customers before a sale, I can only imagine what happens afterward. I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere if you're looking for a professional, transparent, and respectful car-buying experience.
