Do NOT take your business here unless you enjoy being insulted and yelled at. After about a dozen times being treated with rudeness by the male staffer, Ive finally decided to take my business to another cleaner. I've been coming to Ridgeway since 2021. Every single time the man who works here handles my service, he has been rude, disrespectful or angry. My last visit was the final straw. I brought in dress shirts to be cleaned and pressed. He looked at the items I dropped off and said "you don't like to iron, huh?" I thought he was joking, so I chuckled and said no- isn't that why cleaners are in business? He shook his head angrily and said "there outta be a law." Excuse me?! You're insulting a customer for bringing in items to be pressed? Was the insinuation women should stay home and iron?? Other examples: I dropped off an expensive Williams Sonoma table runner to be dry cleaned. When I picked it up it was clearly cleaned with bleach as the color was completely faded out. He refused to take responsibility and said they had followed the cleaning instructions, so it wasn't their fault. I've been aggressively yelled at for not having my paper slip, for coming by to pick up items a couple of hours before they were ready (a simple "it's not ready yet would have been fine, but I got a loud angry lecture). You'd think this rude behavior would have kept me away, but Ive noticed he wasn't this mean to everyone, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. It took me a while to notice that the male customers who are his age are treated with respect and a friendly greeting, and I've only seen men take their business here. So there you go. Best cleaner in town and expert tailoring... I wanted to update my review, I have used them for almost two years and never had any issues. They are great at getting stains out and have late night drop off (just ask for one of their bags). Also are open on Sundays... With respect to their tailoring I have had numerous suits and dress pants tailored there and they do an excellent job. read more

Very rude and dismissive. I am looking for a good dry cleaner/tailor in Stamford. I went in to have a dress tailored, and the woman at the front was incredibly rude, telling me the tailor was not in and to come back another day. Its understandable that the tailor would not be there every hour, but the rude attitude is very unappreciated. I will continue my search and hope to find a place where the people are more respectful of their customers. read more

Over priced tailoring. Spend $180 on a prom dress which was almost twice what she charged the year before. Both were 2 layered and flowy. Won't go back or recommend. read more

After having a bad experience with a dry cleaners up the street, I decided to try Ridgeway Cleaners. I was told that a stained blazer that I had, was ruined and there was no way of removing the stains. With no help or assistance, I walked out. I ended up here, met with the employees in the front. A nice gentleman and woman quickly took my jacket to the back and said they will see if they can help. He came back about 2 mins later to show me that he removed most of the stain. I was extremely happy, I came back 24 hrs later and my jacket looked brand new. I will be sure to tell my co workers, family and friends to use this place of service for their amazing customer service and attentiveness. GREAT PLACE! read more

Called in regarding a laundry pickup, I knew it was early in the morning but just wanted to know if it was possible to pick it up sooner than scheduled. The lady who answered the phone was nice but when she asked who I would assume to be her boss, I got quite the earful. He could be heard in the background yelling and voicing his opinion about the situation, saying " What the hell do they want, tell them no... we just opened door". Among other words that he voiced out, he could not be bothered with the question, which was only meant to be a simple question in the first place. There was never any need for him to be so rude or abrasive. To me this is really bad customer service, if he has an opinion about something there is no need to answer back like that or he could of at least been more quiet about it so that I wouldn't had heard everything he said. On top of the fact that after he voice his opinion, the lady was going to tell me to please call back later at which point the "gentleman" decided he was going to take the phone from her to ask me "How can I help you" in one of the most angriest and unnecessary of tones. Ridgeway Cleaners is awesome. I took my daughter's cotillion dress to two other cleaners in Stamford. The first one looked at the dress and said, "100 dollars to clean." I went to another place that quoted me $28, then upped the price by ten dollars when I dropped it off. That was ok. A week later I received a call from them saying that the owner wouldn't clean the dress for less than $90. I couldn't believe it. They waited a whole week to tell me that.. unprofessional. Here's the good part. I took the dress across the street to Ridgeway. They were so professional and amazing. They told me they would have to take off the sequin embellishment and that they could do the job for $35. Five days later the dress was ready. It looks brand new. They were consummate professionals..honest, hard-working, knowledgeable. They turned my nightmare into a great transaction. This is my new, go-to place. read more
