Had some service work done on my US-import Pilot... the service component went pretty well (they gave it to me w/a low oil pressure indicator on which I noticed 5 min down the road, turn around and ultimately it gets cleared, there was no problem but the return issue was a hassle)... the reason the rating is as high as it is was the shuttle service/customer service - I got there late in the day, needed a ride home, and so one of them (Lindsay?) gives me a ride even though it's gonna go past closing time and sounds like she was pretty busy anyway - I appreciated that. read more

I like their customer service and I was received well by an agent who went through all the buying options but I can't trust this place because of their steps to signing up a lease contract. I didn't have a chance to look at my contract because they didn't provide me any papers when I signed up gave some random reasons for why they can't provide them. That is where I lost trust on this place. I felt like I should not be stepping in to this place, never do any business with them. Though, it was my fault to signup and when I asked to give a day to think, the sales person pushed me to sign the agreement. Incredibly poor sales experience. These guys were previously known as Yellowhead Honda. The salesman wanted me to commit to buying the car that morning if he could "beat" my quote from Millwoods Honda. If I wouldn't commit to buying the car, he couldn't produce a quote for me. (What the hell????) After 3 or 4 rounds of back and forth trying to get me to commit to buying the car if he hit the computer button to produce a quote (and me saying no, I wanted to see the price first) he eventually got his (looked like he was 24 years old) sales manager involved. The sales manager reiterated that unless I committed to buying a car if they beat my price from Millwoods Honda, they would not produce a quote. At the end, they lent me a piece of paper and I wrote down some numbers instead of getting a printed quote from their computer system. I was so ticked, I drove straight to Millwoods Honda and bought the car from them. Hey, Yellowhead Honda, did you ever think that in addition to comparing price that I'm also testing to see if I like you guys? A couple of hundred bucks one way or the other on a $40,000 car doesn't mean much If I don't like or trust you. I'm glad you showed me your true colors and caused me to run like hell because we've had nothing but great service, and considerate professional treatment from the guys at Millwoods Honda. If I could give zero stars I would. The sales staff was extremely rude. Went with my Husband to buy a car, had been all over the city and had zero problems with any other place. Unfortunately had to go in a second time because they had good cars but the service was awful and the way the sales person was talking to us you would think they didn't go off commission. I bought a car two months ago and my battery would not keep a charge. When I brought it back there they wouldn't warranty my battery unless I waited for a 3 hour deep cycle charge. I told them I didn't have 3 hours to wait and I already knew the battery was shot because I had been boosting it all month. They tried to explain to me how batteries work and how it was probably just the cold. I told them I didn't need to know how a battery worked I just need to have the car start when I push the button. They wouldn't help me so I had to buy a real battery at Canadian Tire. read more

I will NEVER return or refer anyone to this place. crap service and overpriced cars. I went there the other day. I thought it would be a great place to go look for some cars/suvs. I thought they were the least scummy of dealerships around there. I was just hoping to browse for suv's. All I really wanted was to test drive some suv's and see how I like them. When I went inside, the guy at the front door had us sit down. I was taken off guard when asked me for pretty much all my personal information right out there in the public, which made me very uncomfortable. The salesman was incredibly pushy towards my budget. He kept trying to up my price and showed me cars that were over my budget even though I reminded him of my budget. When I informed him that this was my first stop I had made for looking for a new car and that I wasn't too sure of what exactly I wanted, he immediately shut me down. He told me that he was quote: "on commission" and that "it would be a waste of his time". All I was hoping was to just have someone show me some SUV's and let me test drive some, but nope it would have been a "waste of his time" because he wouldn't have made any money off of it. never again! read more

Bought a car using the online Go Auto site, and found a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta at a dealer in Red Deer. After purchasing the car and returning to Edmonton, after a few weeks it started showing random error codes. I took it to Norden Autohaus, which is part of the Go Auto dealers here in Edmonton, AB, and mechanic confirmed what I'd already suspected; needed new spark plugs and filters, which previous mechanic had ok'ed on the mechanical inspection. This wasn't Norden's fault, but as they are part of the same program, I would figure this would fall under warranty but they instead tried getting me in to change everything (to the total of $1100.00). They even held off on ordering a warranty part until I came in to do the repairs. After writing a review to a Norden survey, someone called me to say my part was in,.. not cool. Filters and spark plugs already changed, which any monkey can do. Suffice to say, I won't be buying Go Auto ever again, if you offer a warranty your reps should honour it instead of gouging for money. read more

This review relates to my experience with the sales team at Go Honda. (I have also dealt with their service dept. beginning when they were called Yellowhead Honda back in 2002, continuing to their new location, and have always had great service from that dept.) My son was looking for his first vehicle and we found the GoAuto.ca website to be very good. I have a prior relationship with the GoHonda dealership having purchasing 2 new vehicles from them (2002 and 2010). Coupled with their large, brand-diverse used car inventory this made it a natural place to go. He had a few vehicles in mind from the website in the under $9k range as that is how much he has saved up. He is under age 25 so the cost of collision insurance premiums is prohibitive. This dictated his looking for a car where he was not risking too much by not having collision coverage. He was not planning to finance so that collision coverage would not be mandatory. We made our needs quite clear: $5k-$7k price range preferred with condition/mileage such that it would last for 5 years without catastrophic maintenance costs. He wasn't overly concerned with styling, color, brand, or anything. Dependable and within budget was it. We were being handled by salesman Chris Jelfs who was very personable and attentive. He spent a fair bit of time with us over one week as we moved thru the process. As good as he was he had a very difficult time with my son's financial/insurance situation and steered us to a $29k almost new, and extremely nice car. I was using this as a sales environment learning experience for my son so didn't immediately dismiss these efforts. We were passed around between various departments, each of which was gung-ho and excited for his selection of such an awesome car. I was beginning to feel like I was at a vacation-club sales seminar in Mexico. It got to the point where he was approved for financing and somehow a ~$4000 Gold Card protection package was incorporated into the deal by Kris Hassett (the finance agent). The cost of this vehicle after a $7k down-payment, including insurance premiums with collision (as per their insurance dept), would have been over $800 monthly. They were all set to sign him up. Had they stopped to consider beyond the sale, they would know full well that a 20-year old making $14/hr could no way afford this. I was disappointed that they would have so little regard for his financial situation that they would take advantage of his obvious purchasing inexperience to push and actually close a deal like this. If I was not there, he would have ended up with a fantastic car that he could not afford, and no ability to fiscally recover for 8 years. Most likely, he would have defaulted on the payments after burning thru his savings and ruined his credit. If I had suggested this sort of scenario for one of their own children, they would have rightly told me to bugger off. I did not do that, but used it as a learning experience for my son. We created a fiscal recap of his past year, and a 60 month projection showing where he would be, financially, given different vehicle purchasing scenarios. More fully realizing his fiscal limits and resolved to find what fit we tried again. This time we were steered to a $13k car that was also very nice, but would have required financing, which again included unaffordable insurance collision coverage. He did consider this car but again it simply would not be feasible. In the end we parted ways and found a vehicle somewhere else that was in his price range and will hopefully satisfy his needs for the next 5 years until he can afford collision coverage. I would give them 5-stars for effort, but zero-stars for listening and ability to deliver what we wanted. Their disregard for his financial situation to the point of actually pushing to close an inappropriate deal is what prompted me to write this review. If your son/daughter visits GoHonda looking for a used vehicle, go with them. read more

NEVER, NEVER GO TO this DEALERSHIP!!!WASTE OF TIME AND will SCAM YOU RIGHT AWAY as their price is completely different from what they advertise. This is based on my own experience, I was trying to buy a CR-V so I went to GO HONDA West and check, the salesman was good but what the price he offered me does not match of what the finance is giving me. In Finance, They kept on upselling me the protection package I even told them I was not interested but will continuously be pushy until i got so annoyed. When finally removed all those protection package, it still didn't match into the amount that we agreed on so I told CHAANTAL KARMENSKY, Assistant Finance Director to give me a couple of days to decide and she just gave me an attitude and told me "ANYWAY, YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER OPTION, WE WILL NOT GIVE YOU BACK YOUR DOWN PAYMENT, IT IS NOT REFUNDABLE" and that irritates me a lot, she just bullied me and try to scare me that They wont give me back the 1,000$ that I gave them to hold the vehicle. I tried to talk with the Sales Manager EUGENIO IOFOLLA trying to seek for help and told me the same arrogantly, in short nobody wants to help me. They told me that I will just get my money back once I buy the CR-V but how, I do not want it anymore. I do not want to deal with them anymore. On that very moment I just feel like not buying from them and Take my money back. They are giving me different price of what we agreed on. I've been with this dealership for 12 years. I bought an Accord back in 2004. The service there is excellent. They offer reasonable rates for servicing, they get me in for an appointment quickly, and they are very fair. I've always said that half of the car buying experience is the service department - I have never been let down by these folks. Just this week (July 2015), I went in again and purchased another Honda Accord. I wasn't sure what the experience would be like, but it was time to get something new as my old Accord had 379, 000 km on it. It was great. No pushy sales tactics, and everything was low key - take your time. I said to my wife that this was the best car buying experience ever! I got a couple of extra add-ons (trunk net, nose deflector, side mouldings and winter floor mats - about $1200 worth of stuff as indicated on the Honda web site) - my salesperson went in and haggled it down with the business manager to $600! Finally, the best part was the bill of sale. I watched CTV`s W5 report on hidden costs and extra administration fees during the car-buying process. No such thing at Go Honda. I was charged exactly what the Internet price was and two small fees for air conditioning tax and tire tax - $120.00 in total. My old Accord, which served me well, was donated to the Canadian Kidney Foundation. I`ll miss my old car, but I`m looking forward to driving my new one! read more

I recently purchased a used vehicle from this dealership, but I doubt I will buy from here again. The sales manager (Mark A) is an absolute ass*ole as his customer service skills are non-existent and is very rude and uses deceptive maneuverers. Despite that, I ended up buying a vehicle because the salesperson who I worked with made up for the shortcomings of his boss. It was fantastic working with the salesperson (Michael R). Despite the slogan of "Go Auto" website that says "you pay exactly the price you see on the website plus sales tax", expect to pay higher price here as this dealership will sneak in extra bullsh*t charges (around a thousand dollars) in the total price. Instead of using the advertised price on the website, the sales manager will bring a printout with some completely made up price that is much higher than the advertised one and pretends to give you discount but you still end up paying higher price than advertised. read more

I figured it would take a while, it being a Friday and late morning. I brought an iPad for my daughter and just waited it out. Well, they were done in an hour and had fixed a slow leak in a tire too! I will start with the positives. Everyone was friendly big smiles on their faces, interacted with me and my 2 year old offered us beverages and snacks. On the other hand I sat at this dealership for a grand total of 5 hours. I was told by that's normal keep in mind I didn't test drive. I was also told that my salesman wasn't good and normally they watch him. I was promised things like a free car starter but they wanted to charge me 1000.00 for it. I was charged another thousand for rust protection on a used vehicle with rust underneath I was told would prevent further rust. I am a single mom and my time and money is extremely valuable as anyone else's and I felt taken advantage of. I will keep this short but my experience was not good at all. read more

If you service your vehicle prices are ok, for 3 years I had my oil filter not tightened properly just once...but if you want to buy, oh man. They appraised my truck $3000 under the Blackbook value. I did not accept that, lowered my kijiji price with $1000, sold the truck the next day, and got approved from the bank for loan with better rates. Two days after, when I gave them counteroffer for the vehicle I wanted to buy I was told that the price is firm, and they cannot give me even one dollar discount. And the "no fee" thing means you are paying just 1000 bucks tax. Wow read more

Let me start by saying that I am an avid Honda fan, and have owned mutiple civics. I am also very meticulous about the paint. I spend much of my free time waxing/detailing my car. The 2 stars I have given Pointe West go to their service team, the guys who work there are great. Some of the other staff, however, not so much. I had set up an appointment with a representative from Honda 3 weeks ago. We agreed on a date and time and she was supposed to meet me in the morning. She did not show up to work that day, and they had no record of my appointment. Frustrated, I booked another time (earliest possible) for 3 weeks later and this time I showed up for a couple go-auto insured repairs. They told me they completed both repairs but when I got to my vehicle, there was a scratch they completely missed. I tell them about it. They take the car back. 20 min later I get the keys again, but they still haven't touched the scratch. They really polished the wrong quarter panel though. I was told that when I brought the vehicle in that I pointed to another area of the car and that's what they fixed. The scratch came from a cyclist who rubbed up against my car, so it would be very unlikely for me to mix this up. So they take my car back a third time. This time when it comes back they do a walk around with me. They had to wash the car prior to fixing the scratch so I was happy about that. This time the scratch was fixed but there were MUCH WORSE new scratches on my rear bumper. It looked as it someone had set something down on the bumper and those new scratches were much worse that the ones the cyclist had left. They told me there was no way the scratches came from them. I asked them "Why would I take my car in to get a little scratch fixed when there is worse and much more obvious scratches on my bumper?" Not only that, but I often take digital photos of my car and could prove that it was not there before my visit. Eventually after pleading my case they brought my car in one more time, and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. But after what it took me to get to this point, it was not worth it. Short version: Be very careful when they offer you the go-auto programs, and double check to make sure your appointment is in the system. read more

If I could give a 0 star I would. This has to be one of the most incompetent, slow, lazy dealerships I have dealt with. I brought a 2019 Honda Civic close to a couple months ago now. When I picked up my vehicle on the Friday afternoon I was informed that while freighting in my car it received a couple scratches, I was ensured that I Monday morning I would receive a call to get my car booked in and get the scratches fixed. Monday came around... no call. Tuesday afternoon... still no call, I proceeded to call them to see what's going on and was told they would now call Wednesday. Wednesday comes along... no call. I needed to actually go into the dealership to get it booked. Once I was finally able to bring in the vehicle, the department taking care of the scratches had no idea what I was talking about, they had no clue that they were suppose to be fixing the scratches. After they were unable to fix the deep scratches, I was referred to the auto body department, were once again I was told I would get an email to get my vehicle booked in. 3 WEEKS later I needed to call them to see what was going on and they said it still hadn't been approved by management 3 WEEKS later. After excuses 1 hour later I got it booked it. When it was all done I received a call to come pick up my car and once again I got to the dealership and they couldn't find my keys, turns out it was still was not ready. This dealership is a colossal waste of time and money. I look forward to informing everyone that asks about where to buy a new vehicle to avoid Go Honda at all costs. Some of the worst customer service I have received without a doubt. Ooo... and the best part is after waiting an hour and a half for them to finish washing my vehicle, they left a den where they fixed the scratches. Unbelievable. read more

Recently purchased a vehicle from here. I was told that the remote starter was working when I purchased my vehicle. I got it home and it was not. Once the sale is done customer service goes out the window. I was told I would have to pay for a new starter. Rude management saying "you already got a good deal, I'm not putting a new starter in a 2009 vehicle" I feel taken advantage of and lied to. The cost of a new starter is nothing to a big company like this but it's something to me. Very dishonest. read more

I bought a used SUV 25th of January 2020 after did a test drive. Then, this salesman named Jesse Michetti, a.k.a Internet Sales Manager told us first, that the tires were brand new. Checked a week ago and it was on 7/32nd thread left. Second, vehicle was sent for a wheel alignment. I asked for a copy of the 3rd party report(midas) but instead he gave me the AMVIC. Third, as soon as took the vehicle home, I noticed that the vehicle was very dirty, full of coffee spills and not the way he said it. 4th, he never follow up with the customer. 5th, they sell used vehicle without spare keys then he will advertise that everythings are perfect. Now, I just had a recent issue with the check engine light came on while driving to the city so the next day I phoned them to solve the problem. Problem was an EVAP code which needs further diagnostics and kept telling me that I have to pay. I am still on a 30-day warranty after the delivery, they did not fix it. Apart from that they said that my powertrain warranty which I bought $899 will not cover it. They keep not authorizing my issues because they don't want to carry the cost of repair which they should be doing apart of they are selling. They never resolve the problem and as I had a talk with their sales manager, it will always sound that this jesse guy will always have him under his desk. So whoever thinks the sales department deserves a 5-star go and think of it. I can give 5-stars to the SERVICE department but NOT the SALES. Also, I urge some of you to send your complaints to the council as well. read more

This review is specifically for the Go Insurance department of Go Auto. I had commercial auto coverage with them and I was sent an email on the 19th saying I had a payment installment due on the 30th. Over the next 11 days I tried calling and sent 2 emails with no reply, asking to switch my policy to personal coverage. Finally my broker (Bill Shuster) replies on the 30th, saying I would have to cancel my current policy. Again, it takes a couple days to get a response (I've already switched companies in a mad rush so I could get coverage to drive to work). I'm still currently waiting on a reply for an enquiry I had last week. The point is there are dozens if insurance brokers out there that will value your business but this isn't one of them, do your research! read more

By far the worst people/ car dealership in Edmonton. I wrote a review on google if you want to full story, the long and short of it all, i bought one vehicle... within 30 minutes it was spraying coolant all over a save on parking lot( 2010 honda element). Needless to say i did not take it. then after two weeks of arguing about which vehicle i wanted( every one i wanted seemed to be " just sold" all except the other elements..... hmmmm) i ended up with a 2007 Nissan Murano. WELL the muffler fell off the next week, and i have to get the transmission rebuilt in two months( even thought it was factory approved ???) all brake routers were warped the next month, there were no CV boots at all, those had to get re done. All in all the cost of the repairs was 12,000 thats right twelve thousand dollars, half was paid for bye the aftermarket warranty i bought ( thank goodness) and the other half i had to pay for. SOOO after a year of owning this vehicle i went in and told them i could not afford to drive this piece of garbage anymore and if they had any respect for the customer they would take it back and give me a good deal on something else....... well they basically told me to leave( the " deal" they gave me was 7000 more then any other 2011 ford escape in edmonton) I Went to another dealership and got a great deal.. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! they come off as super great and " for the customer " but they would intentionally sell you a lemon just to make a buck off you. Liars and cheats. read more

totally dissatisfied... i was talking with sales consultant about buying a used car. we were discussing on price and finally i said i will think and get back to you. shortly after five minute that sales consultant come out with the price, that price was fit in my budget so i said ok i will talk with my wife and called you guys back. when i call them making our mind and of course telling everybody about buying a new SUV worth $40000, he took my address,phone no etc. after manager called and said sorry they wont be able to give me that price and trying to prove me wrong abt price we agreed. when i insist that you can double check with your sales consultant if i am wrong. he said he will and call me back soon. to my wonder he didn't call me back and when i call back the same sales consultant said he didn't tell that price and if he did i didn't put deposit so that price is not valid. what a forceful selling tectic...how a person can give answer right away on phone...totaly disgusting..never go back to them again ak read more

Do not believe them if they give you a life time oil change offer. Sounds like a deal but it isnt. Requires you to get a full car maintenance every two times you do get your oil changed, basically making each oil change around 100$ a pop. A huge joke. read more

Before you purchase your car, make sure you read the terms and condition of the warranty and protection plans specifically the FCPP. Because once you signed the contract they will not allow you to make amendments even if you have not yet drive the vehicle. Talk directly to FCPP if you have questions and concerns regarding their products, don't sign any contract from the dealership until FCPP addressed your concern. The person handled my contract was not knowledgeable about the product (FCPP) and gave me wrong information and sold me a wrong product. Good thing there is a 30 day cancellation but I have to pay $100 for that. read more

Go Honda is useless!!! I setup an appointment for service due to a recall and they assured me it was a half-day repair time. It so happens that they couldn't get their bay door functioning and waited until the end of the workday (4:30 pm) to call me. So they miraculously managed to open the bay door (conveniently also at the end of the day) but now it's an overnight job. That part doesn't bother me sure problems come up, but the rep that I spoke to says he's been trying to reach me all day and somehow he kept getting a message saying my phone number no longer exists. Which is "weird" because when he was finally able to reach me it was with the same number. I somehow don't believe that he got that message every time he tried dialing my number because the night before and the same morning I received 3 phone calls from Go Honda reminding me to drop off my car. What bothers me is that they can't kick their ass into gear to lend me a loaner car for the evening, talk about customer service and client retention. Now it's the end of the day and I have some important engagements that I must attend this evening and I'm left scrambling to find a ride. The rep clearly doesn't have much sense when it comes to dealing with customers, he simply put it "well can't you get a ride from someone." When it's last minute and you have important things to do starting at 6 it's kind of hard to arrange something. The only reason my car is in there in the first place is because of a faulty airbag system that Honda manufactured and necessitated a recall. Simple problems do happen but they can also be resolved with simple solutions, aka trying your god damn hardest to send me a loaner vehicle. A simple solution like that A. wouldn't piss me off B. might persuade me to return there in the future C. wouldn't cost me taxi money from getting one place to the next all evening. If Go Honda isn't able to accommodate their clientele on such minor issues how accommodating can they be when larger issues arise? read more

i was looking crv all wheel drive ...these guys not nice they tried to charge much more then others in edmonton.Manager was trying to tell how much they pay for facilities...I dont care how much ...i need good deal ...I know that crv all wheel drive you can buy for 29400 dollars total price inc.all taxes but believe these guy will never sell you i think you can get 30000 and they tell you that it is best deal...I would not recomend to buy anything in this dealership. read more
