There were a few aspects of the university that made me decide to go with their program. Top of the list was excellent reviews by current and former students. Next, I wanted a program that would be extremely challenging, as I wanted a high quality education from a regionally accredited university. Last, I needed flexibility within my work schedule to be able to do my writing and research when I wanted. For me, Amberton fit all of these requirements. I am about halfway through my MS Human Resources, and I have been extremely pleased with the professors, and the education I have received. My GPA is high, but I have worked very hard for it. This school is not for the faint of heart, so be prepared to dedicate a lot of time to your class on reading and writing papers. Also, you must receive a 92% to achieve an A grade, 82% for a B, etc., and during undergrad I was on the standard scale of 90-100% being an A. The only reason I did not give Amberton five stars is due to their current online interface. Although they have made large strides in the past year to upgrade the online experience, there is minimal use of multimedia and interactive resources. Being a smaller school, I understand it takes a large budget to get there, but in my opinion this is the one area their programs are currently lacking. Once they fill this gap, it will be a five star experience. All in all, the education I have received has been extremely valuable, as I can apply it in real-time at my current position. I recommend this program to anyone who is serious about their academics, and wants to use their degree to succeed in the future. I'm very confident my degree will enhance my ability to be promoted in the future.

Amberton University is a school for working ADULTS. It was great to go to school with people my own…read moreage. I liked that this school didn't have excessive fees for things I didn't need. Parking is free, there is NO gym, and everyone is a commuter. All classes are in the evening, on Saturday mornings, or online. The professors understand that they are teaching working adults, and sometimes the demands of work or family cause us to miss class. They were ALWAYS willing to accommodate me. I had terrific professors at Amberton. Most of them have been there a long time, and I only had one adjunct while I was there. Classes were not huge, so I felt that I had the opportunity to get to know my profs. They were always available for office hours, which I frequented often. Best part about Amberton--the price. It is so much cheaper than other schools around. I got out of graduate school with no debt. Study groups were abundant. The book store was terrific about buying back my books. The staff was always helpful. The campus is not pretty. There are not a lot of degree choices or elective choices. This is truly a no frills university. To me, none of that stuff mattered as long as I graduated without debt! Check it out if you are looking into grad work or undergrad work.

Dallas College is a nightmare. Financial Aid is completely messed up all the time. The schedule…read moreis never correct. Classes that should be there are left off and instructors that left years ago and will not be teaching are still listed. Opt-out does not work after a year of trying to get help through every avenue possible. Emeritus students get dumped 4 times a semester for non-payment when their classes are supposed to be free. The employees are wonderful, but they are not trained and nothing ever gets fixed. Implementing Workday has been a complete disaster and has done nothing but cause problems for everyone. Students will spend hours on the online queue only to get dumped without being helped. Going on campus for services takes hours and one will be shuffled endlessly from one department to another as no one knows how to do anything. Communication is absolutely terrible across the board. Dirty professors like Dr. Andrew Evangelista will put students into dozens of hours that will not transfer, but will exhaust financial aid and may land students in out of state tuition upon transfer. Despite numerous complaints nothing is done to stop rogue professors like him. He was a temporary Music Department Chair and now has been named a permanent one. He added junior level classes that can never transfer and has expanded the music program into complete collapse. Who wants to sing in a choir of 7? Dallas College is a disorganized and chaotic mess. When will the administration and the board start listening to students, paying parents, taxpayers and graduates of the program and making the desperately needed changes?

Good Morning after…read morebeing let go from my previous employer after 8 years, I was left wondering what next - and while the world was in the middle of a global pandemic it was a difficult decision to make while locked up in the house Reassessing , I made the choice to learn a new career. the programs at Peloton College offered choice in careers that will give me an edge to maintaining employment and at any part of the country should I need to in any situation . Medical Billing and Coding was my choice , and I was determined to attain to the best of my ability the course program and achieve a new successful career not only was it a challenge to go back to school but to also overcome the fear after not being in school since high school graduation 1989. and at being an older adult I was second guessing my own abilities. from administrators to the faculty, I never had a second thought about the quality of training and empathy I was getting from Peloton College and also the fact that the curriculum was based in a classroom , and having to attend the classes 90% in a online format due to the pandemic made it more challenging to complete, but my instructor gave me the curriculum in a matter that I could understood and surpass my expectation of what I could achieve myself. Ms. Diana Bowie not only made it understandable but also made the complexity of Medical Billing And Coding easy to grasp and learn. Peloton College's determination to provide students the tools to succeed in new careers is fully demonstrated.
