I bought a 2014 Nissan Versa Note SL with 73159kms from Go Nissan South. At 138000kms the CVT transmission began to leak and the windshield wipers were not functioning correctly. Brought the car to Go Nissan North and was quoted at 8800 for a transmission replacement and 1000 for a windshield wiper motor ?!?!? Last Thursday, I went to this Go Nissan South dealership with the intention of just looking around for car options. The sales rep. assisted us and introduced us to some vehicles. We were in a conversation discussing about a blue Nissan Kicks, and he asked me to put $500 deposit down without telling me it is non-refundable. He just told me that's the only way to hold the car while I am still considering all my options. All other dealerships I've spoken to advised me that the deposit is refundable. But clearly not at this dealership. This is my first time wanting to buy a car; I have no idea about any terminology on a vehicle purchase and this dealership does not bother to explain and to protect any consumer rights. I did not even know what Bill of Sale means and no one there explained to me or helping me out within the process except they kept pushing me to buy the vehicle. I felt being taken advantage of. After I did the deposit transaction, the sales then asked me to sign a piece of paper AFTER charging me $500 against my credit card. He did not explain to me that this paper is a Bill of Sale and did not explain what consequences this Bill of Sale would carry out if I signed. Furthermore, he and the finance manager DID NOT EVEN PROVIDE me a COPY OF THE CONTRACT I signed on spot nor before I left the dealership that same day. Instead of helping me by giving me helpful financing advice, the financing manager kept pushing me to buy things that I did not want. When I was at the dealership, the entire process made me feel very vulnerable and extremely stressful. On Friday, my brother and I went back to try to get my copy of the bill of sale, but they still did not give it to me because they did not know how long the financing manager would be finished with another client in her office and the contract was in her office. I felt it's being held as hostage. IT WAS JUST A PIECE OF PAPER, and they kept finding excuses over just simply knocking on the door to help me get the contract. And last night, I sent an email request for seeing the general manager this evening to cancel the bill of sale. I sent the message to the salesman, the financing manager, and the email provided from the Go Nissan South's website. However, when we went back this evening, they did not prepare to see us, they asked another sales manager to converse with us. And we have to repeat the whole situation over and over again but still, they are reluctant to give us my vehicle purchase cancelation confirmation. They kept saying the confirmation needs to come from General Manager or General Sales Manager who were both not there tonight EVEN THOUGH we have given them a bunch of notice in advance. I felt like they kept kicking me around and bouncing my concerns to different representatives in different levels. We find the entire process is very questionable. I know my financial situation. My car loan should not even be approved in the first place. And, I have NEVER EVER agreed to their car financing proposal. To me, the entire process feels like a scam. I would never ever purchase any vehicle from Go Nissan South. Their team is unprofessional, irresponsible, and deliberately conceals the information that customers need to know throughout the entire process. It lures customers to make decisions not in their best interest and they just want to sell cars without proper customer caring. Then after checking with his manager we could go out alone as long as we provided our insurance info. I know the dealership has tons of insurance. Toyota had no trouble with us going out. My girlfriend and I had scheduled a viewing to look at a used car on the lot, with a sales price of roughly $22000. The sales associate (Tafara Nemutambwe) sent a text letting us know if anything changed on his end that we would be updated. We traveled from Fort MacMurray to view/buy the car, upon arrival and after taking a deposit for the car and taking a test drive in the car, we are told that someone else has already put a deposit on the car (guess anything to get us into the dealership). After being informed the car was sold to someone else we viewed a second used car on the lot and shown an "inspection" from you guys and as the Tafara put it, squeeky cleen car. This car had significant damage along with problems such as no heat/blower/ac/under carriage damage, oil leaks etc We put a deposit on the used car we wanted to purchase, but after convincing my girlfriend to test drive a Nissan Altima the high pressure sales tactics ensued which ultimaly led to my girlfriend having a full breakdown/panic attic in the store. While she is hyperventaling and crying Kyle still tried to push very hard for her to purchase a car which we said numerous times we cant afford ($290 biweekly and $377 a month for insurance for someone who makes roughly $2000 a month if she doesn't miss a day at work) Kyle has called me this morning and I have informed him we are no longer interested in doing business with go Nissan and we had a terrible experience, surprisingly his reply was "I thought we didn't leave off that bad yesterday" I am appalled that someone having a full mental break down and walking out of the store bawling is considered "not that bad" and how a sales associate can try to justify that kind of purchase to someone who knows they wouldn't be able to make the payments. I have owned 3 Altima 3.5's an Infiniti G-20 and an Infiniti G35 Coupe, all purchase at Ericson Nissan in Edmonton. To say the least, I like these cars. Since Go Auto has purchased all of these dealers, their style of service has changed a lot. We have been having some problems with one of our key fobs. We get a message that says "battery low." I know how to test and change a common battery. I changed the battery on several occasions in both key fobs. The message persisted. I took the car to Go NIssan South, formerly Mills Nissan. For the pleasure of bringing my car in I was charged $25.98 to replace two brand new batteries that cost me about 3 bucks each. They then charged me the princely sum of $117.35 for them to run some sort of unwanted 'free' inspection of my car, and some minor tests on the key fobs, both of which came up as being tip-top and having zero issues. The operating philosophy of the Go group is to charge as much as it can for service, and do as little as possible to solve problems. read more

I would never ever deal with this dealership again. I have had many problems with their work, attitude, and services. The personnel are also not friendly. Last year I was told that my Murano has a leak on its Transfer Assembly. I paid for fixing it. After 15 months again when I went for an oil change, the service man said again I have the same leak on my Transfer Assembly and cost $2090.78 to fix it. I told them you fix the same problem last year; I was told it was warranty just for a year and my repair has pass 12 months. Is this expensive work repair just for one year? Who is the technician? How can you trust the dealership. I had many other services issues, which if I write them, it may become pages and pages. They fixed my engine light a few times, still is not working. I pay really for noting. I make it short and tell you one more issue. When I bought my Murano a few years ago, I signed for a 7-year prepaid maintenance after a year they told me that my signed contract is different from what I think I bought. When I bought the contract from their finance person, he talked to me for a contract which I became interested. The finance person also told me that if I do not buy this contract my warranty for the engine would not be valid by Nissan Canada if anything goes wrong. I believe when I bought the prepaid contract the finance person got my signature on another contract. After a few arguments and writing to Nissan Canada, I did not get any decent respond and I had to go with the cheaper contract than I expected. read more

I had a great experience here, I was helped by the salesperson Mark and finance manager Adam. They were very down to earth people, and helped me get the vehicle I wanted! There were some damages on the back passenger door, but after some negotiating, they agreed to fix it at their own cost. When we came to pick up the car, Mark was unavailable but another salesperson, Danielle, took us through a final walk through and pointed out all of the features of our car and taught us how to use them. We did have to wait quite a while for a license plate, after which we had to go get... But, the registry was very close- and the dealership even paid for my new plate! Everyone treated us with respect and were completely honest and open with me. What more can you ask from a car dealership? I recommend this place to everyone looking for a new or used car- make sure to ask for Mark or Danielle! :) read more

dishonest, misleading, sleazy. My daughter bought a car from them in 2020. my husband and I were there with her. We were coerced into buying the extended warranty with repeated assurances and guarantee by the salesman that if we don't use the service then she'll get the money back ($2449)at the end of the loan term. I called today to find out the date of the end of the term only to be told that they don't give money back and that the finance manager at the time does not work there anymore. I asked to escalate to a manager and was told that it's month end and they are all busy. At the time of the purchase I asked repeatedly and for clarification that we would get that money back should we not bring the car in for service and it was the only reason why I signed up for the contract. My daughter was planning on using that money for school and in a way it was a good way to guarantee that it would be available at the end of the loan term for her to use. I plan on visiting the dealership on Monday and filing a complaint with the BBB and I will warn others using various social media platform if this isn't resolved. completely livid over this. read more

I brought my vehicle in for servicing on December 31, 2018 to have the oil changed and the blower motor replaced. When I went to pick up my vehicle the stereo no longer worked (which I had immediately noted to the dealership prior to leaving). On January 4, 2019 I brought my vehicle back at no cost for the dealership to repair the stereo that they had broken, however they found it was not repairable and would need to be replaced. The advisor was only authorized to offer a $350 used stereo and recommended talking to the manager. I contacted the manager on January 4, and eventually heard from her January 8 by voicemail and she offered a $150 stereo, which is still ridiculous since they caused the damage. Following this my husband and I made multiple attempts to speak with the manager by phone however she refused to call back, despite multiple voicemail that we left. We contacted the general manager on January 21 by email and still have not been contacted by the dealership to discuss a solution. I think it's unfortunate because the dealership has been great until now. It's very unprofessional that they will not even call us back to have a discussion. read more

They listened to my questions and concerns and took me through the whole car buying process. I purchased a Nissan Versa from Mills with a lot of help from the staff -- it was a good experience. The wait time between purchasing the car and meeting with the finance department was unncessarily long, and I also felt pushed into signing up for extended warranties that I didn't really want. Given the reputation that car dealerships have, though, overall I felt that I wasn't scammed and that the staff here treated me kindly and fairly. I would visit Mills again for another car purchase and recommend it to friends. read more

One thing I would say is that if you buy from Go Nissan, get everything in writing. I bought a car from them, a 2019. I looked at the car one evening , but being unable to drive home that night, I stated I would pick up in the morning. When the next morning came the car was at my door, dropped off by Lot attendant. Then and there I knew there was a problem, as it is usually ha the salesperson drop it off. When I checked the car out in the day the front windshield, they said had a little crack was from one side to the other, the tires had to be replaced and the trunk had a few used parts in it. At 70-years-of-age and suffering from PTSD, did not stop them from committing fraud Their policy of " if you are not satisfied with the vehicle they would exchange it with a vehicle of the same value. All they could say is that it is too late. My previous vehicle was bought at another Go Auto dealer, St. Albert Honda. The panels on the roof kept coming off as the were stuck on with double sided tape. They again would not fix the problem. They state that there in no admins fee, that you see, but if not built in the price, they will list some kind of transfer to charge you $699. My days with the fraud and forgery of go dealerships and the lack of concern of upper management, should keep you away. There idea is to make money off vehicles and care very little about the people they hurt in the process. They have so many dealerships that they can get the bank to do what ever they want. I am not telling anyone not to buy their, but if they choose to, be very careful of watch is told to you and any promise they may make. Honestly, not too impressed with the service department. I had a screw in my tire and I went to them to fix the leak. I bought an extended warranty when I bought my Rogue at the same dealership. The warranty covered any tire damage up to 50000km(a $5000 purchase). So when I come in to get my tire fixed, I bring my contract with me just in case(I wasn't expecting to have to show them). However, Tia, the service advisor, told me the job would be $45. I protested and showed her the contract, and I even highlighted the part where it said my tires would be fixed for free. SHE DID NOT BELIEVE ME, and proceeded to check with the finance manager that sold me the plan. Anyways, we got it squared away and ended up doing the service for free, although I was annoyed that she had to check. So I leave the dealership, and I notice that my tire pressure sensors aren't registering the pressures for any of the tires. So I go back. When I talk to Tia she proceeds to argue with me AGAIN, saying that nothing is wrong. Well, clearly something is wrong, otherwise I wouldn't be here, dummy. Anyways, one of the mechanics ended up re-initializing it and the sensors starting working again. It turns out that the previous mechanic's equipment wasn't calibrated properly. Not too impressed with this place. Gave them two stars because they are close to where I live and I mainly had a problem with Tia, the service advisor. read more

Dishonest and misleading. I took my vehicle into Go Nissan to have a very specific problem diagnosed. The problem, as provided to Go Nissan, was "There is a front vibration occurring when turning at lower speeds". The diagnosis I received was the transmission needs to be replaced. This was determined by the characteristics of the transmission fluid. Upon examining the transmission fluid, the tech, Cody Junck, concluded that there was ATF in the transmission instead of proper CVT fluid, and this is causing the vibration. I was quoted $7,176.98 to replace the transmission and solve my problem. In addition, I was provided with a quote for an additional $5,631.12 in repairs that Go Nissan felt I could use. The diagnosis of the vibration was wrong. The transmission was flushed several months prior with the correct fluid. As such, I didn't agree with Go Nissan's diagnosis, and so I had independent journeyman tech take a look. He determined that the issue was a seized front universal joint on the rear driveshaft. In the end, I purchased a used driveshaft for $375, installed it, and the problem was fixed. I spoke with Go Nissan about their diagnosis. I insisted the transmission contained the correct fluid. I offered to provide evidence of this. Go Nissan's response, in a nutshell, was that while I did not get the diagnosis I brought my vehicle in for, I did receive a diagnosis, and that should be good enough. I didn't accept that response and in the end, the service manager ended up hanging up the phone on me. I reached out to the parent company, Go Auto, however, they would not respond back to me. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but they too have not responded to me. In the end, I feel the service received from Go Auto was dishonest and misleading. They charged me for something I did not ask for, they were not able to solve my problem, and they tried to sell me parts and services I did not need. The competency of the Go Nissan Techs needs to be brought into question. While I can tell you to be very careful when looking to Go Nissan to solve issues with your vehicle, I wish I could give you a better option not to have to be subjected to these sorts of business practices. I am yet to find a trustworthy alternative to vehicle maintenance. I don't recommend taking your vehicle to Go Nissan for service. I also would caution you should choose to do business with any Go Auto dealership. As for the Business Better Bureau, I don't understand their role - I don't see any value. read more

Was dealing with Danielle, had an appointment, upon arrival got into the car with bird shit on the passenger window, not just regular little poop, it was a size of ..... 3-4 inch in diameter. The smell inside was .... Negotiations: sticker price $29.9K, I offered $28K just because car had issues and there they go with dirty technics such as holding hostage your credit/debit card. Offering terms on payment without finalizing the price for the car. That was horrendous experience. At home I calculated what they offered me. It came out to $37K with my $10K down payment. I bought a dodge journey from this dealership at the end of June this year From Sarah Thowsen everything was ok I had mentioned that there was front end damaged and I wanted it fix and she said it was built into the deal so I will have my bf fix it for you and as for the windshield having a crap I am still waiting to have it sealed so it won't crack anymore. Well a month later when I drove to Vancouver for a job interview and to look at home on my way there the front bumper started to fall off I had a semi truck pull me over to tell me on the mountain and I text Sarah Thowsen so I would have proof of the conversation and she turned around and asked me did you pull to far forward or did someone hit you? LOL I told her I back in everywhere and for the past day I have been driving so "NO" no one has hit me. When I arrived back in Edmonton OCTOBER 12 2016 I texted her right away for her to tell me she doesn't work there anymore so I contacted Megan the finance person and she passed my message on to Derek the manager a week later he calls me after Megan told him to call and asks me to call him back on the week of NOVEMBER 7th so I did and I still haven't heard back from him. I went in on Sunday November 7th to try and get this resolved and I ended up speaking with Alex Lush and he is useless. I was trying to tell him the problem I been having since July and all he tells me you have had the vehicle for over a month there is nothing we will do for you it is your problem LOL then he proceeds to say well you can trade it in if you like, I looked at him and said are fucking kidding me right now I just want the front bumper fixed and he comes back and says no sorry nothing we will do for you it is your problem. I told him ok I will have it dealt with and he said go ahead and walked away. so I sat in the vehicle writing to AMVIC in their parking lot sent all the paper work, what was wrong and the issues I have been having since JULY/AUGUST. I have been getting no response since I brought up this problem even when I get in the dealership and ask to speak to management they look from their desk located in the far back corner and tell the receptionist they are busy and to come back later. I would never go back to a "GO" dealership ever again their customer service when there is a problem is horrible they don't fix the problem they just suggest that you trade you vehicle in. In my search for a Nissan Rogue, I called Go Nissan South to ask if a vehicle was available for viewing. After waiting for five minutes, someone named Derrick claiming to be a sales manager answered my call. When I wouldn't immediately give him my phone number he became very short with me and put me on hold. After waiting several more minutes he came back on the line and said "Nope, that vehicles gone" and promptly hung up on me without waiting for a response. I was a little offended at this to say the least, so I called back and asked to speak with the same person. When I got him and asked why he hung up on me, all he said (in a sarcastic voice) was "what is this the guy who wouldn't give his phone number?" Needless to say he gave no legitimate reason for his rude behaviour (as if there could be one) and I will not be purchasing a vehicle from them ever. If that's how the sales manager treats their customers, I can only imagine what their salespeople are like. I understand places get busy, but hanging up on a customer? The service manager at Mills dealt with Nissan Canada as well and in the end, the repair ($1700) was covered completely by Nissan. We went to Go Nissan South one weeknight to check out colors for the Nissan Rogue. We don't intend to purchase a vehicle from this location since we already test drove some Nissan vehicles from another Nissan dealership in Edmonton, where we plan to buy. We met Melvin and he was very helpful, never pushy, and had a sincere, very welcoming personality. We already did our research, so we don't want to waste time negotiating in person. We negotiated via email, and Melvin responded promptly to our queries and requests, which the other dealership failed to do. He introduced us to the GM Derek, who was more than willing to accommodate our requests. Derek, together with Mark (Finance Manager) were both very professional, who listened well to what we needed. Without further adieu, we finalized our purchase right away, instead of going back to the previous Nissan dealership. Melvin followed through with the sales process and was very detailed and patient in explaining how to use the new vehicle upon delivery. What we admired about Melvin is his honesty. While he knows his product, he was humble enough to admit if he does not know the answer to our question and follows through as he promised. I was very disappointed at the service. I spent over 4 hours there today for fixing the air bag light on but get nothing fixed back. First, I made an appointment several days ago but I was told to wait at least 2 hours when I arrived (appointment does not make a sense). Secondly, I saw three people later than me completed their service before me (not first come first served). Thirdly, I finally got my car back after complaining. I was told that my car had passed the checking points and I paid $170 service fee. But the car air bag light on occurred on the way I was back to home (the checking failure). Finally, I had to go back and was told to replace the spiral cable and would charge me $766.50 to fix. My God, why don't tell me in the first place and let me doing a road test? I complained it to the service manager Amada Anderson, but she repeated to me all of these were the way it is. read more

TERRIBLE! I went to Go Nissan South to test drive a car advertised on their website. After trying it out, I determined there was an issue with the brakes. My sales associate, Tarik, brought in a sales manager who offered to fix the brakes as a condition of the purchase, however, I told them they first need to complete the work in a satisfactory manner. I was also contacted by Punit, who simply reiterated my conversations with Tarik. The next day they informed me the parts had been received and the work would be completed for the following day. We agreed to have me test the repair, a price for the car, and I made a deposit on the vehicle. Later that day, I was called by the dealership since the vehicle had been sold to another patron. The dealership did not care about the time I had spent with them there or on the phone. A few days later I was contacted by their Product Manager, Brandon. He ensured me they had a similar vehicle at a local car lot and the car would be rushed to their dealership. They offered to pick me up so that I can test the vehicle. After being told they can't pick me up, he offered to bring the vehicle to my house. This also didn't happen, as they had now informed me another patron had put a deposit on the vehicle. I was confused as to why my deposit was pointless yet the second vehicle was restricted. Then Kody, the General Manager called me, only to say I can purchase something else on their lot, but nothing was similar to the one I was looking at. He mentioned their was nothing at the auctions similar to what I wanted and the vehicle was a "unicorn" (yet I had once "purchased" that vehicle). This dealership was a complete waste of time, and contacting the Go Auto team did not help either. TERRIBLE! read more

Just tried to buy a car from them. Great iniital price and service. However, the price increased by $1,000 the first day after agreeing to a price and just before siging for the deal. Then five days later the price increasd again by another $475. These guys are unethical and I would never buy a car from them. Please take heed and stay away. read more

I have never been enthusiastic about using the dealership shop for anything. Being new to metro Edmonton and not likely to stay long; I opted to have this Nissan dealership change out and store my snow tires. Before the lockdowns were set to return I had set an appointment to have my summer tires put back on my van, and when when the lockdowns were to be reimposed; I was easily able to move my appointment up a day. When I arrived, the customer lounge was closed due to construction as were the washrooms. Portable washrooms were available but for 1 user per gender. The customer waiting area was a circle of lawn chair, outside, on a day with a sub 20 high. After waiting outside for an hour, my service technician called me to let be know that one of my summer tires ( which had been in their custody for several months) had previously unnoticed sidewall damage and leakage, and of course had to be replaced. When questioned on the matter, the service manager said that there is no way the damage could have happened in their warehouse or shop but was of such a minor and imperceptible nature that I would have not noticed it before having the tires removed and stored for the season.Yet, this damage was of such a severe and catastrophic variety that the tire could not be placed back on my van. And, of course, not a situation where they could hold any liability for items that had been in their custody for nearly six months. Having worked in warehousing and 3PL for years; if you do not catch damage to merchandise before it enters your facility it is your liability if it's discovered before it leaves your facility. The only course of action available was for me to purchase new tires, right then and there, from them. This happened in Alberta not Alabama. I would have thought that such shady business practices were beneath the values of western Canadians. It appears that Go Nissan South has embraced the business model of dragging their customers over a barrel in order to extract as much money from them as possible. I had the snow tire placed back on my vehicle and left. I would buy 8 new tires elsewhere before financially supporting such dishonest practices. read more

I just went to go purchase a car from this dealership. The person who handled my sale was a friendly nice man who almsot had me convinced to purchase the vehicle. After a brief discussion, the topic of price came up and my friend and I wanted to discuss a better deal, so he brought in a man named tod, who we could only assume was a manager or someone in charge of financing. He offered a slightly lowered price after a short discussion, and stated he was only make a small profit of just over $800. I responded with the simple comment "I don't think the car is worth that much" He immediately followed with snarky comments saying I don't know what a car is worth, it's not my job to know, and i don't do appraisals for a living, that I was wrong & many more arrogant and condescending comments. He also mocked my credit standing, smirked at my financial situation & didn't give me the option to think about the deal. I have financed a car from a different nissan dealership and had no problems. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone who wants to purchase a vehicle. The service was terrible, and they were extremely rude. read more
