Place has cameras all around and it is fenced so I think security wont be an issue here. When unloading we had one piece that was heavy and she was willing to help but I insisted it was too much for her so she called someone that came and gave us a hand, strong guy and he left and didn't want to take any money. Good people are still around in this world and Robin and friend are some of them. I have it on autopay so second month is free. We will be tenants for a while.

I moved from…read moreAustin to Charleston over four weeks ago and utilized U-Haul as my moving company of choice for everything from Mo to the truck to the storage unit. I have not had one single thing go right which cannot be coincidence. I have called there no less than 15 times with the promise of elevating issues. Everything from the original movers arriving too early and the truck wasn't available on time so we burned two hours but they promptly left after the four hour time.. The storage unit when we finally arrived in Charleston was exactly what they said my four bedroom house needed, but they had rented it the day before, so they moved me to a different property in Wamba Creek. My experience at that particular storage unit in Wambach Creek has been nothing. Short of ridiculous. From the front desk to Elijah, the Director of the actual facility, nobody communicates. I have been overcharged for insurance which I have addressed and it has not been fixed. They locked me out of my storage unit because they thought that I had Live animals being kept in there, which was not the case. They just followed me in and out as I was moving items. They are not conveniently open at all, for a business, where people need access, they are open from nine to 3 o'clock on weekdays. I had to take days off of work to accommodate their schedules because they had errors in their access card coding. At the end of the day, one month later, my 26 foot U-Haul truck is still sitting on their property which I do not have access to because they jammed the back even though I had a log on it and that is illegal. I was supposed to return it a month ago but I can't because they could not provide me with adequate storage. Space And then when they did they locked out my access card. The storage space was supposed to be free for the first month but I've been charged numerous times and gotten bills to pay for the next month. U-Haul is the worst logistics company I have ever dealt with and I sit here today as a brand new person in Charleston that has zero access to her clothing her furniture her medication everything I own is in that U-Haul truck or in that storage unit. Do you think anybody ever calls me back? The answer would be no I asked for this to be elevated every single time and not once has anyone called me. Do not use U-Haul for anything, you might find a nice person here or there, but at the end of the day, my move to South Carolina has been an absolute disaster and cost me $10,000 and I still had to pay them which I paid upfront so they got their money and now have all of my items from my home my clothingmedication that was absolutely dire that I take every day, but no one cares over there. Absolute worst customer experience ever and I am still battling them.

I can't even numbered them so I drove there to cancel it in person. Their hours are stated to be 9 to 6 and no one was there on a Monday. The gate was up both Sunday and Monday l. My mission was to clear out a storage unit & pick up a Uhaul at this location. I went in from NY so i decided to fly in & Uber to the facility. Two negative things happened; my Uhaul reservation wasn't ready and I had the wrong combination code. At this time it was around 1pm and they closed at 5pm so i was running short on time. It was a very busy day for the staff from what i could see so it was hard for them to help me right away. Ultimately we all figured things out as a team and they were able to get me into another Uhaul rental for the same price. A bigger one! They then helped me cut the lock to the unit and had all the equipment available for me to load everything into the truck w no major issues. The manager even took me around the facility on his brand new golf cart which i thought was pretty cool! After i finished up i went to say bye to the team for all their help dealing w. the scenario I was in. They gave me a few water bottles for my long drive to FL and ultimately were happy to see me succeed. I would recommend this facility mainly for the great service & patience they provided me with.
