We just completed the first of a two part move with Plantation Moving and Storage and are delighted with the results. Jessica is a thorough going professional, and her team is not only well trained, but smart and efficient. The guys arrived at 9:00 AM. We knew exactly what to expect since Jessica had visited our home on two previous occasions to assess the contents and make suggestions on how to divide up the load. John organized the truck like an artist, utilizing every inch of space for maximum efficiency. Sterling and Nate carried light and heavy furniture, boxes and etc. out of the house and onto the truck, and nobody missed a beat. They wrapped what had to be wrapped, and strapped what had to be strapped, and everything traveled from Summerville, S.C. to Summerfield, Florida in perfect condition. Jared and Nate unloaded the truck two days later, placed the furniture and boxes in the agreed upon spaces, helped me unload my car, and left around noon. As everyone knows, moving is always a daunting task, maybe even paralyzing. I have moved 7 times in the past 12 years. I also am someone who is not a minimalist. I have a plentiful amount of furniture (various sizes, shapes, materials and weights), antiques, and a hefty amount of very delicate bone china and crystal. Plantation Moving Company went above and beyond!!!! But, it wasn't with moving. I was in distress and had pulled in to a gas station. I got out of my vehicle and at that moment their trucks pulled up, one opposite my vehicle. Two of the movers came straight to me seeing my problem. One ran inside to get me something, the other (Randy) got something out of his truck for me. They were both very concerned and kept asking if I was ok. Randy stayed with me and even pumped my gas. He had a very calm, sweet spirit about him. He was such a blessing in a stressful time. I was able to get back to where I needed thanks to these guys. I had noted the sign on their trucks and called the company to thank them and tell them about such wonderful employees only to be met with Jessica, the owner, and another wonderful chat and she, too, asking if I was ok. Now, I'm not moving or anything but I will say if I ever did, just based on my interactions with these people, I would definitely not use anyone else. Genuine, caring people. We hired Jessica and her crew to move us in-town from Hanahan to Summerville. We have 4 kids and a 5 bedroom house with quite a bit of stuff. We had a particular budget in mind, and she was very helpful in telling us how we could save money by preparing things before the day of the move like disassembling beds, furniture, etc -however if we wanted them to handle that, it was fine as well. I really liked this flexibility. the day of the move - Mike was the man in charge and he had 5 other guys and 2 trucks. They got our entire move done in a little over 6 hours ... under budget, and handled a few extra items like our 600lb upright piano. I was grateful for the job they did, and the guys worked really hard all day. I tipped them $40/ea because I felt they did really earn it, even though that was not necessarily expected and was something I opted to do. I would definitely recommend them! read more

I just worked with this crew to coordinate a move remotely. Jessica and her team were incredible working with my timeline and my landlord's requirements. I have moved over 10 times in the last 15 years (nationwide) using full and a la carte service movers, so I can say with confidence that these guys are much better at project managing a move than most movers. Terrible movers. Damaged much of my furniture. Furniture arrive a day late. Refused to return phone calls or provide insurance information. I will probably have to replace an entire room of furniture because the damage is unable to be repaired. I am going to have to go to court to recover the cost of the damage.
