Toys,stuffed animals,dolls,etc. This book store is so big and spacious so even when there are alot of people there you won't feel crowded. The staff are friendly and very helpful. If you don't find the book that you are looking for they will order for you and it comes to the store pretty quickly!

Our drinks were delicious and the ambiance of the room was very quiet and comfortable, no loud talking and no music. The price is a little steep but the wide selection of drinks makes up for it and it's nothing to complain about when you're treating yourself. There was only one worker making the drinks and she may have needed some help since there were a few people in line but overall she did great and made everything as ordered.

When you have credit from bringing books in, you are able to use half the credit and pay for the other half in cash. For example, if your book if $5, you will be able to use $2.50 in credit and you'd pay for the rest with cash. Makes sense, you have to make money somehow! I have been frequenting the Lansing area for about 3 years now, and only recently found the…read morebookstore. while i have found myself multiple times a week now for "used book appointments" and just to browse in general i cannot get over how infrequent the store is. employees never seem pleased to help, in fact they are talking about nonsense behind the counter more often than not and then seem bothered when you need to checkout. The used book venture is another topic. Online they have a number of parameters for the used books you bring in. some being "no library marking" and "no creased spines", they do not accept textbooks, bibles or magazines. I have personally seen all of those things on their shelves from the bible and religious text, to library markings. so it does bother me when I come in with books in good condition and am turned away, BUT then i go and those same books are on their shelves to be sold. make it make sense.

I made calls to multiple Record stores within the last 2 months prepping, planning on where I wanted to go. Schuler's seemed like the hidden gem no one goes to. I was told, along with several other people that they HONOR THE LINE. I showed up at 4am. I was second in line, made friends with the first and third in line who were also told they honor the line. at 8:45ish a man came out and took note of how many people wanted Taylor Swift only. I was hopeful I was getting my entire ISO and my oldest would get what they want to because again, 2nd in line. Doors open at 9am and the man who came out earlier announces free for all. At that point it became a safety issue, people running, pushing, hollering. I got everything I was after however they only had 1 copy of what Toby wanted and they sold out because of course. I called the grand rapids location, the GM was super nice, offered to send us the vinyl free if they had it in stock but sadly they had only gotten 1 as well and it sold out. I am so sad for my oldest because this was supposed to be a fun experience and because of one careless man, RSD has been forever tainted for us because I really don't want to risk sitting out from 4am-9am in the rain ever again just to be trampled on.

A great place to bring your children to find an eclectic mix of children's books that you may not find in your traditional bookstores. Not exactly a place to go if you're looking to buy a specific title. We found the prices to be low to fair, so there are a lot of deals to be possibly found. Overall a positive experience and amiable staff. Worth a visit.
