The rooftop has stunning views and is beautifully designed with outdoor seating of both Main Street in Pittston, overlooking the murals and the river. The rooftop is also retractable. We usually walk in early evening to head to the bar although reservations are recommended. The drinks are honestly the best drinks I've had anywhere! I've had a pomegranate martini and my favorite this year, guava martini! The drinks are strong and perfectly balanced and flavorful! I haven't had the food but I would highly recommend if you're looking to be transcended from the typical offerings of the area to a more sophisticated venue with great view! The weekly events and brunch I see shared to social media also sounds like they'd be fun!

Our waitress came to take our drink order and we got the peach sangria for 2 which uniquely came in a French press. We ordered calamari and oysters as an appetizer. Then the hot sausage cavatelli and sea bass which were both phenomenal. They also give you a restaurant passport to visit all of their restaurants for a $100 gift card along with $2 off a drink at the speakeasy. Only reason I didn't give it a 4 was that service was extremely slow. Our waitress seemed to have disappeared and by the end of the night someone completely new was just there assisting.

Seemed stale. For 42 dollars I had 1 shrimp stuffed with crab meat. No lumping crab meat. Very mushy. A small bundle of vegetable with 2 carrots and 2 slices of squash. There was a crab cake that was mushy. The 4 ounce lamb chop was cooked nicely. Very pricey for mediocre quality. Also, there was a plastic like leaf on the plate that was inedible. Not many diners on a Saturday night. I have used to love it here. Prior to the pandemic it was awesome. I have tried 3 times since and it never improved to the prior standards. I will not be back. Too many great restaurants in the area to waste my time and money here.

One of my friends who is in the restaurant industry told me she heard poor reviews, so, guess what, we went to try without those friends!! We went with a group and happened to go for their valentine day special. Most got their special of "surf and turf", which was a very small piece of fillet and 4 shrimp. First off, I will say, the food itself was very good. No one was a fan of how this dish was presented, all on one large dish to be split by the couple. Once split, it cooled off quickly and looked more like an appetizer or tapas (small plate). My biggest recommendation would be quantity. For example, the salads were very, very skimpy. The "sides" with the surf and turf special were also, very skimpy. Now, we have dined all over the globe in very high end restaurants and understand quantity does not equate to quality, BUT, in this instance, it seems Isabellas is trying to make or remake their name in the local restaurant scene. They are doing so much right, just increase the quantity of a few of the items. For example, the special surf and turf dinner for two, had there been an ever so increase in the potato au gratin side and the spinach (which, I would also say, needed a bit of help, not bad, but one more like Ruth Chris's renowned creamed spinach) would have been better. So, I don't think making those servings just a wee bit larger would increase the cost of goods significantly, but would certainly go a long way in making the average diner feel more satisfied.

Welcome to today's video and the start of Memorial Day Weekend. In past videos, you've seen how…read moreamazing the American Grill's burgers, cheesesteaks, and chili dogs are, but this is my first time trying their smoked meats. I went for the two-meat combo with smoked ribs and wings--the wings came with sweet chili sauce, and I used their signature BBQ sauce on the ribs. You also get two sides, so I chose mac and cheese and slaw. The service was excellent as always, and the hospitality felt just like being at a southern-style restaurant. The slaw was on the drier side but very tasty, and the mac and cheese was unlike anything local--unique and different in the best way. The wings were smoked to perfection, crispy with great flavor, and I tried their "yellow cap" sauce since it's recommended for chicken. The ribs were meaty, tender, and just as good as the wings. For a taste that reminds me of the South, the American Grill is the place to be. Big thanks to the owners and staff for consistently providing great food and service. They'll be open on Memorial Day Monday with a limited menu and hosting a car show--definitely worth checking out, and you might just see me there. Until next time, be blessed and stay safe.
