I walked up to the front door and stepped inside. I immediately noticed the fire crackling in the fireplace. I told the staff member I'd be right back after getting my wife. At the time, the only person inside was the McMenamins employee. The space itself is small and cozy, with two booths, about four tables, and seating for around five at the bar. There's also outdoor seating with a fireplace, though it wasn't lit during our visit. When my wife came in, she was absolutely delighted. She walked straight over and stood in front of the fire, soaking it in. We took seats at the bar near the fireplace and asked about their offerings. The bartender provided menus, which feature a small but appealing selection of appetizers, pizzas, subs, and desserts, along with a modest drink list. We'd already eaten, but I ordered a pint of their Hammerhead. As we sat by the fire, we chatted with the bartender/server, who shared a bit about the place and the nearby Kalama Harbor Lodge. A few other groups came in while we were there, but after I finished my beer, we decided to head out.
