Of the two the chowder was the best. It was very thick, which I enjoy and tasted great. Oh and the 80's called and want their paprika back. The burger was good, it was decent sized and the onion rings were fried crispy and delicious. My friends had a sandwich and their special chicken sandwich. Both were happy with their choice. We would definitely go back if we are in the area and I would recommend it. While I initially didn't think I would feel comfortable in a place like this, I was quickly proven wrong. This has become our go to for burgers and sides, the French Dip is good too. It's not to fancy by any means but it is still comfy if a little loud some nights. The menu is a bit limited but what they do serve they do it right. Good portions and good tasting food, prices are pretty reasonable too. It's just a good place for a nice night out . Found the Pour House by mistake. Lived in this area for over 50 years. Wanted to try a Burger locally so gave it a try instead of driving into Portland or Beaverton. Since then, my wife & I have been very loyal customers. Their JR. burger with onion rings, or fry's, are the best we've tasted yet. Their cook always creates a fantastic burger. The customers aren't rowdy and the bar noise is only at a slight minimum. No matter who's on duty that shift, the burger remains the same. It is, for sure, a full meal without breaking the bank. This place was really good!! We stumbled in while passing through town. First impression was a bit unnerving, the front door doesn't have a window and when we opened the door, heads turned. It was like being in a movie. But we made it through and found a booth. We all had burgers, I had the vegetarian burger with no cheese. The patty was really good. I asked for no mayo and BBQ sauce instead. It was awesome because they put the BBQ sauce right on my burger instead of on the side. I got mine with tots and they were also really good, not too salty. The VALUE My wife and I stopped in here on the way back from work looking for something new. We both ordered burgers and were happy to be served some really great beers including a great hazy IPA. I don't know how else to put it. The fries are real fries, and not greasy. They are crispy and just amazing. The Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich is the best! For $7 you get a sandwich so big and so stuffed. its difficult to eat. and your choice of tater tots or fries. It's an amazing deal, and very difficult to eat the whole thing. GREAT BURGERS!!! St Helens has a hidden gem in this bar. We ordered the bacon cheese burger figuring we would go with a safe bet. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened our to go box. The burger itself was large and the bun perfectly toasted. The meat was hot and nice slices of bacon covered the hamburger patty which tasted like it was flame broiled, yum...next time I would request it medium as it was a little well done for my liking, but still very tasty! REAL cheddar cheese was melted exactly right and the lettuce and tomatoes were cold and fresh. You could tell the cook takes pride in his food as the burger (all 3 we ordered) looked like a picture for a menu or something. A huge pile of fries and tater tots accompanied the burger, they were hot, fresh and crisp. Our burgers compared to Red Robin burgers without the jacked up prices. With very few restaurants that are not Chinese in the area, this is a great choice for take out burgers (our son is only 16) or even sit down and eat as the bar was clean, well lit and friendly. read more

Found this place thanks to the reviews. Looks a bit divey but the food and people there were absolutely great. Went with my partner and we split a burger and bacon, taco avacado sandwhich. The 1/2 lb burger was cooked to perfection, done but not overdone and dry. The sandwhich was also delicious. Prices were excellent though they will be going up a bit soon. We talked to the cook who ended his shift after cooking our meal. The menu will be expanded a bit too. Beer selection on tap wasn't bad either though not super extensive.
