Super delicious and the meat falls off the bone. We also got some wings for their Thursday wing deal. $1.75 per wing. The garlic dill seasoning was a very pleasant surprise. Now as someone who is Asian and not German... it's a bit odd to see a lot of Asian people coming into this restaurant. But this place has been talked about and recommended by all of my Asian peers since I was a child. Which I think is quite impressive and speaks for the food itself. Because if you know a lot of older Asian parents, they can be quite picky when it comes to non-Asian food.

The duck came with red cabbage and potato patties. The schnitzel came with home fries and steamed vegetables ( although you could have spatzle if you liked). Please note that even though their online menu shows a variety of salads for those who want lighter fare - the menu handed to us did not show those options. My friend was however able to order a Caesar salad with a grilled chicken breast which she said was wonderful. Her hubby had the rouladen. All the meals were great. We were covering the Black Forest cake at the end but could not do it ( the portions being very generous) so we took some slices to go! Great choice as it was delicious. This restaurant understands exactly how to make an authentic schnitzel, it was perfect. In the picture the plate doesn't look like anything out of the ordinary but the flavours and textures were delectable. The sauerkraut was house made and was better than many sauerkrauts I've had in Europe. The gravy was outstanding and the potatoes were satisfactory. I think they deserve their title "best schnitzel in town" I agree that it is true.

The corn bread was simply beyond dry & close to uneatable. I'd of asked for some butter but that would have been an up-charge, I'm sure. I decided to go with the German Cider soup with mulled wine and the Delicious Butter Fried Chicken with Milk Gravy the flavour of the crispy chicken batter has me wanting to go back for more lol this meal was a lovely end to my Christmas shopping at St Jacobs and I definitely would recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a special meal with big flavour
