I hate that I'm writing this review, but after what happened today I have no choice. Booked a 5:15pm child's cut appointment in advance with our favorite barber, Josh (he's still our favorite and this in no-way reflects on him). Arrived early and were eventually told that Josh injured his hand and wasn't there, but they'd still honor the appointment. An HOUR later they started our 9-year old's cut. We were asked if we wanted his hair lined-up. We said no. Next thing we realize, there's a straight razor being taken to the side of our son's hair. When we've told Josh not to line it up, he skips the razor altogether. The haircut looked nothing like the standard cut we've always gotten at Godspeed. To top it off, this barber charges more than Josh so that was the final blow. $40 for a kids cut, an hour after the appointment and not listening/understanding what we wanted done. I tried not to be a B**** and run straight to Yelp, so I called the shop. The first person I spoke with was so apologetic and kind. I wasn't trying to get anything out of complaining, just wanted to let someone there know about our experience. Then, the phone was given to the guy who cut our son's hair. He was condescending, rude, kept trying to talk over me and said he didn't line anything up and basically told me I was the one confused about what I saw. I told him that his attitude really made me want to leave a review, and he told me to go ahead and do what I needed to do. So here's your review, sir. I recently took my boyfriend here for a cut. Entering the shop, he had a Snape/Edna Mode hairstyle going on LMAO. We were looking to get his hair cut short for easier maintenance. He was pretty worried coming in just because a lot of barbershops (that we've encountered) don't really know how to handle long hair and he was afraid of getting a messed up cut. It was unnecessary worries though because this place is pretty trustworthy! Everyone here seems very close to each other, kind of like a brotherhood.
