Arrived early and were eventually told that Josh injured his hand and wasn't there, but they'd still honor the appointment. An HOUR later they started our 9-year old's cut. We were asked if we wanted his hair lined-up. We said no. Next thing we realize, there's a straight razor being taken to the side of our son's hair. When we've told Josh not to line it up, he skips the razor altogether. The haircut looked nothing like the standard cut we've always gotten at Godspeed. To top it off, this barber charges more than Josh so that was the final blow. $40 for a kids cut, an hour after the appointment and not listening/understanding what we wanted done. I tried not to be a B**** and run straight to Yelp, so I called the shop. The first person I spoke with was so apologetic and kind. I wasn't trying to get anything out of complaining, just wanted to let someone there know about our experience. Then, the phone was given to the guy who cut our son's hair. He was condescending, rude, kept trying to talk over me and said he didn't line anything up and basically told me I was the one confused about what I saw. I told him that his attitude really made me want to leave a review, and he told me to go ahead and do what I needed to do. So here's your review, sir. If you had just been a little understanding I would have been over it. This place was our go-to and we will not be coming back. Because of this guy, Josh lost a client.

Then about 3 or 4 minutes later the guy cutting hair finished and called another guy to his station that had just come in. As I was looking at him he says, he had a reservation. At this point I stood up and left. I have had a hair cut twice here prior to this time with no issues. I am more mad at the lack of communication by the employees not letting me know there is going to be a wait because of people with reservations. It is hard to find on first visit but it's definitely the place to get a haircut. Manuel did a great job that even my wife noticed my haircut! lol (that never happens). So I decided to come back for a second visit, got a haircut and I went with a hot towel shave. The hot towel shave is highly recommended and it therapeutic. I definitely recommend this place!!!
