AWESOME service!! So great! Today, I needed biz cards picked up before 5 and dropped off before 6. Lindsey answered the phone and took care of me, I even heard her catch a guy and drop addresses and hear him race out. Talk about reassurance. On my train ride back to the city (whole reason I needed courier service), I called my apartments concierge desk to make sure it made it. I asked them to check and make sure it made it to the mail room (he was being a d*ck and didn't wanna check). He checked, hung up on me, and then I called back and he said he didn't find it. I called the couriers back and she recognized my voice o_O amazing ha! She said, "Business cards right"? Wow ha! And then she read me the courier notes: "dropped off in Office, not concierge desk, Alan took it and put the cards in the mail room". The courier took the time to make notes about the difference in which office it ended up in, who took it, and watched where the guy put it! Shame on my office agent! Godspeed Courier is like HBO-- simply the best. From the pleasant, positive, and professional phone operators to the couriers themselves, this is a first-class operation. I've hired them several times to transport important legal documents from attorney offices in San Francisco to my own office on the Peninsula. Sure, I could use FedEx or UPS, but the price for a couple of boxes is only marginally higher with this courier service, and I get the bonus of getting the documents the same day. Also, these are documents that cannot be replaced if they get lost or delayed. I find Godspeed's zone-based rates (and up-front pricing) very competitive and reasonable, and it saves me serious time and effort to have them handle it instead of trying to do so myself. I hang up the phone, and then hear the doorbell ring and it's them picking up whatever package/folder I need sent out. They're reliable: My deliveries have always arrived in good condition on time. Appalled that they even consider themselves a business. These other reviews must be by people they know because this service is completely awful. Our workplace reserved a courier on Monday for a Thursday pick-up and confirmed the order on Wednesday. Despite this, they were unable to do their job in any sense. One hour after the scheduled time, they hadn't even arrived at the pick-up location which was only 2.3 miles away. When calling for a status update, we were lied to twice about the courier being minutes away from delivery and only found out the truth because we called the pick-up location. We then complained to the operator and owner, both of which were not very apologetic but actually extremely rude. If you want your courier service to be entirely unreliable, then definitely pick these guys. read more

The thing I dig about them, versus other messenger services I use at work, is that if you've called a few times they know who you are. With other services I have to say my name and account number Every Single Time, which only adds to the soul crushing banality of my nine to five existence. And upon further inspection we found the company to be a local, owner-operated business that charges reasonable rates, and even has a race team. A courier service that has a race team? Called back and worked with Mallory (AMAZING), I had a very unusual request, needed several boxes (120) to be picked up and brought over to our office. We don't have a loading dock or immediate loading zone in front of our office on Market and they did a fantastic job, fast, professional and incredibly helpful! Not to mention, VERY affordable! Having a great messenger service is like knowing the bouncer at the hottest club. If you've decided to use a courier, chances are, it's urgent. But many of then are shady, late, slow, and hate their customers. I found Godspeed after Googling "courier" and now I will never have to google that word again.,,because these guys are the SHIZ! I called, and Curtis was cool, friendly and professional. He knew exactly where my stuff needed to be picked up from, he took my card and established an account. No big sign up/ new account process. Then he called to let me know the Copymat had turned their messenger away and asked for an extra half hour. He wasn't mad, didn't charge me more, just gave me the heads up it would now be really tight (but he'd still get my stuff delivered on time). And at 2:03 pm, I get a call from him again, letting me know the pkg was delivered at 2:01, who accepted it, and acknowledging she knew the person it needed to be routed to. All in all, a FAB experience. At a reasonable price! If you are in business in the Bay Area, get Godspeed in your Rolodex. A company that knows what it does and does it well. read more

I've used Godspeed Courier for years. I am solo entrepreneur and sometimes (well often actually) I call and ask if they can meet me at my car at various parts of the City when I am rushing to the East Bay or Marin and have no staff at my office where I can leave a package. "Curtis I am pulled over at Polk and California about to head to the freeway, can you send someone?" They have always accomodated me beautifully, charged very fairly and done the job perfectly. The messengers are very friendly, courteous and handsome too! In fact once when I had a package delivered to a law firm, the receptionist called and said "who was the handsome bike messenger who dashed in and out, I want to switch companies" and I laughed and told her it was Goodspeed....hopefully they got the account. read more
