The Service, Food, and Ambiance was amazing! I love going to Korean bbq spots and this one was nice. You can bring the fume hood closer to the grill which is helpful with the smoke, just as a good to know thing!:) They are super sweet here and want you to have an awesome experience, ask questions!

First time at this location. Frankly I didn't like how the meat was too shredded to cook. It would fall through the openings of the heating grill. The portions fro the sides were like half a cup. Not enough for two people. He had ordered the GoGO platter for two, on menu price was 29.99. Comes with rice, broccoli, one dipping sauce for each. Our waiter was nice and explained us the menu and options. Ambiences did not feel inviting. It was lacking decoration and they have an empty bar. So no alcohol drinks available not even Korean soda. Regular fountain drinks and tea on the beverage option. I had heard it was good but I give it two . I had to order more sides cuz the platter was actually not enough for two. It appeared more like a thick hotel rib had to cit it so it can fit on my plate. You also get these small oval plates to put your food after you are done cooking. Food does not fit on the plate. Not trying to be negative but I frankly did not like anything. The broccoli was cold and not enough for two. That is why we ordered more items. For me it was not worth paying 70.00. My friend and I split the bill. But don't take my word for it. Go ahead and try it.

IF YOU ARE A FOODIE GO NOW! If you only like chicken strips stop reading move on. Bulgogi was out of this world SUPER FRESH QUALITY MEATS pork, beef and chicken! GOGO eat here for the GOGO sauce it is very unique flavoring that will blow your socks off! Staff was amazing for the "soft opening" our server acted as if he had been there 5 years. Been a while for me so I need a refresher and it was my wife's first time. Guy taught us very quickly how to use the grill and what to look for! My 4 year old was having a blast with this experience! So much food! So be careful when ordering because they are going to fill you up fast! I'm sorry I didn't snap pics of the cooked food but I'm sure you can guess what I was busy doing instead ! Can't wait to go back! Bring on the protein!

This was an excellent experience! Our waiter, Charley was outstanding, very knowledgeable and accommodating! We enjoyed our visit here so much, we will return before we leave the area. The food was delicious. We had the premium platter and was plenty for 2! The cheese corn was my favorite side to the platter. We ended our course with the cheesecake egg roll. All of the staff were so nice and made the experience 10x more fun. Phenomenal.

Came here for happy hour (daily 2-5pm). Delicious food and good deal (half off bears and soju). Clean establishment and friendly staff, will visit again!

Food is amazing . The wait staff is attentive and add to the experience. The table is private so you are not hearing all the conversations around you adding to the experience. Great for a birthday gathering.

The premium platter for 2 was worth it

The Food: WOW, absolutely amazing Texas style BBQ. I had the 2 meat plate, brisket and sausage with 2 sides, fries and beans. The portion size was Texas sized and this meal ended up being lunch and dinner. The brisket was Smokey and moist, the sausage had an excellent flavor with a good crisp on the skin. Fries are Fries, kinda hard to mess that up, and the beans were. The staff were friendly and smiling the entire time. They answered all of my questions and actually engaged us while we were there. I will definitely return here next time I am in town.

I was greeted as soon as I walked in the guy behind the counter helped me with my choices. I was looking for either 2 or 4 piece chicken tender meals since there are two of us for dinner. As far as FRIED chicken their only two options (excluding BBQ) are 3 or 5 piece tenders or a bundle of wings w/tots or fries. I opted for the 5 with tots so we both could have at least 2 tenders each. As I waited I noticed the restaurant was pretty clean, the drive thru was busy and looks like they were also getting a catering order ready for delivery. My wait wasn't that long perhaps 5-7 minutes as the chicken is cooked fresh when ordered. None of that precooked crap under a heat lamp here. We really liked our chicken tender dinner w/tots and the assorted dipping sauces on the side. Nice portion size enough for 2 people for sure. No pics to post as I forgot my camera but will definitely post pics on our next BBQ mission. They do have a nice BBQ menu and I'm not sure why their online menu doesn't show chicken tender meals???

Joe, Nancy's son, came down for a couple of days, and we decided to go out to eat, but didn't know…read morewhere. Then I remembered a BBQ place just up the street that has great reviews. So that's where we are headed. Up a few blocks, we spotted the BBQ place. It's called "The PIT BBQ"; not many cars here, but it is an early dinner for us. Walked in, and it looks great inside. They have a wall painted stating that 'we were once a trailer, and now we are here', or something like that. Sounds good to me. This is the type of place where you order your food after viewing the Menu Board overhead, and the guy prepares your food right in front of you. Then you pick out your drink and pay for your tray of BBQ Goodness. Joe ordered a 1/4 pound of Fatty Brisket, 1/4 pound of chopped Brisket, 1/4 pound of Jalapeño Sausage, Potato Salad, and Coleslaw. Joe also loaded up his tray with extra Jalapeños, White Onions slivers, and BBQ Sauce. When I try a new BBQ place, I like to sample the meats. I ordered a 1/4 pound of Fatty Brisket, 1/4 pound of regular Sausage, and a Quarter-Chicken. Also, the Potato Salad. I loaded up my tray with Pickles and White Onion slivers, along with the BBQ Sauce. My Wife went with their Chopped Brisket Sandwich and a Diet Coke. Joe went with a Shiner Bock 'Rocket' Draft Beer (Rocket identifies the size of the glass). I am having a Coors Light Draft. Orders are in, and the trays are full of lots of meats. Located a table and poured their BBQ Sauce on the meats on my tray. Joe and I also had a slice of bread. My first bite was the Fatty Brisket, and it was Very Moist, Tasty, and Brisketlicious, with the perfect amount of Fatty on the 1/4 pound slice I have. The BBQ Sauce is also a hit, and one of the Best tasting one in San Angelo. We all LOVE it. Joe also said that the Fatty Brisket is very tasty. My Wife Loved her Chopped Brisket Sandwich, and also said it was the Best one she has had in San Angelo, and that BBQ Sauce goes perfectly with the sandwich. My regular Sausage is Very Tasty with lots of flavor in every bite. The outer casing is a might bit thick for me, but also goes well with the Sausage, lots of flavor throughout. Joe also thought his Chopped Brisket was Very Delicious with lots of flavor, and he Loved the Jalapeno Sausage. It has the right amount of Jalapeno without setting your mouth on fire. Now for that Quarter-Chicken. Most BBQ places, at least for me, dry out their Chicken when BBQing, but at "The PIT BBQ", it comes our Juicy, Tender and Very Tasty. Especially when you add the BBQ Sauce. This is a Big Plus for me, and "The PIT BBQ" is now my favorite BBQ place in town, and we have been to a good number of them. My Wife and Joe feel the same way. This is Way Better than the others. Their Potato Salad is also very flavorful, made with Potatoes that are actually prepared the way they should be. Joe said the coleslaw was very good. This is also a plus for me because some places have a mushy Potato Salad and flat Coleslaw. Let's just say The PIT BBQ has just about everything you need when going out for BBQ, especially if you're looking for the Best BBQ in San Angelo. The seating area inside is very large with tall tables and some great decor all around. Outside, in back, they have an all-covered Patio area with fans blowing and plenty of lights, along with their Trailer they began serving their BBQ. For those cooler months, they also have plenty of heaters throughout. When enjoying your BBQ on the patio, you are on some of the thickest outdoor artificial grass, synthetic grass, artificial turf, or synthetic turf- whatever you want to call it- it's there to give our feet some comfort. Check them out on Facebook, The Pit BBQ San Angelo - also online - On the way home, we were all stuffed because we ate it all, with no leftovers for another day. This means we will be back to try some more of their BBQLiciousness - and enjoying more Cold Draft Beer.

As far as my 2 choice meat dish with 2 sides, it wasn't bad but coming from Kansas City, MO, I've had the BEST BBQ. I really don't like seeing bottles of BBQ sauce on my table to squirt on smoked meat. Slather on the BBQ sauce while you are smoking in people and slather it on several times. This is the 5th BBQ restaurant we've been to since moving here in Jan 2026 and not one place had burnt ends. Anyway, the restaurant was somewhat clean a little dingy looking inside but non the less clean. I'm not fond of seeing partial loaves of Walmart brand of white bread on each of the tables. Whose filthy hands has been inside that loaf of bread? NOPE, not happening with me, YUCK. I'm still giving 4 stars.

Now, I'm born and raised mostly in Kansas City, MO, home of the world famous American Royal and American Royal BBQ so I know BBQ! My second taste is authentic Mexican food having lived in Southern California. OK back to BBQ, we decided on Bodacious simply because we have driven past it numerous times and it's close to historic downtown. The restaurant is very clean with plenty of seating inside and outside. We were welcomed in and the friendly team member took our order. The menu has several items to pick from and I was really hoping for burnt ends and did not see them on the menu. I haven't had burnt ends since leaving Kansas City back in 2013. Our wait wasn't very long until he called my name. Due to low supply of ribs my husband was only able to get a 1/2 order with his coleslaw which was ok because they discounted the price by 1/2 so not bad. I opted for the 2 meat dinner with 2 sides. I would have like a little more of the meat as I mostly got sausage. We both loved our meals, tender flavorful meat, great baked beans and the coleslaw and Mac-n-cheese were good as well. The prices were comparable to other restaurants in the area plus they have a desert choice too. While we were sitting and devouring our dinner, we noticed a lot of carry out orders so that was nice to see their carry out business was busy. We try to avoid chain restaurants and stick to mom & pop businesses and we prefer to do business downtown or as close to it as possible to support our local businesses. Those to the N, W, S, E and rural areas of town can support those outer-lying businesses. We will be returning customers and I do recommend you give these folks a try the next time you have the urge for BBQ.
