I'm amazed by the exceptional service I received at Going Postal in Platte City, MO. They went above and beyond to ensure I paid only for what I truly needed. They didn't just hand me a box and send me on my way-- they packed my items themselves with care, asked if I have anything fragile to make sure they take extra care while also trying to keep everything fit perfectly. Because they chose the precise box size, I avoided purchasing an unnecessary larger box and saved me money on mailing costs; and they're surprisingly even cheaper than USPS! I would not recommend Goin' Postal on Fredrick Ave in St. Joseph, MO!!! I took a 40 lb package in to ship back to AZ. The did not open the door for me and then told me they don't ship FedEx Ground. As an authorized ship center they are required to ship FedEx Ground. They said they only do Express shipping. This is terrible that they are forcing customers to pay more for shipping packages! Anyone can have a FedEx shipping account and get discounts for free!!! Go to https://www.fedex.com/en-us/create-account.html. Then you can drop off smaller packages at any drop box or other FedEx shipping locations...just check on fedex.com to find them or take it to the FedEx Station at 4811 Easton Rd, St Joseph, MO 64503. read more

The owners here are amazing people. We feel like this place is a very small-town, everybody's-family-here kind of place. We go out of our way to drop off packages here. They do charge more for postage if it's not a prepaid label, but that is because of USPS charging them more I presume. They have toys for kids to play with while you wait, and free books on a shelf. Their dog Cooper is so friendly and my daughter loves to say hi to him when we're there. We really enjoy going here! read more

This is the best shipping and postal service I've found. The owners go out of their way to help customers, very friendly, and very honest. Theyre super nice to myy son when he comes in with me, and even have toys to keep kids occupied. They're very patriotic and supportive of soldiers. They're taking personal care and care package donations right now to send overseas. This is a local business that is so friendly. Even when we do not have a need for their services our kids always tell us when we drive by " Let's so see the post office dog" the couple that owns the business brings their dog with them and the kids just love that the dog will be so excited to see them. It really makes the trip fun! Besides the great dog... always great service and great postal needs. Nothing is better than being able to pay for services provided by a local merchant. read more
