So let me break down my review to rationalize our whole experience: Service - 5 stars. Ken is very attentive and tries his best to provide us with everything we need, along with his recommendations of what he thinks we might like. He's extremely friendly and a pleasure to chat with! Drinks quality and price - 5 stars. The drinks are delicious and relatively cheap compared to many other restaurants. My wife loved their hot jasmine tea and would definitely come back for the drink again! Food quality and taste - 5 stars. The food are all incredibly tasty and brings us back to Hong Kong, illustrating a high level of authenticity! It's very nostalgic for us and we definitely enjoyed the flavor of the dumplings, wonton, and noodle! Food quantity and price - 1.5 stars. This is where I think they can definitely and easily improve upon. As you can see from our pictures, a bowl of their pork is about a bit bigger than the size of a metro card. It's incredibly flavorful but for 13 bucks, it definitely feels very lacking. The dumpling noodle soup was similarly undersized. We understand that there's definitely not a lot, if any, dumpling shops around in Staten Island, but for 13 dollars to come with only 5 dumplings and a small portion of veggies, it definitely feels insufficient unfortunately. If they increased the portion size, this would have been a perfect meal for the price they cost. Their food selection is definitely on the higher end in terms of quality and price, but it really does unfortunately feel overpriced (I.e., 2 dollars for each soup dumpling is pricey). Overall, it's a nice restaurant that looks aesthetically pleasing and has amazing service. Their drinks are great but their food portions are unexpectedly small for its price. Hope they continue to improve and do better! Thank you for reading and good luck! (:

Fantastic service and great tasting food. Love: - Pan fried buns - Beef noodle soup Like: - Lava buns - Eel rice You'll notice the amazing Dragonball theme in here and it's a great spot for some solid food and fun photos. Only downside: no bathroom inside.

Excellent concept! I loved Dragon Ball Z as a kid. I remember watching everyday after school. And playing with the action figures. This place made me really nostalgic for my childhood. It's really hard to find good Dim Sum on the island. But Goku Kitchen is doing a great job! The Xiao Long Bao and Pan Fried Pork Buns here are excellent. Takoyaki Balls and Rice Bowls were also very good! We will be back!

AMAZING AMAZING!!! The food here is amazing! And service is unbelievable. Not to mention all the Goku figured and comic on the wall. Picture worthy spot. I cant even decide what my favorite food was because everything was spectacular. DEFINITELY TRY THE GOKU milk tea!!! Best milk tea on the island. With just the right amount of sweetness and tea flavor! Cant wait to come back and try more of the food!!

This new spot is a hidden gem. Cozy little casual spot with authentic Hong Kong style food. Wonton noddle soup was fresh and delicious! If your craving for soup dumpling this is the only place on SI that does it right! Friendly and prompt service from Ken. Can't wait to go back!

Not my first time here but extremely disappointed this time and I even brought a friend. The soup dumplings was good. The scallion noodles was good but the portion was tiny for 10.95. Plain noodles with oil. The house special wanton was a sad joke. It's tasteless TINY wontons the size of a quarter! Does not look anything like the picture at all. In a small rice bowl! When we asked the staff, he said.. I don't know and shrugged.. the young boy was cordial but he had no clue what he was doing, even when asked about the lunch specials.. overall I felt cheated that it was $9 for these pathetic wontons. Not sure if I will come back.

Love this place! The eel over rice was delicious. The ice matcha latte was lovely & the pork & chive dumplings were perfect. So happy that there is finally a place on Staten Island offering soup dumplings. I want to eat everything on the menu. Service was friendly & fast. I will definitely be back and I will be bringing my friends and family too. Do

Nice staff, very helpful in ordering suggestions. Cute concept. Everything was very fresh. I felt like everything was made fresh when we ordered it. Nothing was premade. As far as the atmosphere, anyone into anime will love it here. I wish I could read the cartoon art on the walls.

Stopped in here for some dim sum for a midday snack and it was so delicious! The decor is super fun, service was friendly, and the menu was . Highly recommend the beef scallion pancakes and the pork buns! The taro milk tea was one of the best I've had. We'll be back for a full on meal next time we're in Staten to visit my family!

This place definitely knows how to do business. A restaurant that specializes in authentic dumplings and soup dumplings on the island. I called in to place an order and the worker that took my order was super kind. Once I arrived I was given two free drinks and a personalized note with a drawing was placed in the bag. The decor inside made this place even more unique. The food itself was averaged. It's not the best place I've had dumplings but it's doable for Staten Island.

Just went last night and food was incredible. The decor was perfect for the theme, and the walls had actual manga panels from the Dragon Ball Z manga. If you love anime, good food, and some spice thrown in, go to Goku Kitchen, it's sure to raise up your power level!

    Is there a seating?

Yes. There is limited seating. I recall two tabletops with four chairs each. Plus a window counter with 3-4 chairs. This place is definitely designed for takeout but the food is much better hot from the kitchen!

Located within the historic Chelsea Market building--a former Nabisco factory where Oreo cookies were first produced--the restaurant feels theatrical in the best possible way. The soaring ceilings, dramatic lighting, and energetic atmosphere create a sense of occasion from the moment you walk in. It feels less like simply going out to dinner and more like stepping into a beautifully staged production. I started with a Botanist Gin Martini with a twist, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The surprise star of the evening was the new Cucumber Tiger Salad. The balance of flavors was exceptional: bright acidity, a pleasant touch of heat, and just enough mint to make each bite feel fresh and exciting. Every so often the mint would come through and suddenly all the flavors would click together in a way that made me immediately want another bite. This is a dish I would happily order again. Next came the Edamame Dumplings. They were delicate and comforting, especially when enjoyed with the accompanying broth. The broth adds depth and richness that elevates the entire dish. My only suggestion would be the slightest touch more salt, perhaps even a finishing sprinkle of black volcanic salt for both flavor and presentation. I also found myself wishing there were a bit more of that delicious broth because it contributes so much to the overall experience. For my entrée, I ordered the Glazed Alaskan Black Cod, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fish was rich, buttery, and perfectly prepared. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the accompaniments were composed. The pickled cucumbers brought brightness, acidity, and crunch, while the black bean and eggplant relish delivered deep savory notes and unexpected complexity. I'm generally not an eggplant fan, but this relish was outstanding. The cucumbers and relish sit at opposite ends of the flavor spectrum, yet both somehow make the cod even better. Looking back, I think a glass of Sauvignon Blanc alongside the cod would have been the perfect pairing. I finished with the Miso Caramel Milk Bar, which was spectacular. Decadent, sweet, salty, and touched with just enough umami to keep every bite interesting. The chocolate crumble underneath added a wonderful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the creamy ice cream and luscious caramel sauce. Every component worked together perfectly, creating a dessert that was both indulgent and sophisticated. From start to finish, the meal felt polished, thoughtful, and memorable. Thank you!

The interior is absolutely chic and maximalist--I felt transported into a different world once I walked down the gigantic staircase into the main dining area. The lights were low, and the walls in the room we were seated in were covered with bookshelves lined by golden books. We ordered the dim sum tasting, the short rib, the lobster fried rice, and the brussels sprouts. The dim sum was a true standout for me--especially the egg roll, which was full of shrimp, meat, and veggies and paired with a delicious creamy sauce. The short rib was also amazing. The bed of mushrooms and noodles it was served on was flavorful and the meat was so tender it melted in your mouth. The drinks were good as well, specifically the lychee martini (I forget its name). Overall, I am glad to have had this dining experience, and recommend it.

We started with drinks and some lite breakfast fare all of which tasted good. I went with the crab cake eggs Benedict with wasabi hollandaise sauce which was full of flavor.
