I been move to the area for 7 years and I finally decided to get take out from here. Ordered the "lover boat for two" which came out to be $70. I had expectations. But it's just an average spot in my opinion. When I order thru the phone I was told it come with Kani salad, but it turn out to be garden salad. Maybe I heard wrong or communication error. I have to say the fish is fresh. But the number of piece and roll they offered for this set at the price of $70 is way overpriced. This would be $50 max in flushing or Bk. Spicy crab meat roll and avocado roll don't cost nothing. It's literally the cheapest roll. The dragon roll is alright. Not tight enough. This place can fool my fellow American friends in the area that don't travel out to bk or flushing for sushi much, but this cannot fool the Asian American population. All I can say is there are a lot more options other there . Updates review. I see that the owner does response to most of the review. And definitely the low rating one too. It shows he does care. I respect that. I would want the owner to know, I am a Chinese American. I speak English , Cantonese and "mandarin". I got my order and asked can I have 1 spicy Mayo. The lady quickly says $1 and I said sure, no problem. The lady seemed so unfriendly so I tried to make small talk to make her feel more at ease.. So I said oh I didn't know you had a parking lot in the back. She looks at me and just says yea. I was feeling very unwelcomed so I took my order and as I was leaving I asked for a menu and told her this is the first time I ordered here. At that point she softened up, just a bit, and said oh this is the first time you ordered? I said yes and she handed me a menu. Now the food.. simply, I've had way better. The Ganbino roll was decent. I liked it. The lobster tempura roll was so dry.. I didn't even eat it. The Kani salad just wasn't good. It had no flavor and a ton of cucumber in it. I didn't enjoy it at all. Most times I would give a restaurant a second chance.. but the bad food with the bad service just isn't worth. I've only ordered takeout from here. The rolls are good. My favorite is their sashimi dinner. Nice pieces of fresh assortment of fish. One thing to note is that the menu said rice was included but it wasn't given to me in my takeout. My first time ordering a lunch special take out from Mountain Fusion. I was extremely pleased how fresh the rolls were. They were the perfect size, not small like some other places because it's a lunch special. I ordered spicy tuna, eel avocado, and shrimp tempura and the choice of soup. I would have loved if it included a salad with the soup to add freshness to the meal. I was left missing something at the end. My negative comments are I was missing my spoon for my soup and the two packets of soy sauce were consumed before finishing my meal. I was left eating my last four to five bites dry. If there was a salad, I would have ended my meal feeling more satisfied. Compared to my other favorite sushi place who offers soup, salad and 2oz container of soy sauce. I would need to keep this in mind next time I order from Mountain Fusion. I'm giving a five stars for freshness and three and half stars for the missing accoutrements that would have enhanced my overall dining experience. read more

Love the Ramen here, the broth is outstanding. It's thick and loaded with flavor from the bone broth. I ordered the Miso Ramen and Tonakotsu Ramen, which were sort of similar except that I got 3 pieces of pork with the Miso and 2 pieces of pork belly with the Tonakotsu. I guess it's for variety's sake. I think I liked the pork belly better because they seem to char it well and it maintains its crunch even in the broth. Sushi is also solid, huge pieces, lots of options. I'd say go for the Ramen for sure, some of the best broth you can have. read more

I love this place so much. I always get the same thing, but it's always a nice treat. The prices are very reasonable, the food is great, and the servers are always quick. I like that the televisions always have cooking channels playing, and the decor is lovely. read more

The sushi pizza was really good. The crust was a scallion pancake which was different and we enjoyed it. We ordered a boat alone with a couple of rolls. Sushi came out pretty fast. The sashimi were cut very thick and generous. Usually other restaurants sashimi cuts are thinner. Sushi fish was fresh and the a good variety. Ordered a chicken udon for my son. This is the most important part of this place and I cannot stress this enough **THERE IS A PARKING LOT IN THE BACK** Albeit it's a bit tight, nonetheless it is a parking lot folks. If you do not feel comfortable parking there? Josephine Street is SO close and offers ample parking. I looked it up on Google Maps. If you park on the corner of Josephine Street, you will literally have to walk 200 feet to Mountain Fusion. If you Yelpers are willing to park 6 blocks away from that swanky coffee shoppe where the barista's manbun is half the attraction? Then you should be MORE THAN WILLING TO WALK 200 FEET TO THIS PLACE! And I'll tell you why... This place is worth walking 12.5 miles too. And for those playing at home, that would be from the Staten Island Ferry to this spot. I've done my round of sushi on this Island and this place takes the cake HANDS DOWN! The rolls were made to perfection and the fish was very high quality. The service is great but not in an interrupts your experience because they check on you too much kind of way. Fish to rice ratio was perfect & the rice wasn't too hard or too soft it was just right. Truly a pleasant experience. I know my fellow Islanders can be difficult and if there isn't a big huge lot they may just pass by, but you cannot pass this place up. Some of my favorite appetizers were the maki maki chicken (**MUST TRY**) and the Kobe pocket. Also ordered the tonkatsu which was not greasy. Great selection of traditional Japanese dishes as well as some new fusion dishes. Portion sizes are decent, prices are definitely reasonable and the raw fish is fresh. I also love the layout and decor. Very comfortable and I love how they have a second floor overlooking the first. Cute idea! When you first walk in the place looked really nice! Very clean and the feel is very inviting. Nothing like you would expect since you can't see anything from the outside. Options for food are pretty good esp for those who may not eat sushi/sashimi and want other options. I order the Maki combo and it was better than expected! Sushi portions are slightly smaller than what I'm used to but I was definitely satisfied by my meal. Even had enough room for the tempura green tea ice cream which was DELICIOUS.
