People were standing around the pans while they were cooking and asking the friendly chefs lots of questions. We ate plates full of paella that was as good as paella gets. We also had them do a plum dessert and it was amazing. I've since been to a dinner party in a home with SCC cooking other authentic spanish dishes, tapas and small plates. It was wonderful and I will definitely use them to do a party in my home. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

We booked Table Catering Co. for our wedding because they have an exclusive catering contract and…read moremanage the Almquist Winery venue where we wanted to get married. Unfortunately, Table Catering Co.'s management is rude, dishonest, and very difficult to work with. It was clear early on that the venue's mismanagement was going to be an issue, but we loved the Almquist Winery so much that we decided to do everything in our power to make it work. We hired one of Table's "preferred" wedding planners in the hopes that they would have a positive working relationship. Unfortunately, as time went on our wedding planners repeatedly told us that Table's administrative practices were "horrendous" and "unacceptable". Eventually it got so bad that our planners (their PREFERRED planners) said they "were severing all future ties". Table did so many rude and unprofessional things that I can't name them all and stay in the character limits for this review. They didn't show up for scheduled meetings and tastings. They sent us invoices with an illegal additional 2.2% tax charge (King County tax rate is 10.25%. They tried to charge us 12.44%). After months of reaching out and working together (and Jenny confirming our date), they made us change the date of our wedding because they didn't want to book a Saturday for less than 80 people. After several rounds of invoicing from Jenny, Brooke added an additional $1,200 to our venue costs. Worst of all, a mere 20 days before our wedding, Brooke refused to honor our executed contract and tacked on an additional $1,000+. When we asked them to honor their written estimates and contracts along the way, their response was, essentially, if you don't want to pay the higher price then cancel your wedding because another bride will pay us more. As our wedding date got closer and they kept finding new charges to add to our invoices and signed contracts we felt extorted. We had to either pay their extra fees or cancel our wedding at the last minute. In total we paid $11,718.59 to Almquist/Table for a 30 person wedding on a Sunday evening. This broke down as follows: $400 for a 3 person tasting; $2,325.00 for 3 food stations and 3 Hors d'Oeuvres; $1,670 for service staff (1 bartender, 2 servers, and 3 chefs); $3,300 for the event space (greenhouse and restaurant); $250 for a cleaning fee; $870 in bar charges; $1,052.29 in taxes; and $1,851.30 in mandatory administrative fees. The mandatory administrative fees are described in the contract as "Admin fee includes all gratuity and service charges". Despite paying over $3,500 in wages and mandatory gratuities for 5 service staff, on the day of our wedding we received terrible service and the staff actively solicited additional tips from our guests. The bartender went so far as to put a tip jar front and center on the counter and place a $20 bill slung over the side to encourage our guests to tip more. It was incredibly tacky.

The only slight issue we had was regarding communication. The communication lacked at times but that also may be due to the hectic year that the Wedding Industry had in 2021. So although that is what we experienced, we tried to remain understanding. Overall, we'd still recommend working with Table Catering Co.

The employee responded enthusiastically, saying, "Happy Monday! This is great news!! Thank you for choosing Duos Catering. I (we) will take great care of you!!" However, I was supposed to receive a call from her on Monday, which never happened. I followed up on Tuesday with my availability but did not receive a response. On Wednesday, after not hearing back again, I reached out once more, requesting a specific time to connect. The employee agreed, but a few hours later, I received an email saying, "I'm so very sorry, but unfortunately, we are no longer available on the date you requested. I was just informed that my co-worker already booked an event on the date you requested, and due to the holiday weekend, we can only take one event. I do apologize for the inconvenience. Please let me know if there is anything else I may help with." I was shocked by this email. We were ready to move forward and would have paid on asap if she had followed up as discussed. To be informed via email, and not even with a phone call, that they were no longer available was extremely unprofessional. When I called to discuss this, I was told that the other team member had not communicated with her about another couple booking the same date. I asked to speak with a manager and was contacted by the owner, Ben. During our conversation, Ben acknowledged that he was the one who booked the other client and said, "Yeah, I have been talking with them before you." FLOORED. This entire situation could have been avoided with clear communication. Had I been informed that a hold had not been placed, I would have expedited the payment process. I am deeply disappointed with this experience.

Chef Traci kicked off our morning class with freshly baked pastries as we discussed what we might want to cook that day. Then we headed into Pike Place Market, stopping at multiple businesses to meet the owners and try their delicious products. I've been to Pike Place many times, and there were a handful of shops I was experiencing for the first time. It really felt like we got VIP treatment because of the friendships Traci has built over the years. We picked out a beautiful King salmon and halibut cheeks at Pike Place Fish Market, and I even got to throw and catch a fish! Traci was knowledgeable and shared Pike Place Market's complex history along the way. Once we returned to Atrium Kitchen with our ingredients, we created two beautiful mains with the salmon and halibut, plus a couple of sides with the seasonal market vegetables we had picked up. Then it was time to dig in and enjoy our feast while chatting with Chef Traci and the other guests. There is something very special about being in Pike Place Market early in the morning before the throngs of tourists arrive. I highly recommend the morning tour and cooking class. It felt like a perfect way to experience Seattle's most famous attraction.

We had three passed appetizers during cocktail hour as well as a full salad and both salmon and beef short ribs for dinner. We opted for a family style dinner for 65, so if you have heavy eaters, I would almost recommend another entrée. The food was cooked perfectly and the presentation was really outstanding. My husband and I are itching at the chance to use Feed Co. Catering again very soon.
