Jeff Gold is the *best* attorney one could hope to retain. I received my first (and God willing, my only) DUI on May 2, 2015. Mr. Gold (or Jeff as he allowed me to call him) went above and beyond my expectations, and he even delivered more than he said he would. I'm incredibly impressed by his dedication to his clients; he not only cares about their case but also their well being. He called me at least once week to check in and continually reassured me that my hard work will pay off. I attended parenting classes once a week and AA meetings as often as possible (which, in the end, averaged out to approximately two a day). In addition, I went on SCRAM (an alcohol monitoring system, which was later upgraded to house arrest), underwent a psychological assessment and obtained letters of character. The most important step for me and my case was writing a letter about what I had learned from the experience. Although I was terrified of going to court because I was not sure how my case would be resolved, I grew to trust Jeff through the process and believed with all of my heart that he would follow through with his commitment to achieving the very best results possible. He came out of the courtroom many times to keep me apprised of how things were going. He told me he knew the district attorney and that she was someone who looked favorably upon his clients for all of their hard work. Then, he stated that the felony had been dropped. By the end of the case, I had five of the charges against me dropped (including a refusal and enhancement for driving with a BAC of 1.7). I walked away with a misdemeanor for driving above the 0.08 legal limit, which was the lowest possible charge. I avoided jail time, and I was given a minimal sentence that included a very reasonable fine. Finally, I was told early in the process that I would lose my license for one year due to my refusal. Jeff miraculously negotiated with the DA and, as a result, my license will only be suspended for one month. I cannot say enough good things about Jeff. He is highly respected by every individual he works with, because he doesn't fight - he is a master negotiator. Where there is a will, there is a way. I reached out to Mr. Gold about my boyfriend who was being charged with a Felony DUI. I had spoke to many lawyers on behalf of my boyfriend before messaging Gold & Witham. Last November I had the worse experience. I rear ended a car where I injured a family of four with one of those four being a child who suffered a broken nose. My alcohol blood level was extremely high. This was my second DUI, and endangered a family. I was looking at six years in state prison for what I did and had done in the past already. I was stuck in deep hole with no way out. Not only did I need help avoiding jail time, but I really needed personal help so I wouldn't commit the same mistake again or worse.
