My daughter tore her MCL and the ortho doctor recommended she start physical therapy. I called the first business on the list that accepted our insurance and they took my name and number and said they'd call me back "in 30 minutes". 4 weeks later I'm still waiting for that call. Fortunately this led us to Gold Medal, the next one on the list. Scheduling was VERY fast and easy, my daughter was seen the next day after I spoke to them. That night they scheduled us out for the next 8 weeks. Her therapists have been wonderful and the office staff is super friendly and welcoming. The setup is upstairs in a Credit Union building so we had a hard time finding it the first night. It also kinda looks like a home gym when you walk in, but we are very happy there! When I was halfway through my scheduled therapy sessions, I was afraid that I would never return to my normal activities. Jeremy told me that it takes time for things to show improvement in the pain, but assured me that my range of motion was improving. And he was spot on! Two months later, I have little to no pain, and am able to do things I haven't been able to do in five years. The therapists here are friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. The techs and office staff are warm and supportive, and it's a pleasure to be greeted by them at each visit. And yesterday, I "graduated" and was released from treatment. When I called Gold Medal to make my first appointment, I thought I would have to wait for at least two weeks. To my surprise, I was given an appointment the next day. Gold Medal is also very accommodating when it comes to changing appointment dates. The therapists are knowledgeable and answer my questions about concerns that I might have. The leg massages, leg stretches and various exercises are helping me with my walking. The Gold Medal facility is clean with appropriate workout equipment. I like the separate rooms with doors instead of curtains. I highly recommend calling Gold Medal Physical Therapy. read more

After two months I was still walking with a walker. Repeatedly asked for different exercises to move forward however none were given. All about the money and not therapy. Would not recommend, there are better places that actually work on your issue instead of send you to do your own exercises in their over cramped gym. read more

I would highly recommend Gold Medal Physical Therapy to anyone looking for knowledgeable, compassionate care. The level of professionalism and courtesy shown from the front desk staffers, techs and therapists is exceptional. I would rank the Perry Hall office as one of the best businesses that I have ever visited (and that's saying a lot) They couldn't have hired a better staff if they tried. The office is housed in a very modern building with dedicated parking for physical therapy clients. The rooms inside of the office offer private therapy work for your specific needs as well as a larger activity room with therapy equipment, and two flat screen TVs. The environment is modern and even the art work is well chosen. Most importantly, my Achilles Tendonitis has greatly improved since I started going here. I injured myself playing flag football a few months ago. I had a noticeable limp and limited mobility when I started. Now, my limp is gone and my mobility is better. I'm about 75% improved and have no doubt that I will get back to my old self with continued work at GMPT. read more

As a registered nurse, I came to Gold Medal Physical Therapy, Nottingham with a critical eye and high expectations. I was not disappointed. In fact, the entire staff--physical therapist, PT assistants, PT techs, front desk staff, and accounts manager--far exceeded any expectations I had. Not only was everyone with whom I came in contact extremely knowledgeable in the various aspects of physical therapy, but also warm and compassionate. To make my experience even better, they were all fun and made the time I spent in the gym getting my increasingly difficult exercises go quickly. I truly believe I would not be participating in all the activities I am now had it not been for this fabulous group of individuals. I had much better results at Gold Medal PT than at other PT offices I have tried. I had problems with my hip from bad posture and bio mechanics over the years and I really wanted to improve my squat at the gym. All of the staff that I had the pleasure to work with were great! Everyone was very knowledgeable and able to treat my hip to correct my posture and help me fix my back squat. They gave me exercises while I was there, exercises to do at home, and explained how each would help me improve. Overall I think Gold Medal was much more 'hands on' with me to help me improve my mechanics and fix weak and deficient areas than the other PT offices that prescribed less strenuous exercises and provided less effective treatment. I would highly recommend Gold Medal PT to anyone that needs to rehab an injury or even looking to improve performance in the gym by fixing overly tight or deficient muscle groups. read more

I was a little leery about having to drive such a distance to Perry Hall (I live in Baltimore City) but Al Yesolonis' style I truly appreciated. He takes his time (I learned he does that with each client) and is thorough. The sessions in the long run did help very much, so the 25+ mile drive to and from each time was worth it. It's nothing like getting rid of pain and discomfort. All the staff there from the time I entered and signed in - whether at the main building or at the office at the Brick Body Health Club - to the time I exited was exceptional. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The offices are attractive and clean. I have definitely recommended Gold Medical Therapy to many of my athletic friends who are suffering from injury. I honestly do not have a single bad thing to say about this place. From the back office to the front desk, physical therapists and techs... everyone there is top notch and really cares. They take care of all the insurance red tape and make sure you are informed the whole way through. I've been going there for almost 2 years off and on for different issues.. I've done PT, dry needling, cupping and a few other techniques to help ease my chronic pain. Everyone I have worked with there has been nothing short of courteous, professional and incredibly caring. I even referred my husband to them recently and they have helped him tremendously. I called them to see if they could take care of my him because he was in excruciating pain from a sudden injury. And they literally made adjustments to their calendar to fit him in the very next morning! This place is awesome. If you need physical therapy, I highly suggest you check them out. read more

I would recommend Gold Medal if they had handled their appointment cancellation policy- better. I received a call that was very off-putting to me; I am at loss for words by their disregard. This establishment stated their policy was that if there were three cancellations they would not provide service. I felt if there was an issue with a patron's cancellations, please- make a person aware of that knowledge before discharging a person during the holidays. I have had a knee replacement in which I am still healing, I signed policy paperwork in AUGUST, and it is now the end of December. At times, I could not definitely make it in which I rescheduled another appointment the same day. I chose that establishment because of the great reviews and to put in the work of getting my knee back on track. December 19th, I heard, "Our policy is if you cancelled more than once we have the right to discharge your care; it is in the document you signed." Then- during the conversation, I received an "I sorry- ma'am!" WOW! During the four months I spent there was there really a patron/therapist relationship built because I do value connections with the people that really care about my care! Apparently not, because they discharged me after I appealed & requested additional year end PT visits from my job, I could not possibly get a new script because of doctor's office holiday closures, and now I am diminished to a ma'am stuck with no care for ten days until the New Year? It definitely felt like the discharge was purposely done during the holiday so I could not receive care. read more

Having a treatment center inside of Brick Bodies Health Club also allows use of additional equipment, that is not generally available in most physical therapy offices along with the use of the pool. Gold Medal was a really great place to complete my physical therapy after my knee operation. All the employees showed concern and were very helpful in every aspect of my recovery. They also addressed several other issues that I had even though it was not a part of this injury. I used Gold Medal Physical Therapy after I had surgery on my shoulder. The staff was very professional and friendly. From the first time I stepped into their establishment I felt very comfortable. The therapist assessed my condition and was in constant contact with my physician. My sessions were set up to accommodate my schedule . I was hesitant at first because I was in pain and didn't think I would be able to accomplish any movement that I had known before my surgery, but at the end of my sessions my shoulder was almost as good as new. My physician was very pleased with the recovery I had made and I owe it all to the therapy team at Gold Medal and my surgeon. All the staff was so friendly that I felt as though I had a whole new set of friends, If I ever need therapy again I would certainly rely on Gold Medal. read more

I would give a SIX star rating if I could. From my first phone contact to make an appointment to the last good-bye at the end I was treated in a professional,caring, efficient manner. All of the staff members were excellent , with efficiency a top priority. Appointments were always taken on time, evaluations were shared, progress was celebrated, and communication was on a level that I could understand and ask questions as needed. I was impressed by the expertise, good humor, and caring by the therapists-- my condition and the treatment for improvement became top priority. I felt that I was a part of planning and executing my care.....I even had homework to do. I found the premises clean and sanitary at each visit. The hydrotherapy gave me another level of pain relief and extended my movements. I just can't say enough about this group! I can say that I really enjoyed the friendliness along with my treatment and I would not hesitate to return for more therapy if needed. Gold Medal PT was a great , rewarding experience for me .
