Great place in the neighborhood. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool vibes nice outdoor patio. The Gold Mine Tave[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]rn, opened in 1965, is a cherished landmark and Henderson's oldest bar, proudly anchoring the revitalized Water Street District. With its glowing vintage neon sign and welcoming dive-bar charm, it has long been a favorite gathering place for locals and visitors alike. Since its thoughtful refresh in 2018, the tavern continues to honor its storied past while embracing a vibrant future--offering live music, community spirit, and a warm nod to Henderson's hard working roots.

Deep dive into the divebar..Last minute we met friends for the NFC championship game here. Do know this place has no food options but lets you bring in whatever. I can tell you the bartender made a mean spi-zee Bloody Mary just the way I'm like them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A very friendly "Cheers" vibe about the place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nothing fancy just football, drinks and ordered in food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Fly Eagles Fly

I haven't been to Water Street in Henderson in probably 10+ years but glad I went. We had dinner reservations nearby and were early so walked to the Gold Mine Tavern for a cocktail. It was a Saturday night and the place was pretty busy. We were able to order a round of drinks for 3 and a bar stool opened up. The bartenders are quick. Drink prices are great. They have gaming, so played a little Keno. The band was warming up but we had to leave for our dinner reservations. Great vibe, I'm sure it got even busier once the band got going. They don't serve food but there was a food truck right outside that was also busy. Would definitely be back, live music is always a plus.

This place is the perfect spot for a quick and cheap drink in a place with a chill vibe. Happy hour prices are insane. They do not however serve food at all unfortunately. The service was friendly and quick.

Tvs all around

First time hanging out at Gold Mine and it was a lot of fun! The bartenders were super sweet and fun to talk to. They were about to have a bar crawl for Halloween and it started to get so busy, but that didn't stop them from always being available for drinks. They had the Knights game on and a full bar to watch it. The drinks were good and machines were definitely playing. Can't wait to go back.

Let's just say...where has this cover band been all my life?! The five of us got in line at 7:30pm, just to get a good spot on the floor right when the doors opened at 8:00pm. Admission to get in was free and we were allowed to bring in our own water and snacks. A small bar is also located inside. I drove here so I couldn't really drink any alcohol or cocktails, plus I left my water in the car, so I got myself a soda, which was only $3 plus tip. What a deal! Club Madrid is one of the coziest clubs I've been to so far. The surround sound was perfect (not too quiet or too loud) and the dance floor is very spacious. Seeing everybody dance along to their favorite classic rock songs was totally awesome, and I got to dance myself and get up close with the band at one point. As someone who has parents that listened to a bunch of classic rock when I was younger and being hooked onto it ever since, I knew and sang along to every song that they played. Some songs on their set list were Back in Black by AC/DC, Any Way You Want It by Journey, Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith, and Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple. They took the stage at 9:00pm, where they played for about two hours (no intermission) before closing their show with Hot For Teacher by Van Halen. Two people in our meetup group had to leave a little early, but myself and two others stayed for the entire duration of the show. Hint: if you want to see YBR perform, their next show will be at Boulder Station on 4/25/25. They are AMAZING and you will NOT be disappointed.

You can also sit or stand at a table top. The bar opens up and has some big screens (we watched the winter X-Games hosted in Aspen) and a great view of the stage in Club Madrid. I enjoyed a Bloody Mary with extra olives. The bartender is fast, friendly, and makes a tasty drink. He keeps a clean and stocked bar. You can tell he enjoys his job. Everyone was singing along with the band and the seats were full. The only draw back on this particular visit was the smoking. I had to leave. I was getting a headache. The ventilation at this time is temporarily hindered due to the wall that is up right behind that area. The Casino is doing a wonderful job of renovating and unfortunately until that area is complete it's not as enjoyable. You must checkout The Sports book! It is amazing. So nice! I'm looking forward to 80's night when the construction is done.

We got lucky getting there early, because it was really starting to fill up inside and out once it started! Note that The Speakeasy is 21+ only. We sat with a guy who was sitting alone at one of the tables out on the patio on the first floor - it turns out his girlfriend works here. We were all given a round of tequila shots, where I selected the silver tequila, their lightest one that they had available. They did two more rounds of tequila shots later that night, but I only did one because I drove here. One of my friends had another Jack Daniel's, which was her third one of the night. Their full drinks come with a cool light-up marble that changes color. While my friends went to go dance along with the live band that was playing various music from the 80's and 90's, I stayed behind and ordered some food, which was well needed for me. I ordered the grill cheese sandwich (stylized as THE Grilled Cheese on their menu) with fries on the side. Various cheeses were inside this sandwich, such as brie, mozzarella, and boursin. A guy dressed up as a squirrel saw me eating this and we struck up a short conversation on how he makes grilled cheese sandwiches the easy way. Though I don't eat these very often, I took his advice. Later on, our waitress approached me and told me that the bartenders were getting ready to close out all open tabs at the bar, and that it would be a great time for me to grab a drink before they stopped all sales for the night. I told her that I would be happy to have one, but I had to drive home. This was a great bar to hold an afterparty! Would love to come back again here next time. The band played well too and I recognized all the songs that they performed.

It's a band that sounds very good, has excellent musicians, the horn section is exceptional, and the singers are outstanding. However, I would suggest that they add more songs because there comes a point when we get bored dancing to the same music. And as for the DJ who plays music when the band is on break, the only word I have to describe him is: HORRIBLE. He is very repetitive and does not accept suggestions from customers. I can understand that he wants to play music from all Latin American countries, but salsa is much more international and EVERYONE dances to it, whereas the "local" music he plays, like "caballito", is very boring.

My friend's got a table this past Saturday & we're told that it's $25 minimum per person which I think is ridiculous. What if some of your people in your party don't drink alcohol? Spending $25 in non-alcoholic drinks is crazy. I think it should be @ least a $25 minimum per table. I decided to get a bucket of seltzers (5 total) & was able to mix & match with some High Noons & White Claws and the waitress said they were both the same price per can. I would have thought that the High Noons would have cost more since they're vodka base. I went with a bucket because one of my friend's said the cocktail waiters wasn't very attentive. I saw her come to our table once. The place wasn't completely full. The one thing that I didn't like was the bartender opened all my seltzers so when the I r started to melt they were trying to tip over which would of resulted in them spilling and ice water filling up into the cans....dumb Staff has always been nice when I've been in here. Two weekends ago I sat @ the star during Zowie Bowie. Female bartender was attentive. Place has always been clean. It's non-smoking. There is a small dance floor if you want to get your groove on. I like this little show room. I've never seen a cover charge to get inside which is always nice. Bathrooms are right outside. There is a wheel chair accessible ramp to get in & out.

While waiting for those, our friend went to close out the tab and ordered shots, but asked for something that would be good.
