We had my son's 21st birthday party here. We wanted an all ages family event since he was doing Reno the following weekend. I had only seen this place online but went ahead and reserved the event room. To our surprise the place was perfect. The owner took wonderful care of us, even helped us hang decorations and pulled out extra tables for the food and cake. They really liked my "Cheers and Beers" wall sign so I donated it. :) The food package along with the event room were cheaply priced. Great selection of beer too!! They bought my son his first beer and gave him a tshirt. We had a wonderful experience and look forward to going back for fun, cheap date nights with friends. Best place to play pool when ever you have free time they have the best fry's better than some places.

We used to love going here on Friday nights with our family and friends until one night.. we end up spending more than 100$ a night, the music box that WE pay for (because no one will play anything because it requires money) was Latino music. The woman who worked there that night was very sassy about the music playing and changed it to something else because people where complaining and says she has the right to refuse service to anyone..fine I get that it's not everyone's taste BUT not once did she offer to refund the money we spent on it and once we left the woman still accused us of trashing the restroom without knowing who it was and said THATS WHY WE DONT SERVE YOUR KIND HERE! Talk about being racist. My friends and I will not be returning. They definitely need classes on customer service. read more

The bartender that night, Shelly, was very attentive to my requests and super accommodating. The restroom were also very clean which I appreciated. We had a private event for my workplace and we were super taken care of. The staff met all of our needs and exceeded our expectations. The food was great and there was a good variety for all of our guests. I enjoyed the wings, jalapeño poppers, and dirty tots especially. They had a good selection of drinks and were able to serve everyone. They serve Pepsi products and we got several pitchers of the different beers they have on tap. The pool tables were in great condition, there were also darts, connect4, and a punching bag machine that got used a lot that night. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we plan to go back again! I came out to Gold Rush Billiards this past weekend to celebrate with some friends. From the minute you walk in the door, you walk in to a clean & friendly environment! The service the my group and I received from the owners as well as the staff was some of the best service I've ever experienced - even on a busy Saturday night they were very attentive to our group and made sure we always had what we needed from drinks, to food, to making sure we were entertained as well! The TV's around the entire pool hall is a really nice touch ; gives you something to do while you're waiting for your turn to play pool, darts, or a few of the other various games they have to entertain. I went here early in the afternoon on a whim and I had a really good time. The beer was a little on the pricey side but not outrageous. The bathrooms were really clean and all of the equipment was really new and clean! The staff was friendly and accommodating. I especially liked the person, I believe to be the proprietor or manager. I wished there was just s little more space between the tables but I may feel that way because at one point the neighboring table just didn't give a f*** and nearly bumped me several times with his pool cue. read more

I came here with a group of friends way after the Yuba-Sutter Brewfest (came in around 11:30pm) to continue to drink and hangout. Overhearing the locals around there, I've learned that this billiards was recently open so I can see why there was a huge crowd at this time of night. We ordered a pitcher a beer and waited for a friend to arrive. The beer that was provided tasted a bit flat but it does it's job of getting a buzz. We checked out some billiard balls (~$8.50/hr.) and played some billiards, which was fun! We ordered a ton of fry food! From fries, mozzarella sticks, mushroom poppers, jalepeno fries, all of which were pretty good and satisfying after a bunch of drinks. By the time it was 1:45am, I was so tired and just wanted to go to bed, so checked out and payed whatever time we used. Strange thing though, our total for all the food and time for billiard came out to be $11.50. There was no way it costed that little but we payed the bill and left. Overall, decent place. I have noticed a lot of younger people hanging out over there, which I find kinda off from it. There was even an 11 year old hanging out with I think his cousin? I don't know... I would come back again just to hang out as a group but probably not on my own. read more

Made a reservation for us and had half the pool hall set aside. Allowed us to bring the birthday cake and everything. When we arrived she brought everything right to us. Then she was just super friendly and on top of things all night. Best customer service I've had in my area in a LONG time and she was running the whole place alone! Love this place! Great place to bring friends and family! They even have Tournaments but after an incident that was out of my hands I will not play in the tournaments again or at least not for a while! Owners are great! I don't see how people can rate their reviews on them! If you can't follow rules then don't go out! That being said the only problem I have and have heard others complain about is that this place gets pretty hot while you are playing pool! It's not enjoyable when you are sweating from not even doing anything. Sometimes it's ok but when the place isn't packed it seems that the AC gets turned off! Other than that!
