I never leave reviews but this was worth it-I am a somewhat regular here and I always get the same thing and the service is always amazing!! The staff always has good recommendations I've never sent anything back-food is hot and well seasoned. When it's busy it's loud but it's a bar. it's a Friday night I went for a party and was too early (my fault lol) and my server was so gracious to move me and my order when the party arrived but it was hectic as the party underestimated how many people would be there. My food came out but there was no seating due to it being super busy (not the fault of the business) and my server Lacey and kat were amazing!! kat was a superstar and always has been very kind sweet and makes you feel at home and lets you eat barely interrupted. Lacey was absolutely wonderful in handling my awkward food debacle she kept my food hot while waiting for a table to open and then kindly packed it for me when there was no spot. Visited April 9 2026. See my receipt. I got here when they opened at 11am. There was one other person inside as it just opened. I had heard they had great chicken wings and decided to get a small order ( 6 pieces) . They have a ton of sauces to choose from. I chose the spicy mix ( their viking and Chipotle I think). It was good and crunchy and came with a couple celery and carrot sticks. What I didn't like was the 30 minute wait for 6 wings. Also I had bar seating and could see into the kitchen. More like a social hour than concentrating on their patrons. If you are a regular you will be taken care of quickly. It's more of a sports bar ( full bar) attracting mainly guys. That's fine..it just wasn't my vibe. Plenty of tvs to watch sports which is a plus ( big 49ers fan!). If I eat there again I will order ahead of time and pick it up. Located in the heart of Downtown Yuba City this sports bar is the local watering hole for the town. Over a dozen TV's and 55 beers on tap this is a must visit during any sporting events if you're new to town or even a longtime resident. The food here is decent and I'd give it a solid 3.5 out of 5. Highlight here was the burger for me. Wings were a bit fatty but they were big and saucy too. I'd definitely visit again if there was a big game on and I was in the area. Restaurant was clean. This place was highly recommended by locals. -Wait time about 5-10 min on a Saturday without reservations. -Large booth seating available for bigger parties. -Eccentric decor, torn seats, looks a bit run down. Stopped in for a beer and some dinner while in town. Pub ambiance, great specials running the night we were here - our waitress Angelica clues us in on all of them. She was amazing and on top of everything, excellent service. Fish tacos were very good as well as the $4 special brat. Grabbed $2 beers - great stop here! read more

Great place to watch the sports games, especially football . The best wings in town... I love and order the spinach dip with pita bread every time .. great selection of beers and ciders. Beer tastings /flights are available if you want to try different and new beers. They're a lot of local breweries choices which is nice. Get there early during football season because it gets packed. I've never truly felt as if a restaurant deserved a one star I usually wanna give it zero stars or five. Man, this place deserves one star only because the AC worked and there was a seat for me to sit . Staff was rude. Food was undercooked. I wish it would've been a little bit more friendly. I really wanted this place to work out because I live so close to it. Most people in our community told me that this place was a staple. Went in at lunch time. The service was bad. They wouldn't give you the time of day. Had to keep asking for water. The Steak Sandwich was not good at all. The BBQ Sauce was the worst... The taste was nasty. I mean I couldn't eat it. I love BBQ Sauce and It was such a bad taste. The bread was wet. The soup had an odd taste. My mother was with me and I had taken her to lunch with me. Her food wasn't good either. I have come here over the years with people and I always try to give it a chance. I just don't recommend it. The food and service was not good and it never really is. The Cesar Salad is the only good thing I have eaten here. Hope this review helps people. I am a foodie and love to travel the world and eat all kinds of food. I can't believe I actually had legitimately bad pizza for the first time. If you're ever curious to try bad pizza, order the margherita pizza here. It was severely unseasoned aside of the sprinkle of black pepper, bland as a piece of cardboard, no clue what was going on with the bread. We ordered a pasta plate and only had 4 pieces of chicken that were burned. I asked the waitress if I can get a side of chicken since the one that was on my plate was burned and hard and she said there would be a charge or they can remake it... It was the slowest service ever. I could not deal with this terrible time. The store was not very clean, there are bugs flying everywhere and last and certainly not least the food. I have had hit and miss experiences with HV. This was my first time since the remodel, and it looks very nice. I am glad to see they did away with the hostess (last time we were there, we were never greeted they just stood there talking to each other, and after five min, we left). It is now seat yourself. There are a lot of tvs so it is good for sports watching. I had the chicken wrap with grilled chicken and Bama sauce and fries. The fries were very crispy, and the wrap was ok - a bit bland...however it was all fresh. The boy got the 3 pigs burger and fries. It was ok, but the pork belly was not crispy, so it just tasted like a bland piece of fat, which wasn't very appealing. On other visits, we have had the wings, but at $2.50 a wing (hey, that's the economy right now), we passed. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive, but she did not give us her name, or I would if given her a shout-out - she hustled. Bonus the bathrooms were super clean and did not smell at all. after our last visit, I didn't think I would be back, but after yesterday, they redeemed themselves. read more

This is an amazing sports bar. Went in here for lunch during a trip to Maryville and will definitely be back. The food was great.

I hold my Fantasy Football Draft here every season. Between the beer selection, TVs galore, and the food options. It's the place to be. My wife and I are "eat-at-home" people and order take-out here all the time. The garlic fries are a must, their burgers are good and my kiddos like their chicken strips. The pizza and wings are also winners as well. During football season, they are packed because they have every game on. The ambiance is perfect for game day. This may sound like a deterrent, but you NEED to be there in a Sunday to root for your favorite team. It's a great experience. The staff is always friendly. The owners are wonderful people as well, and are always giving back to the community. Support them. 5/5 read more

The service was fine. The place was too noisy for my taste, but that wasn't the issue. I ordered a hamburger, which took 25 minutes to receive. The burger was ordered "no pink", but the first bite showed pink. I've attached photos of the tomato, lettuce and sauce that accompanied the burger. The onions were limp, not crisp. There was no salt, pepper, ketchup, or mustard on our table. You can see that the amount of sauce was .. insufficient. When I pointed out that the burger had pink, the waiter went off and took it off the bill and returned with the bill. No offer to get it right, or cook it further. I stopped at a drive thru on the way home to get a burger. read more

Very impressed by my first time here! The atmosphere is really fun; you are basically surrounded by 365° of TVs! The menu had pretty standard "bar food" with an impressive number of wing flavors to choose from! The good we ordered was delicious (I would say better than average). I was able to sub salad for French fries with my chicken strips, but the fries I tried off my boyfriends plate were So GOOD! Unfortunately I'm not in Yuba City often, so I'm not sure when I'll be back. But I definitely recommend Happy Viking as a great place to stop for a bite or to watch sports when you are in the area! read more

Back to the Viking for the first time in a few years. I used to visit all the time. We were served by (newbie) Maria under the support of Nicole. Maria did a great job and Nicole I believe youve served us in the past.... Efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. The Steak Salad- good as always. Could use some tomatoes and or onions, etc. other than just greens and steak. But it was good all the same. And the Cubano seem to be half the size that it used to be. Delicious as ever though.
