From the buses themselves (which were incredibly clean and looked super modern) to the drivers (nicest drivers I've ever had) and everyone who works there, everyone was incredibly helpful. Kiren was amazing in helping plan out two bourbon tours for me and couldn't have done it without her help and expertise. I hate to break their 5 star streak, but unfortunately I did not have such an experience. I planned my brother's bachelor party the weekend of September 21st and the main trip was distillery tasting and it ended up being fine for the most part, no thanks to Gold Shield. Gold Shield started off pretty awesome. Communicated well in the beginning and they were cheaper than their competitors that I called. So I went with them. I was informed they would handle the reservations for the distillery tours and it would be on the invoice and then we just pay Gold Shield... sounded perfect. No hassle at the distilleries, reservations would be made. Gold Shield decided to send me the confirmations, showing times etc. I trusted they knew what they were doing seeing how they handle this all the time. I checked the price etc for each tour but didn't map it out, that was for them. We arrived at the first distillery (which was a complimentary tour and tasting). Well since Gold Shield didn't have to charge us for that one they didn't even make a reservation for our group of 12 ppl. Luckily the distillery squeezed us in on time. The next distillery was paid for and fine. We had a reservation. But that was for 11:15 we got out and on the bus at 12:30 after our driver informed me that we had to leave the restaurant that was 10 minutes away (on the confirmation for lunch) at 1:10 in order to make our 3rd and final tasting. Of course Gold Shield didn't have to pay anything in advance or charge us, so they put it on the confirmation and failed to book a reservation. Then think about 12 ppl trying to get into a restaurant and eating in 20 minutes! A nice sit down restaurant.... yeah needless to say that didn't happen (shocking). So we missed our final tour by a long shot due to no reservation at the lunch spot they put in our confirmation. Takes 12 ppl about a little over an hour to eat at a minimum. Fast forward, Wild Turkey made accommodations for us to do a tasting but we missed the entire tour. We then arrived an hour late back at the house due to all this. Of which Gold Shield did not hesitate to bill me for that extra hour. Just make sure you micro manage this company and confirm everything when using them. You don't want to spend the money to fly out and realize they didn't do as they told you and things fell through. Our driver on the other hand was great! read more

By far the best transportation experience in Lexington ever. I've tried several taxi companies in Lexington and trying to get an Uber or Lyft early mornings for a ride to the airport. Ride share not always available early and my experience with taxi companies in lexington was not good. I found Gold Shield and had the best experience. All for about $200, fast forward 2 months later, and they call me 2 days before the event saying that they couldn't honor their original rate because it was on a Friday and now want to charge me $850 total now. Why would you let people go through all the trouble and book online and send them an invoice? Only for you to call them 2 days before, thinking it would be okay that the price is $650 more. I used Gold Shield's charter bus to drive 50 family members touring the Cincinnati and Dayton area. Gold Shield was absolutely amazing. From the very beginning, Bob helped me find the perfect charter bus. On the day of the event, Chris was an incredible driver. The bus was clean, had nice black leather seats, a bathroom, and multiple TVs. Chris was a good communicator, arrived early, stayed late, and did multiple drop-offs. I've taken a few airport shuttles in my days... limos and vans, not as often. I will say that even though I've not used GS for airport shuttle, considering my opinion and experience of the van shuttle, I'd recommend it. I wasn't in charge of booking, so I can't comment on the pricing. What I can comment on, is how clean and new the van was. It had been snowing outside, so the ground was slushy and messy. The inside of the van was so clean and modern, that I almost felt the need to take my shoes off... or at least wipe my boots off. I've seen several GS van and buses around town and I think most of the vans/buses that they have are all new and top of the line. The seats were comfortable and the van was even equipped with a bathroom. If I'm ever in the market for booking group sized transportation, this will be where I start. read more

We booked Gold Shield for our daughter's wedding on March 18,2017. We reserved a sprinter van to pick up the bride and her bridesmaids at a hotel and take them to the wedding venue. The van was on time, driver very courteous, and helpful with the girls luggage, etc. No complaints. We also reserved their Rolls Royce to pick the couple up after the reception to transport them to the hotel. The driver again, was on time ( even early), was extremely courteous and again, helped with luggage, etc. We were very pleased with the service of Gold Shield and will book them again.
