This is my first one star review. I usually try to avoid giving poor reviews, but in this case I believe it is necessary. Very horrible service. Believed I was booking a horse farm tour and bourbon tour after requesting this and sending back an email stating I was looking forward to the tour, and never was told otherwise until the driver already had picked us up and told us no tours were booked for the day. Spoke to JB in the office who was rude and then told the driver, without my knowledge, to take my group home. After initialing refunding, I was told my credit card was charged again without my knowledge or consent. When I told the company this was not OK and they were not authorized to charge my card, this is part of the response JB/Thoroughbred Limo sent me: "Your comments tell me you are someone looking to scam an honest small business... You remind me of the scammers at restaurants that want their $200 tab comp't because the $5 kids meal french fries were cold... You must desperately need the money. Have a good weekend. Extremely unprofessional company. Called to book but the phone number refers you to their online booking website. Went to website and books. After not hearing from them for a month I email the company and receive a phone call. Was informed that my request "fell" through the cracks because they were not checking the website and they can not fill the request without charging me more. The person on the phone informed me that my date requested is a special rate and I could just pay more to continue with my rental. No where on the website does it state Saturday's in May require a special fee on the website it specifies certain events such as derby, breeders cup, keeneland etc. There is not one of these events Occurring on my date or in the city of Lexington. As a bride I would not pick this service as my transportation. Here I am a month out from my wedding scrambling for something else. This company is unreliable and untruthful. Extremely disappointed in the service we received, and the customer service we received following. We booked the Wine Tour South Trail as described on their website under "Services" tab. I spoke to a woman from the company two times and she asked both times which winery tour I was interested in. "Winery Tour" was even listed on our contract. The tour started out fine. Our driver (who was contracted through the company, not employed directly by company) was on time and sweet. He seemed a little lost on where we were going, but he knew the addresses of the locations so we were good to go. The first two wineries went by uneventfully. We drove 20 minutes to the third and final winery to discover it was closed. A quick search of the winery's website indicated that the winery was CLOSED to the public. We wasted time driving 20 minutes out of the way to visit a winery that wasn't even open. As a company who advertises a winery tour and lists this winery as one of the stops on an advertised tour, you would think they would be knowledgeable about each winery we were being sent to. We spent some time figuring out what would do with our limited remaining time and ended up back at the first winery we visited because it was our best option. We were disappointed to have wasted a bunch of time riding around when we were hoping to be tasting wine! After returning from our trip, I reached out to the owner today to ask for some reimbursement as we felt like we did not get what we paid for as advertised. The owner responded that we had paid for an hourly limo service and the wineries listed on their site were just recommendations and were responsible for our itinerary and choosing our wineries. I'm confused as to why they even have a winery tour option listed on their website that says we can tour wineries "worry-free" and also, to quote from their website, "We will also be happy to offer recommendations on lunch or dinner spots, and our chauffeurs will diligently maintain your customized schedule throughout the day. Please see our Wine Tours Rates above for more information on pricing." Seems like false advertising to me?? Our contract says "winery tour", multiple communications with the company indicated we were going on a winery tour, but when it came to the day of, we ended up going on a limo ride in Kentucky. Don't be fooled - the "winery tour" service is NOT a winery tour (unless you've planned it all yourself and given your driver a set itinerary). And when I expressed my disappointment in the service I purchased, it was turned around on me as my responsibility. read more

We hired Thoroughbred for a day of whiskey distillery touring and had a great time. Our driver Silvio was extremely prompt, courteous, and a good driver. We were able to fit in four distillery in a day, even with a stop for lunch. Our really enjoyed the fact that everyone could sample the whiskey at each location without worrying about driving in between. Highly recommend! read more

I am not sure where my review went that I wrote a couple months back but it is gone now so I am going to write it again. We rented a bus to take our guests from the hotel to the house where we were having a wedding. They got lost and didnt take people the route we had asked for. The worst thing was at night when the van we rented was to take people back to the hotel. They took two groups from the house. The first group they ended up taking to Richmond when they were supposed to take them to a hotel on the east side of Lexington off of Man of War. They came back late and took one more group knowing they were leaving 14 DRUNK people and needed to make one more trip. They never came back. We tried to call the company and we got the machine. There was no number to call to contact anyone ... so we were left with having to get 14 drunk people (without cars because of course we didnt want anyone to drive) back to the hotel. Thankfully after several trips by one person who was not drinking we got the last person back to the hotel at 3:30 am. I would NEVER use these people again.
