I found Mayday dog training off of yelp. We were very impressed with the reviews. I gave him a call…read morefor a prospective service dog I wanted to train. He was very honest with me about his thought after hearing her traits. Thus we waited until we could get a different dog. He won my trust over by not immediately saying it would work out. As I was fully ready to pay the amount necessary to train the dog. I was nervous as I didn't know anything more than what the reviews and speaking to him on the phone before doing the full package of training. I have heard nightmare stories of folks spending thousands and the dog not being properly trained. YOU GUYS! This guy and his staff are awesome. Don't look any further! Nick has amazing communication. He was so patient with my daughter at pick up, and was very interactive and good at instructing her with the dog. Our dog is training for service. We couldn't be more impressed with what they accomplished in time we trained in! He also really cares about the dogs, and gave a really comprehensive lesson in implementing the training at pick up to make sure we understood how to get what is expected out of her. We asked a lot of questions, and he was very good at answering and explain the 'why's'. It is one thing to be a good dog trainer, and another to be a good instructor. He is both. He also made sacrifices for our family in time of great need to us. Definitely a business with integrity, with down to earth trainers. You will be given honest advice. Mayday dog training is here to create teams. As such you have a bargain to uphold to your dog to keep them in shape and trained up. They are the real deal. Pleased to be giving them your business! S

Sayde made huge strides in her service dog training. Learning her first official task as well as all the ground work for future ones. Communication from Nick during Sayde's stay was incredible! He kept me up to date with pictures and information throughout the entire experience. He, even still months later, checks in on us and ensures we are still making progress and that their training remains in place. A quality hard to find in many training programs. I would highly recommend Mayday Dog Training for anyone looking to improve their dogs obedience or complex training.

We initially thought we'd foster her for adoption due to her dog aggression issues. After working with Travis, we decided togive Rosie a forever home ourselves. We brought Travis in to privately train her so she didn't have to deal with the stress of a group setting and because we wanted a tailored training program. With Lone Star Dog Training, we received an excellent job. Travis educated us about how training is important and what results he felt we could see. Over the course of 4 months, Rosie went from being aggressive toward our other dogs to feeling safe and comfortable with them. She's even adopted our 12 year old border terrier as her sister. Rosie has progressed from a frightened stray who did not wag her tail or understand how to take affection, to bounding and leaping with joy when she sees her people. She now seeks out our affections and looks forward to spending time with us. If not for Lone Star Dog Training, we would not have decided to keep her. It showed us what a wonderful, fun and loving dog Rosie is. Thank you, Travis , for your dedication and patience with us.

Our trainer, Monica, was excellent with Daisy and what I loved most about her was that she would explain to us how she was training our dog and also why she would do something a certain way. A lot of times she would comment about how this reinforces some sort of behavior or would boost Daisy's confidence, etc. At one point of our training Daisy didn't take well to the previous lesson (down lesson) and Daisy wasn't receptive to the next training session and was extremely nervous and jittery. Monica picked up on this right away and instead of just charging through, took a step back to assess the situation and told us that this lesson would be free since Daisy wasn't herself and even considered bringing another trainer in. We were extremely appreciative of this gesture and found it to be very considerate and professional. We were a little nervous starting out the training because Daisy is an extremely sensitive and submissive dog, but at the end of the training (which was today) her confidence levels are much higher and she seems to be a much happier dog!!! Daisy is far from perfect but her discipline and manners are getting better every day and we love seeing her progress and growth. We highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training. We did a ton of research and even met with other companies but we could not have been happier with our choice.

We tried to reach out to the trainer, but he wouldn't answer our calls after a year. I finally got a hold of corporate and they let me know that the guy was ripping people off and using their name. They said they would make it right we went to do an assessment last weekend. The gentleman told us everything would be covered since they were filing a federal case against the old trainer that took advantage of us. We just got a call that we would have to pay another $3000 and they were gonna give us $200 off. I can't believe they took advantage of us like this. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They also act like they all for veterans. My husband and I are both beds and I'm a disabled vet. Our hard earned money was stolen with zero remorse or accountability.

Wish we had found Sydney sooner to save ourselves the hassle and time with trainers who don't know how to handle a purebred working breed. Our boy's main issue was reactivity with other dogs while walking him on a leash in the neighborhood. Sydney trained and educated us by giving us the tools to manage our stubborn, and strong, puppy. We've been going to Sydney for over a year to keep up the obedience and our boy is doing things we never thought would be possible before, such as sitting quietly in a room full of other dogs, and walking past reactive dogs in the neighborhood without incident. He is a retired k9 police officer from Chicago and does REAL WORLD training. No tricks or treats. We first knew of Sidney when we saw him hold classes right outside of the dog park and we thought it would be the perfect training for Ellie. She would get easily distracted even by a leaf or a butterfly and take off. Also, she needed some obedience training. Fast forward, we have been training with Sidney for almost a year and we keep coming back. He knows how to read your dog to bring out the best in each of them. We went in wanting to learn obedience, and we keep wanting to learn more to see what else she is capable of doing. We truly enjoy the time we spend with Ellie in training classes each week and incorporating these skills in our routines at home. Ellie is a very well trained dog and we can actually walk her off leash with confidence that she will not wander off. We have also competed and placed in AKC rally competitions in her first weekend. If you're willing to put in the work with your dog and want to meet other hard working dog owners, come check out Total Control K9 College. We practice at Bill Archer Dog Park every Saturday morning around 9-11 AM and Wednesdays at Preppy Pet parking lot on Highway 6 and Rippling Waters at 7PM - rain or shine. Also, check out his Facebook live videos on the Total Control K9 College page to watch him work his magic on dogs who come in with behavioral issues or with high energy and within minutes he calms them down. I have witnessed this with my own eyes every week... I just can't make this stuff up!

I took my special needs dog to this hell hole, and I very clearly explained his needs and what I wanted. They never once said they couldn't provide it. Yet they didn't give him his medication, they threw him out in the 90 degree weather and left him covered in piss and poop for days! I also gave the a brand new box of specialty dog food which they stole and gave me back an empty box. When I got him home and cleaned him up, he was so afraid of everything. He then had a seizure a few nights later, which means they didn't give him his seizure medication. His paws have swelled up to twice their normal size, the vet says it's a bacterial infection from standing around in feces. Ugh. And the lady trying to tell me that my dog could somehow get outside is just an outright liar. He is incapable to getting over a barrier taller than 6 inches, they simply didn't want to clean the indoor area every morning. If your little shi tzu mauled your kid, don't go to Cesar Milan. Get thee to an ACVB diplomat, a vet that is an animal behaviorist. Speaking from experience on this! Going to Dr. Haug was INSANELY expensive--b/c she is the top dog--heehee. It was very informative, but I was at a loss in knowing how to apply this knowledge to my home life w/o taking a second mortgage. I wish I had started w/ Sit Stay, and Obey! Sheila directly applies the theory and science AT MY HOME! My stupid dog can act like Lassie at an expensive, highly structured dog training facility. But my stupid dog won't act like that when he's with stupid me. Haha, I get that the majority of the solution lies w/ training me. Sheila came over to our house. She listened to the issues we had, helped us prioritize what needed to be worked on first, watched us, had us watch her, then had us try what we learned right there in our living room. She helped us get on a plan--realistic plan based on what we could actually achieve. And we had clear next steps and check-ins. I appreciate theory and information, but I am not smart enough to connect the dots into applying the knowledge at my house. I literally need someone to show me how to do this in my house, with my dog, and my family. We have since rehomed our little shi tzu at a god-send home w/ no kids. We now have an 8 month, almost 80 lb puppy that has benefited from working w/ Sheila since its first month on this earth. Because of Sheila our three-year old toddler is now empowered to help train and safely play with the monster (still always under our supervision of course). Sheila is guiding all of us to have the BEST relationships w/ the puppy and the puppy w/ us. It's quite beautiful after the scary start for my baby... And w/o paying the INSANE amounts of money to train my dog at somewhere other than our house. Thank you Sheila.... You've helped my baby's fear of dogs and empowered all of us to be whole again...

I couldn't believe what she accomplished with my dog on the first day, let alone after 4 days of training. Dexter, a rescue dog, who was taken from his momma at 5 weeks (currently 4 months old), needed to learn bite inhibition, and he had anxiety issues. He is a different dog; more calm, relaxed and so pleasant! He went from biting and barking and jumping (mostly what puppies do anyway, but the biting was getting more aggressive and a huge concern for me) to doing none of those. In 4 days, the majority of basic obedience has been taught. I can put him in the down position, drop a treat, say leave it, and he won't touch it until I say! I have always wanted a well-behaved dog, and because of her work, I have that!! And it will only continue, as Dexter will get to work with her once a week! I highly recommend Dawn - 2 HUGE thumbs up.
