Two beef patties, bacon crisp enough to snap, cheese melting into the lot, onion strings giving it crunch, and that chipotle sauce tying it all together. It was not just food, it was rescue in a paper wrapper. The service was exactly what you want at 9pm in small-town Texas. Quick, polite, and straight to the point. No nonsense, no waiting about. On my way back to the car I spotted a scruffy cat by the dumpster. Looked like it had seen better days, but it carried itself like it still owned the night.
