I wish I could post a picture. The contents of 3 tacos was enough to fill one taco. I called to complain, the cashier was nice and asked if I wanted to talk to a manager, I said I would. I heard them talking crap before he realized their mistake, then put me on mute, then eventually hold. I got tired of waiting on someone, who isn't obviously manager material, to do his job and deal with customer complaints and hung up. I'm not sure what made us stop and eat at Dairy Queen since it's been years but we decided to since it's up the road from our house. Well $28.00 dollars and 2 combos later I'm writing this review wondering how we got here. I remember it use to be cheap! We ordered a bacon cheeseburger and the steak strip combo we didn't upsize anything just substituted one of the fries for chili cheese fries. I couldn't believe it when he said the total was $28.00. Hankering a small town original made the trip to the nearest Dairy Queen which is in the town of Castroville. The restaurant was clean and service was great. The food is what you expect at Dairy Queen met my expectation, tried out the cheesy steak finger basket which was cheesy plenty of flavor highly recommend a try for this limited time entree! My wife ordered the chicken strip basket, comes with gravy, I am in luck with the dressing bar with a helping of honey mustard! Now I went to this Dairy Queen for a late night snack. Good part is that it's not too far from my home. Also that they were open pretty late considering the area normally closes down area 8 or 9pm. Went through the drive thru and it wasn't busy at all again late night snack. The young lady working that night was polite and friendly. Even a little playful. That's was cool because they were closing soon and most folks aren't in a playful mood at the end of their shifts. No, my poor blizzard. . Back story i have been wanting one for about a week or two. I got a heath blizzard that I have gotten many of times before. In different places. They all have been the same. Also with whip cream as the topping. This night it was made differently. Yum!!!! We stopped here and went inside and ordered the best food. We got three blizzards. Oreo had crunchy cookies on it. The cookie dough had some snickers and it was soooo good. We also got a chocolate strawberry blizzard. It was really good. We had some chicken strips, chili cheese fries, a cheese burger, and taco salad. We love fate away and they made the taco salad all separate so it lasted until we could get gone to our kids. Everything was really Good and they got all our modifications correct. They where super nice about it and alllllll the 7 meals where done in less than ten minutes. It's was all delicious. The desserts are so good too. It's worth it for the drive. I haven't had a horrible experience here at the drive through yet, and I come here often for the summer berry cake cupfection and I'll often times order my mom a banana split. This is definitely summer hot spot if you need something sweet to cool down with. DQ is definitely one of the places that is open pretty late compared to other places so its nice to have it near by for a late night craving. read more

The service was great the restaurant was clean and the food was hot and fresh! Cant ask for much more than that from a fast food spot! Chicken tenders were crispy and juicy! I've been getting food here since 2019, the service is good, the workers are fun, it's warm, and it looks nice, clean, and it's overall a positive place to be in. My only complaint is but a mere suspicion, there is a WiFi named something very explicit, however I do not know if it's from the DQ, or a place close by. I think it's funny, but it's not appropriate for any minor, but there are worst problems in the world than a WiFi name, there's alot of emos there too. I think they're cool. I cant hear anything you're saying. She just got more rude as I continued to attempt to place my order. Said she couldn't hear me even though I was talking as loud as I could. She said it was my car. But I told her I have a 2018 corolla. Barely makes a sound. It was probably the truck behind me. I asked for the manager because her attitude was completely unacceptable and she laughed and said I am the manager. Wouldn't give me general manger name or number. Nobody answers the phone. Had to go inside to place my order. Short staffed. Line out the door. One cash register open. No ranch dressing at dressing bar. Stood at the dressing bar and waited over 10 minutes for ranch dressing. Food was cold and blizzard was melted by the time they came back to the dressing bar to tell me they were completely out of ranch. Even the packets Absolutely pathetic. Worst experience ever. I asked for a refund on my salad and she said I'd have to wait for the manager Bc she's extremely busy working the drive they window. I just ate the chicken off my salad since I didn't have time to wait for the refund. Went to eat my blizzard and only the top quarter was actually blended. The rest was solid white ice cream. Just stopping by after going to the park, we were in the mood for some ice cream and my fiancé had been wanting fries for the longest time, the chili cheese ones to be exact. First time at this location. I got a cappuccino Heath blizzard (which San Antonio does not carry) and it was the best blizzard I've ever had! This is a typical DQ in that's beginning to show its age. However, the food and ice cream is as good as any DQ, new or old. The staff is always kind, and able to answer my questions on their products. The tables are typically clean of any customer garbage, if given a couple of minutes. What I like about this place is seeing the old timers come in. It's like a part of their daily routine. Sharing an ice cream with your best gal never gets old despite our age. read more

Saw the new Dairy Queen commercial advertising the new Western BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger, so I thought I'd go get one. I attempted to order the new burger, and the cashier didn't know if they had it. So I asked him to check...he does and he's told they don't have it...I was so frustrated because it's annoying that a restaurant advertises something and then doesn't follow through. Then when I ordered the $5.99 meal deal, the food comes out and is not even hot! Not to mention there were only about 15 little french fries. The blizzard I got was supposed to be the Pumpkin Pie one, but it tasted like vanilla ice cream with graham cracker bits in it. The past two times we have gone through the drive thru for hunger busters they are cold! The cheese isn't even slightly melted (today they forgot the cheese even after I requested it). We stopped by for lunch and ordered the Blizzard Meal Deal. We were very impressed with the quality of their food and fast service. When we ordered our mini blizzards we notified them of me and my brother's peanut allergy and they made the extra effort to clean the entire blizzard machine! In fact, we were so impressed that we asked for the manager to assure her she had a great staff working there! We'll defiantly come back when we're back in Castroville. read more
