So I have thought I ordered from a different restaurant but when I got to the restaurant I didn't had never hit send. So I went through the drive-thru egg golden chicken. I have to say I got really good service. I told him that I wanted the honey mustard and then I remembered my husband likes the gravy. I never mentioned ranch. When they have the food it is good. 3rd time I've been there and again they had no roasted chicken (out of breast & wing today). Decided I'd try the shrimp plate, no coleslaw or salad; they were waiting on the truck. So I left, the order taker was apologetic but it's every time I've gone there it's a disappointment. Awesome location! Monday night half price specials! Much better chicken than Chicken E! Went through drive through Monday night during the COVID19 ordeal, it was PACKED and they were understaffed & overworked. My order didn't get brought out so I went in to get it. A man came in screaming at them, being rude and hateful. These kids were doing their best and customers are just rude and ungrateful. Thanks guys for hanging in there & also for upsizing my GRAVY! You guys are hero's to us front liners and health care workers for providing supper during these times! Not bad. I've eaten here a couple times. Like most places lately, it is understaffed, but the service has been friendly and attentive. The bathrooms were out of paper towels on one visit, and the floor needed a good sweeping on another. The food is decent. High points for the rolls, chicken sandwiches, and tenders. The free ice cream is a nice touch as well. Oddly enough, the most disappointing menu item was the original fried chicken. I know they'd be sued if they copied the colonel's 11 herbs and spices, but could we at least have 2 or 3? Or maybe even just some salt? I was also unimpressed with the fries and green beans. The fried okra was the best side I had. My mother-in-law described the "kickin' wings" as "good." I'm sure I'll go back, but I won't eat here more than occasionally... read more

If you substitute your gravy out for a sauce they will only give you one sauce and charge you for more. Ridiculous.

This location is horrible! Chicken is cold, fries are called and no ice at all! They put the no ice on the soda machine instead of the front door so everybody still gets to pay for their sodas even though there's no ice! You'll definitely need to do way better! read more

Worst experience at a Golden Chick ever. The girl at the counter didn't say a word to me while I ordered and I asked questions. She looked at me the whole time in fact spoke no words to. After I ordered I wasn't even sure she had what I wanted. The two other girls in the back got our food out and I'm here to eat with my two little children 5 & 2 and they have me no plate nothing to put our food on. I had to yell at the other girl for a plate and she basically threw the two plates at me and rolled her eyes. I have never paid money to be treated with disrespect for no reason.. do not go here. The people that work here don't do a thing for you. I'm afraid that we may get sick because if that's how they show care to paying customers I doubt they care about food care and safety. Terrible. Terrible Terrible. Ordered fish. Mac and cheese. Waited 20 minutes got fish and green beans. No forks, no tartar sauce. Drove back. Gave me Mac and cheese and utensils. Still no tartar sauce. Again. Around the drive through. Get home. I ordered and paid for 5 pieces of fish. I get home. I've got 2 pieces of fish and 3 shrimps. Here we go again. This is cu covid. Only way is the drive up window. I've been 45 minutes and it's still wrong. Gave them another try. Not many choices on my end of town. Hoped they had gotten better. Placed my order. Spicy tenders. Side and drink. Got my order. Opened it up. Ok looked good at least had the right side. Got home. Sure enough. Not spicy, but regular. Checked the receipt. Shows spicy. You'll be in utter awe as you stare at the menu with all the offerings, and you'll order WAY too much, but will do it, with the little inner voice inside you saying "this stuff is even better warmed up the next day go ahead sweetheart just order the 50 piece that comes with gallon size sides" As your ordering the mother load your planning on how your gonna go home and call your friends and family to come over and enjoy it with you - but you KNOW your lying, you wont, even if your a giving person, you CANNOT bring yourself to share not even one piece. If you go through the drive thru MAKE SURE you ask for napkins or else you will be driving along, shamelessly gnawing on one of those delicious chicken legs while grease runs down your arm and drips from you elbow like manna flowing from the heavens!! This is a disappointment. What has happened to this restaurant? The chicken pieces are small and over cooked; they ran out of tenders on a Saturday evening; you have to pay extra for a piece of white meat; and the tea is basically colored water. I was recently in the big D visiting friends. My son loves chicken tenders so we stopped by to satisfy his craving. He had the 4 pc. tenders combo and loved it so much he begged us to go back once more before leaving town. We hit it on the way to the airport and this time, my husband and I got the roasted chicken. It was delicious. Service was great, place is clean and and the prices are very good for the quality. We need a Golden Chick in our part of the country so we can become regulars. Nice pretty new building, quick drive thru, cleaner facilities. HOWEVER, still couldn't manage to buy a filter for your water? I get it, the water in Weatherford is horrible, but I fail to understand why businesses can't invest in a filter??? If you're not going to buy a filter then a disclosure warning customers that the tea they are about to consume will taste like straight dirt would be appreciated. I don't mind paying the almost 1000% markup on tea that restaurants charge, however I would at least be able to enjoy my beverage that cost .22 to make yet cost 2.15 to buy. read more

Last night was the first time I've been to Golden Chick since they put up the new building. I was pretty excited because I've always liked their fried chicken and hoped the new place would live up to my expectations. They did not. I pulled up to the drive through and the young man on the mic asked what I wanted to order. I asked him to give me a moment. When I was ready, he apparently wasn't ready for me. He came back with an open mic and I could hear laughter in the background, then he asked me "what". I again said I was ready. He then had an open mic again, laughter in the background, then he called another employee by his name, "Colby". It was obvious that whatever was going on inside was distracting the guy from taking my very simple order. I ordered the 10 piece dark and asked for thighs only. Again, there was some kind of horseplay going because he didn't understand what I said and asked me to repeat my order. He told me it would be $10.81 and to pull up. Once I got there, I saw the young man who had taken my order. He still appeared to be preoccupied with another tall, thin young male employee. I gave him my money and pulled to the next window where I was greeted by a blonde female. As she was about to hand me the order, I asked if they had put all thighs in it. She said no but was glad to fix it. At this point I'm irritated but happy that she fixed the order. I got home and to my unhappiness, saw only 8 pieces of chicken and not the 10 I ordered and paid for. If 8 pieces was all I was supposed to get with an all thigh order, then someone should have said that. I'm not at all happy or impressed with the employees and will probably just go to Chicken Express in the future. read more

The employees do not get orders correct and the sweet tea taste horrible and taste like it is really old and sour. The only reason I am Giving this place is a one star is I can't give it a 0. Last night I stopped there for catfish. There was one car in the drive through one family eating and another lady waiting for food. A total of three people. I ordered a 3 piece catfish dinner and a chicken thigh. I was told it would be 7 min. I said OK. I looked in the back there was no chicken cooked counters were disgusting and instead of cooking and cleaning the guy running the drive thru was dancing flipping french fries in the air with the tongs and the other two were lost in space. The other two cam into the lobby to fill up the ice cream cones and the guy couldn't even hold the box up the girl had to do it. Finally got my food and drove home and low and behold I opened my box and there was my 1 1/2 pieces of catfish and cold okra at $8.50 and my chicken was raw. another 3 bucks. I live less then 1 mile away. Called the store and the girl that took my order answered she was the only one in there that didnt look like they were on drugs said I am sorry but we were super busy. I said there were 3 people there including me and I your workers weren't dancing around and throwing food in the air they would get things rite. Lesson learned DON'T EAT HERE!! Skimpy with the meals and soggy fries, I sent it back and they almost wouldn't take it, what a joke.

They can't ever get anything right. I ask for gravy with my fish so I can eat my roll with it. They always forget the gravy. Tonight I ask them if the gravy is in there to be sure she says yes. I get home and there's no damn roll. Like wtf. It's always my food that's messed up too. There was no one else there either so I know they weren't busy. I know it's something dumb to gripe about but it happens every time and is annoying. I don't pay good money to not get everything that comes with my food. The food also tasted old and nasty. read more
