We came here for the first time after hearing people talk it up for a while. I got the Southern Chicken Salad because that's what this is place is supposed to known for. It was pretty bland. A pinch of celery, 2-3 grape halves and 2 pieces of nut was all that was there. It was meh. Typical hospital cafeteria food. The bread was the best part. Ice machine was tagged "out" on a Saturday afternoon. Husband got the Turkey Ham Bacon Club and also commented that the bread was the best part. True, it's a sandwich shop. True... It's in an old building with one bathroom that was like a revolving door as people went in & out. Also true that I worked in Weatherford for damn near 20 years and I never came here till today. I had a pimento cheese on wheat bread and a cup of water, but IT WAS REALLY GOOD! I was a bit scared, because I only like the pimento cheese from the Central Market food bar, but now.... I'm a fan of Yesterday's. The bread - thick slices of dense homemade wheat bread - paired perfectly with the ever-so-slightly sweet and creamy pimento cheese. It was a match made in heaven.... Well... Weatherford. My wife and I stopped by Yesterdays Sandwich Shop around 3:25 PM, about 35 minutes before they closed at 4:00 PM. I ordered a ham sandwich and the soup of the day, which was baked potato-but unfortunately, they had already run out of the soup. The ham sandwich was very good-fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich and really enjoyed hers as well. Both sandwiches were tasty and well-prepared. The only downside was that it felt like we were being rushed to eat and leave. The two employees working were already busy with their closing duties while we were still dining, which made the experience feel a bit hurried. That said, we would still recommend Yesterdays Sandwich Shop if you're looking for a good, casual meal. The food is decent but the service is so poor. They seemed to be more focused on taking online orders than serving the customers in store. They had 7 people working and it took 30 min for them to make two sandwiches. There were two people in line before us and they also waited a very long time for simple orders. They had no sense of urgency. Finally, we asked about our order and they snapped at us that 'they were a little busy', while placing 3 more orders on the online pickup shelf. Came in on a Saturday about mid day. The place was packed. We approached the counter and I waited for a cue that the person behind the counter was ready for. No greeting, no hello. I think I heard what can I get you? The place was loud so I spoke directly to him loudly but he wasn't looking at me so I had yo repeat everything I said twice. I ordered the turkey, ham and bacon on wheat and a drink and hubs ordered the grilled cheese with chips and a drink. I had to give him half of my sandwich because the grilled cheese sadly, is not. It's cheese on bread. Place has a cute homey vibe. My sandwich was good. I'm not sure of the concept of the grilled cheese. I would go again. read more

Not quite my favorite sandwich type, I prefer a sub with a crusty hoagie roll, but this was A-OK. The bread used here, is, well bread, as in sliced bread. I had a BLT. My wife had turkey and avocado. Both were on the same, oddly sweet, bread. When I noticed the wifi password, "sourdough", I wondered if that was an option. We asked, and were told all the sandwiches are on sourdough. Wow, not what I was expecting. It was unlike any sourdough I have ever tried. I think it would go well with a chicken salad sandwich, but it didn't really work for ours. That being said, this is a cute place and we enjoyed our meal. They do a brisk lunchtime business, and having two people, at the counter, taking orders was a great idea. The line moved quickly and our sandwiches were delivered to our table. We did also buy a pumpkin cinnamon roll, but we didn't really get the pumpkin. Bottom line: Definitely worth a try. read more

First of all, would normally give them 5+ stars. All of their food is delicious and tastes homemade. Great small town ambiance, always clean. However, the last two times we have been, the portion of chicken salad has gotten smaller and smaller. My husband and I noticed it simultaneously. I could get the full amount of chicken salad on my sandwich into 2 1/2 of their plastic teaspoons, no exaggeration. At minimum, cover all the bread with it, please! Their prices aren't crazy high, but not cheap either to have such a skimpy portion. Hoping it is just a new "scooper" in the kitchen. read more

I came here looking for a quick sandwich before heading back on the road. The deli was very rustic and had that hometown feel. I ordered the club sandwich which was great. The breads were freshly baked and amazing. After the sandwich I was in search for a treat for myself. With it being Fall they offered various Fall treats. One of these happened to be a Pumpkin Cobbler. Having never had or heard of one I needed to fix my interest. This was the best decision that I could have made. The cobbler was absolutely incredible had it been appropriate to lick the bowl clean I would have. I am hoping to make it back again soon this time I will get the cobbler first! read more

We were disappointed in the chicken salad and the pimento cheese, they both tasted like they came out of a tub purchased at Walmart or Sam's. They are served on a thick white bread, probably texas toast loaf. The brownie wasn't much better, sickly sweet and highly processed taste. Came in today after doing some antique shopping. I saw the reviews and decided to stop in. Decided on the brown bag special (sandwich, chips and a scoop of ice cream). I went with their Turkey Bacon Avocado and made it spicy. I must say I was a little hesitant to make it spicy because they didn't advertise what would make is spicy... but I dared. When the sandwich came out, I was excited! The sourdough bread was soft yet had toasty edges. The ratio to Turkey, avocado, mayo and jalapeños (that's was the "spicy" part) was excellent. It went well with my peach tea and salt & vinegar chips. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was due to lack of attention to detail. After I placed my order I sat my chips down and headed back up to get a cup for my drink. I waited for a while until someone even saw me or acknowledged me. One of the employees even came up to the register and said nothing to me. I was a little disappointed, I suppose that's what happens when you have a younger staff. Sadly missing a star because it was canned chicken ... it was good though. My BF had chili and said was very good as well. Additionally... they were super crowded and it took forever for our food. I've been wanting to try this place for over a month since we moved here, but it always seems to be closed when I have time. I made sure we came in today while it was open and..... OH MY GOD this is the best bread I've ever had. I'm still sitting here in the restaurant, and relishing the taste of the sandwich. The sandwich was nothing special - I ordered the club - but the bread was heavenly. It really made the sandwich divine. It was the regular sourdough bread, but toasted perfectly with golden-brown edges, soft and buttery in the middle, with a hint of sweetness. I had to ask, and they do bake their own bread in-store. I can't believe something this good exists in this little street corner shop, but please, do yourself a favor and try it. You won't be disappointed. It was delicious! The portion was gigantic! It reminded me of the portions I got from my local deli in New Jersey. SO good. I only have one complaint, and that is that no one wore a mask.
