My wife and I stopped by Yesterdays Sandwich Shop around 3:25 PM, about 35 minutes before they closed at 4:00 PM. I ordered a ham sandwich and the soup of the day, which was baked potato-but unfortunately, they had already run out of the soup. The ham sandwich was very good-fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich and really enjoyed hers as well. Both sandwiches were tasty and well-prepared. The only downside was that it felt like we were being rushed to eat and leave. The two employees working were already busy with their closing duties while we were still dining, which made the experience feel a bit hurried. That said, we would still recommend Yesterdays Sandwich Shop if you're looking for a good, casual meal. Just try to get there well before closing time to enjoy a more relaxed visit and full menu options.

It's been years since I had been to yesterdays and I was so excited. The food was just as amazing as I remember. The peach tea is sooo good. The bread is delicious! The peach cobbler is amazing. The lady taking our order was a bit rude and the location is much much smaller than I remember.

Cute small dining area in the back.

Came in on a Saturday about mid day. The place was packed. We approached the counter and I waited for a cue that the person behind the counter was ready for. No greeting, no hello. I think I heard what can I get you? The place was loud so I spoke directly to him loudly but he wasn't looking at me so I had yo repeat everything I said twice. I ordered the turkey, ham and bacon on wheat and a drink and hubs ordered the grilled cheese with chips and a drink. I had to give him half of my sandwich because the grilled cheese sadly, is not. It's cheese on bread. Place has a cute homey vibe. My sandwich was good. I'm not sure of the concept of the grilled cheese. I would go again.

Not quite my favorite sandwich type, I prefer a sub with a crusty hoagie roll, but this was A-OK. The bread used here, is, well bread, as in sliced bread. I had a BLT. My wife had turkey and avocado. Both were on the same, oddly sweet, bread. When I noticed the wifi password, "sourdough", I wondered if that was an option. We asked, and were told all the sandwiches are on sourdough. Wow, not what I was expecting. It was unlike any sourdough I have ever tried. I think it would go well with a chicken salad sandwich, but it didn't really work for ours. That being said, this is a cute place and we enjoyed our meal. They do a brisk lunchtime business, and having two people, at the counter, taking orders was a great idea. The line moved quickly and our sandwiches were delivered to our table. We did also buy a pumpkin cinnamon roll, but we didn't really get the pumpkin. Bottom line: Definitely worth a try.

This place is okay. The bread is good but just super thick on the sandwiches and not much filling in between of the meat, tomato, lettuce. The soup and the pasta salad are both mediocre. Probably won't be back

Possibly the best sandwich I've had in my life. Definitely get it on focaccia bread, it levels it up. The service is so friendly as well

My family and I have been eating at the butcher shop for a little over a year, pretty much weekly. It's our go to spot. We take our friends and family here anytime we want to treat them to a tasty meal! I have tried most of the items on the menu and truly have never been disappointed. For the longest time, the burger was my go to choice and the patty melt was my husband's go to. Both delicious! But our absolute favorite meal here lately is the brisket sandwich, a Thursday special, and I hate to even share this because I don't want them to sell out of it before we make it there on Thursday nights. It is SO tasty. The brisket is nice and juicy, and the sourdough bun makes for the perfect combination. You can't go wrong with the side you choose - French fries delicious, onion rings delicious, chips - you guessed it, also delicious. Kids meals - the grilled cheese is good, the chicken tenders are top notch. My husband and I often steal a bite of our kids' chicken fingers and every single time we say, "man these are good". Other meals I have tried that are delicious- chicken salad sandwich, hot ham and cheese, beef stew (so good!!!). Appetizers - Texas toothpicks are a must! And if talking about how good their food is wasn't enough to make you plan your next meal here... the staff are so incredibly kind. We love them! My husband and I truly love this restaurant and love everything we've tried. Try it out, but don't eat all the brisket!!

Whistle Hill's Café - Downtown (Weatherford)…read more It was a friendly atmosphere and tasty breakfast. I came here with family to enjoy southern hospitality food and that we did. We ordered their daily special and an omelette. Both dishes tasted great from scratch, with fresh ingredients and generous portions. From the outside, it looks small with light colors brick painted. Once you step inside, you can tell they were creative and made good use of the space. Inside was my favorite. Western theme throughout. At the front entrance, where on each side windows looked like used to be storefront windows, they made them into seating cubbyholes. If you look to the right, I loved seeing brick pop out and large letters, "WEATHERFORD," written on the wall, with pictures below it. In the very back wall they had a wall-sized mural of Texas flag. Very nice touches throughout the place. You have good options for seating, with twenty-plus tables and forty-plus chairs. The staff were friendly and helpful with drink and food options. If you're looking for good Texas hospitality atmosphere, I'd recommend stopping by.
