Been coming here for several years now and have always been very satisfied with each visit. Very clean on the inside, staff is always quick with picking up plates or a mess left by people. Saw the sign on the corner and we'd found our place for lunch. Now I'm always a bit sketch... Surprisingly new, clean, and apportioned with a good selection of Chinese and American foods. Pay as you enter Styrofoam plats & cup, plastic utensils, chop sticks too. Start with lettuce, and raw vegetables there is seasonal fruit melon. Some sushi roll, Ca roll, shell on shrimp & cray fish. looks good abit small in portion but plentyful Soda, Iced tea, water...a good selection of hot meats, chicken, mystery fish, mushrooms, broccoli etc...and chow mein noodles and two types of rice. Further down the line you'll find sliced pizza, chicken nuggets, fish sticks pot stickers, pot stickers. This is not a high quality foods but its all very fresh. today 12/2/2025 I and my friend came to eat here in Delano California I had got several egg rolls and one of them had a big hair in it. the manager told me that it might be plastic from the plate but I explained to him that it came out of the egg roll when I bit into it. he made every excuse he could to down play it. I was disgusted and did not want to eat anything else. the manager did not even try to refund my portion of the cost. he just kept making excuses. I will never eat here again. read more

The manger here is rude!!! We went to eat there was 4 for us but my grandma didn't wanna eat but she wanted to seat with us.. He agreed to change us for 3 plates and 4 drinks.. After we finished and we about to leave he supposedly "seen" my grandma have a bit of our food and wanted to change me for a whole another plate for her!! But he didn't come tell me he had his employee come I told the employee he can come over and tell me but she came back and said the same thing! I've been to this buffet so many times now and I can't believe I've never reviewed this place. Last year my family and I was coming at least once a month to get together for lunch/dinner. This is one of Delano's only buffet that I can think of other than Kong's Dynasty, so having a buffet here that's cheap and has a pretty good amount of food selection then this definitely will be the choice for a lot of people here. The place itself isn't the best top notch condition in cleanliness; however any occasional spills or mess the workers will clean up. After watching all the people grab food after each other, I suddenly get this weak feel in my stomach. Everyone touching the serving spoons one after the other not knowing who washes their hands and just the thought of... if they care or not has really made me weak. I think I would feel at ease if I saw the workers clean the serving spoon's handles frequently or if they changed them out ever so often, but I watched and it doesn't happen.... maybe even a hand sanitizer station? It's funny how I say I won't come back, but this is where my family wants to go at times and if my mom chooses this place then we end up here haha. They have a good selection of different types of food items and the servers are pretty good about refilling your drinks. I was initially excited when the worker brought out a new batch of broccoli beef and their chicken mushrooms dish but as I scooped some on my plate and taste it as I sat down I was super annoyed. Came to Golden China Buffet for a reception. The restaurant can fit quite a bit of folks, and there is plenty of parking. The staff did a good job of keeping the entrees full and fresh. They also did a good job of cleaning after us hungry reception folks. Foodwise, the stuff I tried was mostly fine. They have most of the usual suspects one would expect to find at any Chinese Buffet. Nothing stood out, but we were all pleased with Golden China Buffet. read more

We celebrated a graduation party there. Customer service was amazing. Establishment was spacious and clean. The atmosphere was awesome and the staffing was professional and friendly. The buffet has a good mixtures of American and Asian cuisine. You can also make your ice cream from the machine. Lots of parking. Highly recommended for the price. read more

It is what it is.... I guess the bad thing is I've lived in Vegas for over 10 years and they have a ton of China buffets there. This restaurant wasn't that very exciting. They did have the same food as the ones in Vegas but it don't taste nor look the same. I would have gave it 1 star but they did have a chocolate fondue machine. That was a cool feature but only had marshmallow to dip. I mean it's not bad for $10 (you pay for what you get) I had to try it because it was something new in Delano. The outside does not reflect the interior. In my opinion, the outside of the building looks slightly rundown; however, the inside looks elegant. This provides a nice atmosphere and nice eating experience. I did not like every single thing they had, but I didn't expect to. I enjoyed almost everything and I appreciated that the food was readily restocked. The food is pretty good. The service is also good. But when I first came inside the buffet. The front counter guy was giving my family an attitude and we didn't like how he was acting. The food was going pretty good so far and I was considering to give a good review to this place for there food choices that aren't bad at all. Except there was one problem with this place that frustrated not just me but one of my aunts that caught one of the workers in the act. Which was that one of the workers dropped a calamari to the floor. In shock my aunt argued with the worker because of his floor picker type behavior. Then when she came back to our table the manager came to talk to her about what happened and tried to compromise what just happened but she wasn't buying it and I don't blame her. This place must have something to do with this. I know this might seem like a minor mistake but it is unsanitary and someone with common sense would know better. If one worker could do something like this then it's expected that someone else could also not care. I hope this issue has been delt with sooner or later. Came after running errands with my mom. If you've lived in Delano for awhile you would know this was the location of Rocky's Pizza. It looked like they tore down the building and rebuilt. When we came it was lunch hour. Price was about $8 and the restaurant was pretty empty. The first thing you notice is you pass the dessert table and the chocolate fountain (not covered) on your way to being seated. At one point we saw a kid dip a marshmallow in the chocolate, lick it, and redip. Food is what you expect, occasionally good dishes and some overcooked. The food is a hit and miss. They have their good and bad days. If you go during the weekdays during lunch, you're likely to get all the food that you want. However, there is no seafood during the lunch period. They aren't busy during lunch so you can come here with a group of people and be seated right away. Weekends are busy. I get dragged to this place everytime I visit my grandparents. I absolutely hate buffets...the food is mediocre, unsupervised kids pick at the food, basically they gross me out. Buuut...I can tolerate this place. The food is on par with a typical Chinese buffet and there's a pretty good variety. Lunch prices are affordable at around $7 per adult. They have a small "sushi" bar with around 10 different choices. Obviously they are not a sushi restaurant nor do they charge sushi restaurant prices so the ingredients used aren't of high quality if authentic at all. However for my children who love sushi and don't know any better, its the greatest ever. There is a fruit bar area, a chocolate fountain (I bring cream puffs over from the dessert area to dip), seafood, basic American items (i.e. pizza, chicken nuggets, etc), soft serve and of course, Chinese food. I've never experienced a lack of food and customers seem to trickle in steadily enough that the food is always at a good temperature. I have yet to see any kids being gross but I feel like the sneeze guards provide a pretty decent amount of coverage for the food. I have had dirty utensils and cups a few times but those were quickly replaced as soon as I asked. Overall, this isn't a bad place. If you're in town and have to go to a Chinese buffet I would recommend this place. read more

Okay, I know I haven't been in Delano for a loooong time, but. I don't think they ever had a "good" buffet until this place. Thank goodness for this buffet place opening. No need to drive to bakersfeild now. They have a good amount of food. Your typical chinese restaurant. Everyone has there own opinion on places. I say, just try this place out and you can review it yourself. They have, sushi. Obviously not the best, but it will suffice. The crab in the sushi you can tell is imitation crab, still cold. The salmon nigiri tho, is the only one I'll eat. Taste pretty fresh. They have a chocolate fondue area, only Marshmellows tho no strawberries :( but I guess it's good for kids. They have a good amount of food maybe 3 islands with different foods, and then a long table with your seafood, and desserts. Delano is definitely growing! Although it was sad to see the old Rocky's pizzeria (which was our fav pizza place) go, it was nice that it was replaced with an impressive Chinese Buffet. On the few occasions that I've dined here, I was very pleased with the nice clean environment, great customer service & of course the abundance of flavorful food that would appease any palate. I was surprised that they also served pizza & fries which quickly brought smiles to my kids faces. Whenever my family and I try new places to eat, we vote with thumbs up (will definitely return) or thumbs down (never coming back) & of course we all gave it a big thumbs up! Just like every Chinese buffet in the world. Fast, somewhat friendly service and CHEAP! No one ever goes to these types of places for high quality food but to fulfill their gluttonous side. This place gets packed on the weekends but they get you in fairly quick. It's just like any other Chinese buffet in Bakersfield so I'm not complaining. Crab legs are a hit or miss, you either get fresh crab or crab that tastes weird/old. The coconut shrimp is only served dinner time. The trays are always filled whenever I go. I would recommend coming dinner time so you have more of a selection. read more
