With this brewery, I wanna focus on the layout. They have a nice big outside area. Some of it covered some knot and even though it was colder, you could see where they would set up kegs come summertime with this would be a daily rage for day drinkers... Lol.. everybody here was very friendly and it was a really cool vibe. With that being said the beers I tried were not as wonderful as I would hope they would be. After going to another brewery before here that might be a little bit of a biased opinion, but overall, this is a fun place to come check out and have a good time.

The beer was good, but asking for a sample seemed like I was inconveniencing the staff. The annoyance can be felt from across the room lol. The outside was nice though, and much cooler than the inside seating haha. I'd probably only stop by again real quick before the creek but wouldn't stay longer than that.

We loved the vibes here but my husband and his friend didn't love the beer. I was able to enjoy a root beer soda while we sat outside under a shade tree. The guys working in here were really nice and the outdoor area was a lot of fun. There is lots of shade and a partially enclosed area for colder months. Check it out if you enjoy tasting local flavors!

Love coming here for a beer!! The setting is so nice - love the neighborhood, casual vibes. Also - didn't know they had pitchers?! Our group got a pitcher of the Dragonfrucht sour, which was delicious albeit a bit tart. Great for a perfect summer night. We grabbed an outdoor table and played cards and got to people and dog watch. Next time, want to check out the patio further on the corner near the brick building. Such great outdoor seating. There's also a German (?) food truck - haven't tried it yet but will one day. ALSO, discount on beers if you pay with cash! Love this neighborhood spot.

GCB is pretty solid, especially for a smaller brewery. They expanded during the pandemic, a fabulous surprise when we recently visited again. I'd say they maybe tripled their seating area and have lots of cool areas and spaces outdoors to sit down, lounge and enjoy your craft beer with friends. I always appreciate breweries that offer sours, so thank you, GCB. And, this sour was a twist on their porter - I'm not sure I've had a sour porter before. Sounds a bit off but tasted wonderful. What a great way to round out our time in Golden.

One the best breweries I have been to, so far. Colorado has several, but the staff is top notch, knowledgeable, and inviting. The atmosphere is laid back and on a good day, not busy so you can choose where to sit. Under the tree is lovely, quiet enough to have conversation, entertaining music, and good options for a snack! LOVE

Great beer and great service. I had the clear creek kolsh. Delicious! My wife had the non alcoholic Octoberfest. All good here come by if you are in town.

A few brews we tried! Pink Guava and not sure of the other two but they were all yummy.

Visited Colorado last month and found Golden City Brewery. Yummy brews! Cute patio area, with lots of dogs around which I loved. Snacks were okay, the large pretzel was a little hard but the dip was yummy. Definitely would come back for a drink!

Fantastic little beer garden in Golden! It's a bit off the beaten path but well worth it. We enjoyed our pretzel and a few beers. Super friendly staff and lots of seating to choose from. The beer was delicious and a nice treat after a long hike up Lookout Mountain. Get here, try it out!

Such a cute neighborhood spot with lots of character. The beers we got were delicious and they have a nice, heated patio with plenty of seating. The staff was very attentive and welcoming!

TRUE LOVE TACOS…read more I went to True Love Tacos expecting tacos. What I received was a reminder that food can still make you believe in something. I had recently eaten at Oliver's Italian, which I can only describe as an experience that made me question several fundamental assumptions about civilization. The meal wasn't merely disappointing. It was the kind of meal where you leave the restaurant and immediately begin mentally reconstructing every decision that led you there. Then I ate at True Love Tacos. And suddenly, I understood forgiveness. These tacos are ridiculous. The tortillas have that perfect combination of warmth, char, and structural integrity that makes you wonder why we ever bothered inventing plates. The meat is seasoned like somebody actually gave a shit. The toppings aren't there merely to provide color--they're participating. Every bite has something going on. Crunch. Fat. Acid. Heat. Char. Freshness. It's almost rude. At Oliver's, I spent the meal wondering when it would end. At True Love Tacos, I spent the meal wondering how quickly I could order another taco without making it obvious that I had completely lost control. The difference was profound. Oliver's made me feel like I had paid money to attend a meeting. True Love Tacos made me feel like I'd been invited to a party. And perhaps that's what great food is supposed to do. You shouldn't need to intellectually justify it. You shouldn't need to discuss the chef's vision over a $17 appetizer. You should take a bite and think: "Oh. Fuck. That's good." True Love Tacos accomplishes this repeatedly. By taco number four, I had stopped taking notes. By taco number five, I had stopped speaking. By taco number six, I was no longer a food reviewer. I was simply a man standing before greatness. True Love Tacos: 9.8/10 Oliver's Italian: I would like to formally apologize to the tacos for comparing them. If Oliver's was the meal that made me question whether I understood Italian food, True Love Tacos was the meal that reminded me I understand food. Come hungry. Come humble. And for the love of God, don't eat at Oliver's immediately beforehand. You don't want the tacos spending the rest of the evening cleaning up someone else's mess.

We looked at the menu right in front of the cash register and liked the description of the Chupacabra burrito ("pasture raised eggs, crispy hash browns, house-made green chile, all-natural chorizo, all-natural sausage, nitrate-free bacon, cheddar cheese, and chipotle crema"). My wife and I each ordered a Chupacabra to go. We drove out to a mountain park to have our burritos, and were disappointed when we bit into them. It definitely wasn't what was described. It was a very soggy consistency, and was filled with some type of red sauce, a bit of rice, a lot of beans, and a couple of chunks of meat. I checked the bag and receipt to verify that we ordered the correct burritos, and it appeared that we had. Getting the wrong order was pretty disappointing, particularly for an expensive carryout burrito ($15/each - okay, stuff is expensive these days, so that wasn't a deal breaker). I also understand that mistakes happen, so I wasn't totally done with Bonfire at this point, because I understand that no system involving people will ever be perfect. My wife called the location to tell them that we received the wrong order. We were about twenty minutes away at this point, but wanted them to know that we didn't get what we paid for. The guy who picked up the phone was really abrupt, and told us that we got the "lunch Chupacabra". Evidently this place uses the same name for two different burritos (there's both a breakfast and lunch Chupacabra). Ignoring the fact that it's strange to have essentially the same name for two different burritos, what we received wasn't the breakfast or lunch Chupacabra burrito, and the guy on the phone couldn't even be bothered to say "sorry for the mistake". After we got home I looked at the menu, and it appears that we were both given something that looked to be the "L-Javelina" burrito (not one I would have ever ordered, honestly). Ultimately this place seemed to have a lot of potential, and I was excited to try the burrito I had actually ordered. But, honestly, I don't see myself going back. Mistakes happen, but receiving rude service in response to politely informing the restaurant that we were given the wrong burritos really turned me off to this spot. It does seem baffling to me that they have two different burritos with the same name, but what we ordered was definitely the breakfast version, as it was the one shown on the screen we read before ordering. Despite what we were told by the rude employee on the phone, what we received was neither the breakfast or lunch version, and the service we received after that error is ultimately what left the worst taste in our mouths.
