Stopped by on our way into the mountains for a quick lunch. Huge drink menu - something for everyone. I tried the Key Lime Pie Creamsicle Blonde Ale and it was very refreshing on this hot day. We also ordered the Nips - OG & Buffalo Chicken and they were delicious. Great location off i70, lots of seating and a menu for everyone. I want to come back and try the wine slushy. Laid back location with a great view of the sunset. We went twice while we visited. Really nice staff. Menu has a little of everything. The first night we tried both pizza rolls ... the portion is super large and more than enough for the table. The OG and the Kalhua pork rolls were super unique and tasty. The chicken rice bowl was small but enough for a dinner. I added the spicy peanut sauce ... Definitely recommend. The ahi bowl was a little bland. The Italian sandwich was a great blend of meats and veggies. Large as well. We tried a few beers of which the fav was the V2. Head here for friendly people, good beer and good pizza rolls. Very nice people working here. Key lime beer was our top pic after a nice hike at Red Rocks. Ahi bowl and the 2 kinds of pizza rolls (pizza and buffalo chicken) were the stars of our food choices. Sandwiches were ok, just a little bland which was surprising after reading the descriptions. Decent place if this is your side of town. Limited seating inside and on the covered patio so if it's a rainy Colorado afternoon you might be standing. Friendly staff and a decent selection of beers and wine slushes are pretty cool. The ice cream sandwiches were an excellent treat the day we went! Wow, what have I been missing. I have driven past this place a number of times but never stopped...until this time. Great spot right off the main road with great outdoor seating. They serve wine, beer, and Old Fashions. I went with the Old Fashion as it had a charred oak piece of wood in the container fermenting. It was great! A couple points off for not having the single ice cube, but it didn't stop me from ordering a second one. They also have apps and food options, tacos, some dohwheel, which I didn't truffle but maybe next time. read more

Not sure why we haven't been to Barrels & Bottles sooner. Loved it. So many things to highlight about them. First up, there are lots of areas to hand out and connect with your peeps here. Bring 'em all. We choose to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and breeze. There are patio umbrellas scattered throughout of you need some shade with your sunshine. They have some great indoor seating also and more seating outdoors but covered. My fav thing about Barrels and Bottles? As the name suggests, the there is literally something here for everyone. And many choices for most folks. For me, I'm especially appreciative of the several sour beer options and def my favorite - the wine slushees. Pro tip: ask for a wine slushee mix! I liked the 70/30 red to white option. And the food? They have a legit kitchen here and everything we had was tasty. Not your average brewery / bar fare either. Their food is inspired by their Hawaiian heritage - hurry, though, as food is available in limited quantities. read more

I visited Barrels & Bottles for the first time recently and thought it was a fun place! Located a few minutes outside Downtown Golden, the place is pretty big and has a big patio in addition to the outdoor seating. On a nice day, especially on a Friday or weekend, the parking lot can really fill up. There is some street parking nearby, but you may have to walk a block or two from the nearby neighborhood (we didn't mind). They have a great selection on tap, and I really enjoyed the Orange Creamsicle Blonde Ale. There's a great variety of both beers and wines, so there's something for every taste. They have some fun drinks on the menu too like wine plushies, which would be nice for a hot day and sitting on the patio. We didn't order any food, though the food menu looked really good and I would love to return and try some. If you're looking for a fun outdoor patio on a nice day or a place with a great tap list, definitely check this place out! read more

A great brewery to experience some of the better beers around. The food was good, a large salad with lots of fun things in it. When we first got there, it was not very noisy and we were able to hear each other pretty well, but as the evening went on, it did fill up definitely would recommend and will return. read more

This is such a fun hangout to come to and enjoy drinks. I have been to the one in downtown Golden as well, but I like the atmosphere of this one slightly better and it is just 2 blocks from my work. The staff are always welcoming and great at describing the different drinks as well as suggesting what to get when you just can't decide. My favorite drink to get, especially in the summer, is the wine slushies. You can get all red, all white, or a swirl combo of both! They are sweet, fruity, and frosty! They have lots of tables that are great for groups of people, plus on some nights they have live music. The food here looks and smells amazing! The reviews in Yelp had us looking forward to trying this place out. The orange creamsicle and the red wine slushie were tasty! I have never had a wine slushie so I enjoyed it. We were hungry so we decided to get some food. I normally don't like to get food at a brewery because it can be a hit or miss. The reviews on Yelp looked pretty good so we decided to give it a try. The food looked great when we were served, my husband got the kalua pork plate and I got the ahi poke bowl. The pork had no flavor and was very dry, the macaroni was room temperature like if it had been sitting out. My tuna was very fishy and did not taste great at all. The rice on both plates tasted like they just made instant rice. We are usually not very picky and try to find the positives. We were hungry since breakfast so we ate 1/3 of our plates but eventually stopped eating because it was not enjoyable. When a staff member picked up our plates it was obvious we didn't even eat half and she did not ask how it was because it might have been obvious since we did not finish even half. The ambiance was great though, live music and the staff member who took our order was lovely. After this experience I will not find myself suggesting friends who are visiting the area to grab food here. The ambiance and drinks great but the food not so much. read more

I've been going to the Barrels & Bottles in downtown Golden for over three years now, ONLY for their wine slushy, which is fantastic! Many, many hot summer days and nothing tastes better! Never ever left disappointed. Went to the only B & B location open now on a hot summer Friday evening at 6:00pm and the wine slushy machine 'had been over worked' and we were told to wait 20 minutes. Waited 20...then 20 more minutes and finally left after 45 disappointing minutes with no wine slushy. Still an 'over worked machine'. NEVER happened at the other place. Will be going to the other brewery in Arvada that makes fantastic wine slushies. Colorado Tap House. Know your customer and you should have brought the other wine slushy machine from your old place. What a great addition to Camp George West, I just happened to stumble across this new Barrels & Bottles location. Wow, what a find... this might become my new hideout. They have it all... beer on tap, wine on tap, good food, outside seating. I was in a bit of a hurry but couldn't pass this place up without stopping in to check it out. They literally have something for everyone. Hoppy, Sour, Fruity, Pale, Brown or Red they have you covered. Their outdoor seating area is quite large and Covid friendly. Service was a dream and all the staff seemed happy and friendly. I didn't partake, but I hear they make a mean wine slushie! You can believe I'll be back when I can sample their wine flight. read more

I hosted a work event here. The owner was SO helpful and made everything so much easier. I have hosted many work events, but this was by far the smoothest one. The staff was excellent and so helpful. The food was delicious. We had dough nips (all flavors), edamame and salads. I had around 20 people and they each had 2 drinks. Everyone was extremely happy with this event and we will definitely plan another one here. For the beers I had, I did the Orange Creamsicle and the Hef. Both were very good! This is my new favorite brewery (and if they were open for lunch, I'd have lunch there often. It's right around the corner from my office.) read more
