Laid back location with a great view of the sunset. We went twice while we visited. Really nice staff. Menu has a little of everything. The first night we tried both pizza rolls ... the portion is super large and more than enough for the table. The OG and the Kalhua pork rolls were super unique and tasty. The chicken rice bowl was small but enough for a dinner. I added the spicy peanut sauce ... Definitely recommend. The ahi bowl was a little bland. The Italian sandwich was a great blend of meats and veggies. Large as well. We tried a few beers of which the fav was the V2. I tried the old fashioned but wanted more bourbon and less syrup.

Decent place if this is your side of town. Limited seating inside and on the covered patio so if it's a rainy Colorado afternoon you might be standing. Friendly staff and a decent selection of beers and wine slushes are pretty cool. The ice cream sandwiches were an excellent treat the day we went! It did rain on us some the day we went and we live clear across town so it was a bummer. If this is your side of town definitely hit them us.

Barrels & Bottles is a beautiful space with a great vibe. The day we were there was a sunny day, everything was open indoor and a lot of space outdoors and live music was playing. The guy was super funny like a comedian too. Great food and beer. Thank you.

Wow, what have I been missing. I have driven past this place a number of times but never stopped...until this time. Great spot right off the main road with great outdoor seating. They serve wine, beer, and Old Fashions. I went with the Old Fashion as it had a charred oak piece of wood in the container fermenting. It was great! A couple points off for not having the single ice cube, but it didn't stop me from ordering a second one. They also have apps and food options, tacos, some dohwheel, which I didn't truffle but maybe next time.

I visited Barrels & Bottles for the first time recently and thought it was a fun place! Located a few minutes outside Downtown Golden, the place is pretty big and has a big patio in addition to the outdoor seating. On a nice day, especially on a Friday or weekend, the parking lot can really fill up. There is some street parking nearby, but you may have to walk a block or two from the nearby neighborhood (we didn't mind). They have a great selection on tap, and I really enjoyed the Orange Creamsicle Blonde Ale. There's a great variety of both beers and wines, so there's something for every taste. They have some fun drinks on the menu too like wine plushies, which would be nice for a hot day and sitting on the patio. We didn't order any food, though the food menu looked really good and I would love to return and try some. If you're looking for a fun outdoor patio on a nice day or a place with a great tap list, definitely check this place out!

Ahí poke bowl looked good but was disappointing.

The reviews in Yelp had us looking forward to trying this place out. The orange creamsicle and the red wine slushie were tasty! I have never had a wine slushie so I enjoyed it. We were hungry so we decided to get some food. I normally don't like to get food at a brewery because it can be a hit or miss. The reviews on Yelp looked pretty good so we decided to give it a try. The food looked great when we were served, my husband got the kalua pork plate and I got the ahi poke bowl. The pork had no flavor and was very dry, the macaroni was room temperature like if it had been sitting out. My tuna was very fishy and did not taste great at all. The rice on both plates tasted like they just made instant rice. We are usually not very picky and try to find the positives. We were hungry since breakfast so we ate 1/3 of our plates but eventually stopped eating because it was not enjoyable. When a staff member picked up our plates it was obvious we didn't even eat half and she did not ask how it was because it might have been obvious since we did not finish even half. The ambiance was great though, live music and the staff member who took our order was lovely. After this experience I will not find myself suggesting friends who are visiting the area to grab food here. The ambiance and drinks great but the food not so much.

I opted for the Chateau Ste. Michelle Sauvignon Blanc from the Horse Heaven Vineyard, and it was lovely. It was very refreshing with light citrus notes that weren't overpowering and a really nice body overall. I also have to give a shout-out to the staff for the presentation; the glassware was crystal clear and spotless, which always makes the drink taste a little better. The atmosphere is perfectly casual, with TVs playing the NFL playoffs (and presumably other sports), making it a relaxed spot to hang out without being too "stuffy." We dove into their large food menu and started with the fried pickles and the spinach artichoke dip served with veggies, both of which were delicious. The service was friendly and jovial throughout the visit, which made us feel right at home. The only reason I'm knocking off one star is that we had a small lapse in service where we had to ask a second time for lemons for a glass of water, but the staff was so pleasant that it was a minor blip in an otherwise excellent visit. I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of that wine list!

The vibe is classic cozy steakhouse--dim lighting, comfortable booths, good for a casual night out. We kicked off with the shrimp cocktail, which was good: decent-sized chilled shrimp with a tangy cocktail sauce. Asked for extra raw horseradish to really make it pop! The new bread offering was much better. Super-soft sweet rolls were an upgrade over the previous offering. For mains, we tried the ribsteak (bone-in) and the sirloin with mushrooms and truffle from the Winter Grill menu. Both were cooked to our requested temps (medium-rare), juicy enough, and the grilling was competent with a nice char. The ribsteak came with sautéed mushrooms that added some nice flavor. The sirloin featured cremini and shiitake mushrooms in a creamy truffle sauce, which was rich and indulgent--the sauce was probably the best part of the plate. That said, the quality of the meat itself felt a bit questionable; it was tender but lacked the deep, beefy flavor or marbling you'd hope for at this price point. More disappointingly, there wasn't much discernible difference between the ribsteak and the sirloin in terms of taste or texture--both felt pretty similar, which made the higher-priced ribsteak seem less worth it. We finished with the Billy Miner Pie, a classic here: mocha ice cream on chocolate cookie crust, topped with hot fudge and caramel. It's rich and satisfying--definitely a highlight of the meal. Our server was friendly and efficient, no complaints there, and the place wasn't overly busy. Overall, it's a reliable chain steakhouse option if you're in the area--good enough for what it is, but the main reason we come here is proximity. Solid, but room for improvement on the star of the show: the steaks.

My husband and I went here to celebrate his birthday and Father's Day this afternoon. We were promptly seated without a reservation at one of the table on the patio to enjoy the fresh air. We started off with an order of garlic knots and Italian /chicken lettuce wraps. We asked about the honey dipping sauce and were told it was on a spicy side, so we skipped paying the extra $2 for it. However, our waitress wanted us to try it, so the honey was on the house. And, boy, that honey dip sauce was indeed very spicy! And the wraps? It was delicious! Fresh cherry tomatoes with diced chicken breast and bean plus seasonings. We loved the dish and finished everything on the plate except for the 3 sauces. We ordered our main entrees after finishing our appetizers. I had the Linguini & Clams, while my husband ordered the Rigatoni & Sausage. What a disappointment my Linguini & Clams dish was to me. The lack of flavor from one of my favorite dishes made me sad. I was looking forward to it. Adding hot pepper flakes, then black pepper, and the worst was adding salt. If this dish were to be prepared correctly, I would have been happy to eat it all. However, I gave up after adding my own spices. The Rigatoni & Sausage dish? OMG, out of this world! The red sauce with the meat sauce smothering the pasta was one of the best dishes I've ever tasted. I'd wished I ordered that dish, but at least I was able to try a couple of bites. When the bill came, our waitress said she took off the clam dish because I didn't like it. THIS, this! is how they gained a new customer! I'll come back and will give them my business. Thank you for treating this customer right and making sure my eating experience will be different the next time I dine here.

After entering the building, the hostess approached with a tepid "what's up." Our server acted like taking our order was a favor, and she was so eager to walk away I had to get her attention TWICE to finish ordering what I wanted (hey, can we also get an order of pepperoni rolls, HEY, can I also get an IPA). Zero attention paid to water and drinks that needed replenishing. The manager needs to pay more attention to the level of service and professionalism of the staff, a lot more. This may be why they tack on a mandatory 20% surcharge with a little lecture on the receipt about how it provides a living wage, because I doubt they'd ever get tips at that level with this style of service. Or maybe the service is that way because they don't feel any need to work for a gratuity. Under the circumstances, calling this a "hospitality" charge was just plain tacky. I didn't feel like there was any hospitality, certainly not enough to warrant a 20% fee.

They did separate checks for us and did a group gratuity that was most definitely deserved by their staff. We ordered two of their large Combination Boards for the group. These were beautifully put together. Others in our group tried some of the other appetizers. I was told the cheese balls with crackers and the meatballs were tasty. Another friend got a couple flat breads and enjoyed those. For wine, we chose to order a bottle of their Broadbent Vinho Verde Dry Rosé from Minho, Portugal. We ended up getting a second bottle, it was lovely. The birthday girl had a blast and we all enjoyed each other's company. Yes, next time I will make a solid reservation. This was hard to do because I did not have a solid count on who could come, but I will guestimate next time.
