I went to Double Deuce on July 10, 2018 As a first time patron. They did not have an on the spot opening so I scheduled an appointment for the next day. Sean took his time helping me print a picture of a dove I wanted on my wrist. He printed it 3 times until the size was perfect for me. Sean helped me with placement of my quarter size minimalist tattoo (my first) talking me through the best options. He was patient with me and I did not feel nervous or out of place at all. The process was only about 30 minutes in the chair and did not hurt or bleed much at all. The shop was clean and everyone was super friendly! I waited till I was 50 to get my first tattoo. I was trying to overcome some other issues by getting tattoos and so far it's been working. Everyone in the shop is fantastic, Scott, the owner has done a few of my tattoos and recently, Tooch has done a bunch. I have recommended them to everyone I know, if I bring in a picture of what I want, this gives them time to sketch it out and make sure it will fit where I want it. The shop is super clean and the guys are so sweet, takes your mind off getting the tattoo. Although I have to say I personally don't think that tattoos hurt but that's just me. I needed a tattoo covered up (name in a heart). Because the name was written in black ink my tattoo artist, Scott, initially thought the easiest fix would just be to fill in the heart with black. Seeing my distress because black is supposed to mean a cold heart, he decided to do shades of green in a jewel pattern. It is absolutely beautiful! I feel lucky to have found Double Deuce. My initial tattoo experience was very painful and this one wasn't at all. I'm not going to say it was "pain free" but I honestly couldn't believe the difference in the two experiences! read more

I've gone to Derick to do most of my tattoos. All of the artists at DD are excellent and professional, Derick just does more of my style. I wouldn't have returned so many times if I wouldn'trecommend the place. The atmosphere of the shop is very pleasant and clean. It's not your typical dark studio. You could take your mother there without her running in fear. The guys? They're hilarious when they aren't working. This is something I most love about double deuce. I have followed Derick for my tattoos for 3 years now. I love his work and will never go to another artist as long as he is still working. I love the fact that he is honest and will tell you if something doesn't look right or if he just can not do the work. The other guys that I have met in the shop are great as well. I got a tattoo from Paul. He was very pushy and not easy to work with. I ended up coming out with something completely different then when I went in for and twice as big. He kept saying to trust him and he wouldn't put anything on me that looked bad. He just filled in the colors on his own too. Terrible experience. I am currently saving up the 4k$ it will take to have it removed. Do not go to double deuce if you want a personal and comfortable experience. read more

After my appointment with my original artist fell through, Scott and team did a great job of making time for me and picking up where my original artist left off. I got an upper lobe piercing done by Tooch yesterday and it went great. I called around 5:20pm and he took me even though they close at 6 on Sunday afternoons. The artists there are so friendly and welcoming - something I find to be very rare in most tattoo shops! Tooch is a very sweet guy & took great care of me.
