First time at a Golden Corral and this was a great experience! Our server, Allison, was so genuinely nice. She made us feel so welcome! The food was delicious. The sirloin steak that was cooked to order was at the perfect temperature (we had medium rare) and perfectly seasoned! I highly recommend the lobster tail add on. It's so worth it! Best Golden Corral I've ever experienced all the food was great, I went on a Saturday around 5pm and all the staff were pleasant, and the place was spotless. My waitress was very attentive and I truly enjoyed all of my food. This past weekend me and the wife drove from Wichita Falls to eat the breakfast buffet. They closed the Golden Corral down in Wichita Falls. We were really happy to enjoy the breakfast buffet again. Everything we remember plus some. Service was great and friendly. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, hashbrowns, bisquits and gravy, & french toast. There was plenty of other stuff too! The good - I honestly can't come up with anything The bad - where to start? The meh - at least it was cheap I grew up on buffets and I still get a secret, trashy longing for them from time to time. This Golden Corral May have cured me of this craving forever. Admittedly I went in at 8 PM which is about 2 hours past the feeding trough frenzy of the dinner rush so I was expecting it to be a bit past prime. It's also GC so my expectations were appropriately lowered. Nothing prepared me for the desiccated food remains from which I found myself attempting to scavenge an edible meal. Not even the copious amounts of fat that every selection is infused with could preserve the dried and often unidentifiable food on the buffets. The pics attached are example of what I encountered. I understand that marketing photos are meant to represent a perfect moment for the food but I can guarantee you the sliders I photographed never came anywhere close to the juicy plump mini burgers on the table ad. Stay away. Stay far away. Oh, I thought of something good: I didn't get food poisoning. read more

Y'all, we all need to remember that, while we (patrons) do get our own food, our servers are still working for tips, and will even go get you food, rolls or a custom cooked steak to order. Please tip! You can even get cash back at the register when you pay! We love this place, and while the food, sometimes, is just having a bad day, we keep coming back for the service! As I've said before, I usually don't review chain restaurants, but in this case I had to comment. I've been to many Golden Corrals across the country and they are often hit-or-miss.... a couple were plain nasty. This one however is a gem! I don't know whether we just caught them on a good night, or this is standard but everything was outstanding. All the food choices were fresh and hot... although the carrot cake was a tad dry. Even the well-done steak was great. The staff were all helpful and very friendly. Kudos to our server, Zackary... he had multiple tables because the place was pretty packed at 4pm on a Saturday, but he was hustling and very courteous! read more

I like Golden Corral. I know it is a buffet that is overpriced with food that is hit and miss, but I normally always find something there that makes me happy. The one in Norman was usually good more than it was bad. My son loves Golden Corral. He is 9 and has gotten to where he can go and get his own food. He just developed a love of steak and has gotten to where he can go and order it exactly the way he likes it. He also loves corn on the cob, and Golden Corral usually has it. Now, that is where this one has a lot of problems. There is no telling what you are going to get on any certain visit. We went in once and there were no tortilla chips on the Mexican food line. We went in another time and there was no corn on the cob (which made my son sad) but then when we were leaving 45 minutes later they put some out. The most recent time we went in, the steak was almost always "10 more minutes" away and it wasn't even that busy. When I finally got a medium steak, it was charred. There were no dinner rolls almost any time I went up to visit. That is also a complaint. I love the rolls at Golden Corral but this one has the worst tasting rolls I have had at any of their establishments. A few visits ago, I needed to get a bill broken so I could tip and the cashier called the manager -- four times -- and he/she never showed up. At all. I couldn't tip and the manager didn't seem to care that a customer wanted to talk to them. Maybe they were scared someone wanted the food on the buffet they expected. read more

Came in at 8:29pm the food selection was disgusting. If you're going to serve food from the bottom of the barrel, then I expect to pay rock bottom prices. Went with family to eat while visiting. The buffet stayed fully stocked while there. The server could have been a little more attentive, me and a couple of others in our party had empty glasses for quite awhile, more than 10 minutes, while there. The only two good things I can say about this Golden Corral is it has an excellent wait staff and great dessert...other than that not really much. The rolls used to be so good but every time we go they're never cooked fully because they're chewy, tough and have the texture of rubber. Overpriced and the food really isn't that good. The steak is okay but you have to fight to get anything but a small portion. They are hoping you will fill up on the rest of the bland fillers. The ribs are always dry, old and taste terrible, not enough sauce to mask that nasty. The onion rings are normally cold and soggy. Basically a lot of bland and fried food. The desserts are good but sometimes they should have been replaced before they went stale. I have been going to them since the 90's and they have drastically declined in quality. I was sitting here at my table inside Golden Corral reading the comments about how expensive they are and all that jazz. Seriously people? You cant go to a fast food chain burger shop and get out the door for less than 10-11 bucks. This place is CLEAN, neat and well stocked. There was nothing i wanted they didnt have, from salads to deserts and everything in between. The staff, from the ladies at the register to Marquez, my server, to the Manager Kris who stopped by my table everyone was friendly and pleasant. I will be back here. The location was near the Great Plains Museum that we stopped at but the food wasn't that great. It was hot and there was variety. Fish & rice dish I tried was too salty. Seafood salad was dry, they ran out of the mini burgers, then the 2nd batch wasn't great. Everything was just okay. read more

I took my son and his girlfriend to Golden Corral this morning at 10:30. We expected mainly breakfast but knew there would be some lunch items that late in the morning. The receipt even said "breakfast buffet". Disappointingly there was a minute amount of breakfast items available at the time and what was there looked like it needed to be removed due to how unappealing it was. The majority of the lunch items were cold, if not altogether fully cooked! I had to stir around in the mac and cheese to even find a portion that looked ready to eat! Shame shame Golden Corral. When we were discussing how disappointed we all were right when we were getting ready to leave, my sons girlfriend pointed out that we had been overcharged by a "soda". I caught the attention of our wait staff and explained as well as showing the receipt and I politely explained that instead of going through the hassle of a refund could I just get a "soda" to go and we'd just call it even. Our wait staff said "sure, no problem." After waiting 10-15 minutes I left no tip and left without a "soda". I can say it'll be a very very long time before I go back! read more
