This restaurant is always clean and staff is pleasant and helpful. I have noticed the last few visits that quality of the food isn't as good as previously. Meat in entrees is getting harder to find. 1/2 of my general so's just hit the trash can. All doughy breading and no to tiny chicken. It's not worth the calories. It just doesn't taste that good and it certainly isn't a protein source either. read more

Hadn't been here in years, but to celebrate Chinese New Year in January, we decided to revisit. Now, let me just say that we have a Chinese restaurant in the neighborhood where we live, and one in the next town over. They've gone downhill; we don't even go to them anymore. This place is about a 15 min drive from our house. The extra miles is worth it. Here's why you should go: 1. Clean - One of the absolute cleanest Chinese restaurants I've ever been in. Cool-looking faux alligator skin seats. Plus they have one of those kitschy waving cats on the counter. Not a big sitting area - one table for 2, two tables for 4, and another table for 6-8. 2. Menu - The people I dined with noticed they have items on the menu that other local places don't. Lake Tung Ting Shrimp? Coconut Chicken? Are you kidding me? 3. Prices - On par with other local restaurants. 4. Staff - Easy going, pleasant, food came out quickly with all orders correct. We heard them laughing in the kitchen so you can tell they really enjoy what they're doing. Constant stream of takeout customers. 5. Food - Really very, very good. Fried dumplings (#9) were very good (when you fight over the last one, something must be not wrong). I had the Orange Flavor Chicken (#C3 - pictured); very good. I'm not a "sweet meat" kinda guy, but this had little flecks of red pepper that spiced it up a bit. And get this - it had actual glazed orange rind in it to lend towards its orange flavor. Who does that (but in a good way)? We also had the General Tso's Chicken (#C1) - also very good. But the star dish of the night was Black Pepper Chicken (#89). It didn't come as a combo dinner, but you get two plates - one is edge-to-edge piled high with the chicken and green peppers, the other is a plate of white rice. The fried rice tasted, well,...different. Maybe this is the way it's supposed to taste. It was not laden with a lot of sodium. As for the egg rolls, I'm not sure which ones we got; I'm assuming chicken? But they were pretty much your standard egg roll. My only complaint was that the two large pieces of broccoli I was given were on the cold side. Would I go back? Absolutely! I will drive the extra miles to go to a place with good Chinese food. read more

I was so excited to have a Chinese restaurant right down the street when we first moved here. We have it a few chances at first at weren't impressed, so we stopped going. 4 years later we tried again and let me say -- KUDOS TO YOU, GOLDEN DRAGON!! They have REALLY improved!! I have had their General Tso, Hot and Spicy Chicken, Dragon and Phoenix, Sweet and Sour Chicken (all meals will fried rice), and egg rolls. Their egg rolls can be hit or miss and I don't really care for their sweet and sour sauce nor the shrimp in the Dragon and Phoenix. It would also be super awesome if they would deliver!! However, this is a nice place to go when we want a super quick bite and don't feel like cooking. read more

This is my family's favorite Chinese restaurant !! The chicken nugget & chicken wing appetizers are the BEST !! I totally recommend the egg drop soup, the various fried rices, & the beef or chicken lo mein meals. My husband loves the beef with Chinese vegetables. We find the family that works there to be very friendly !! We get a great deal of food for the money & I totally recommend this to anyone looking for good Chinese food to try !! read more

Ordered happy family was pleasantly surprised to see no imitation crab meat in there... An ample amount of chicken pork shrimp and even a small lobster tail....my only suggestion is the lobster tail was never removed from the shell when it is cooked it should be done out of the shell... And then placed back in the shell on top of the dish for looks...It was almost impossible to remove from the shell with all the gooey sauce on it.... and by the way ...the sauce was good ...overall I liked the meal.....was a good value for the money and one of the best tasting happy families I've ordered! read more

We have ordered takeout many times since this placed opened. Ordered takeout last week, beef and broccoli was 90 percent broccoli and half of the broccoli was probably days old. Throw almost all of it away because it tasted bad. Also order the general Tao chicken and it was more broccoli than chicken. Quality of the food is slipping and becoming cheap. read more
