One of our favorite Chinese places around. And for the prices they offer, it is a must try. My wife and I had the general tsos chicken. My wife and I just moved to the area and this is our first time trying this place! We got to the Resturant within 15 minutes of placing the order and it was ready even before it said it would be. Great Chinese restaurant in Washington, Pa. Located in Park Place, across from Race Track Road. Today, I got the Spicy Orange Beef, fried rice, and takeout boneless spare ribs. Everything was excellent! Orange Beef was tender, lots of Orange flavor, a nice spicy kick! Fried Veggie Rice was really good, better than most I've had. Very flavorful, lots of veggies. I ordered general tso's chicken, lemon chicken and shrimp lo mein. So, the shrimp was OK mainly because of the noodles, the other two were very very debatable. I've never gotten a lemon chicken that was just deep fried chicken like sweet and sour chicken with lemon sauce on the side, wouldn't recommend. It's cheap in price like a McDonald's or Wendy's. Have to admit, I couldn't have gotten 3 full meals at a fast food chain cheaper but the quality I thought I was getting wasn't there. It's cheap but not quality. Their crab rangoon's were delicious!!! This use to be the best Chinese food ever. Now the food is swimming in oil. It was tasteless and disappointing. I traveled an hour and a half for this particular restaurant. First time dining here. For a mainly takeout restaurant, the food was very good. I decided to have my lunch there. A lot of chicken in my chicken with garlic sauce. Located behind the Sunoco and Dairy Queen in the Park Place plaza, Sweet Hut has been my favorite Chinese place ever since they came there. Tried this place close to the Meadows. It's small clean and modern. They have the typical choices of Chinese food. I ordered the jumbo shrimp and scallops stir fry. It was hot, fresh and good. The sit down area is clean and modern. The sauces here are good but aren't as sweet as other places. I'd like to stop back to try some more. The workers could be a little more happy tho. read more

I had the Hunan shrimp with fried rice for lunch today. There was miscommunication with the spice level of the food. I like my foods rather spicy and thought that the hunan shrimp would be spicy. On a spice scale of 0-10 where 10 is oh-my-goodness-spicy, I would rate it a 1. Additionally, though the food was rather hot (temperature-wise), it didn't have flavor. The fried rice was yellow rice and I'm not used to that type of fried rice. I'm not sure that I'd go back as there really isn't anything special about this place. read more

Sweet Hut is my favorite Chinese place around in Washington! The food is great and served in generous portions, I would say one of the best value restaurants around. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. The family is so nice, the place honestly feels very homey with the girl always riding her scooter outside or playing with some dolls while greeting customers. Having recently opened, I figured I'd give them a try. I stopped in today for lunch, 2/2/2017 for the first time. Small place. Was not acknowledged when I came in. Evidently it is seat yourself, but that is not indicated anywhere within the restaurant. Unsure of whether they come to the table to take your order, I went up the counter and ordered. Food came quickly, Kung Pao chicken - Probably one of all Chinese restaurants staple products. It was unlike any Kung Pao I'd seen before. The "chicken" was minuscule pieces of dark meat chicken, which I'm fine with, however, I would say a good 90% of the plate of "chicken" was just deep fried little batter chunks. Not good at all. Vegetables in were fresh in Kung Pao. Rice was the standard Yellow Rice, which interestingly enough every Chinese restaurant I don't care for serves this yellow fried rice. Egg roll was just okay and not hot. I get it, it's the lunch special, and it's low cost. Low cost does not always equal low quality. Won't be back. read more

This place just opened so had to give it a try. Had the Pork Lo Mein and chicken and vegetable stir fry combo for dinner last night. It was delicious! Pork and noodles were tender and super tasty. Chicken and veg had big juicy pieces. The sauce had a great flavor. The egg roll was so good too; hot and crispy. You have to go to the counter to place your order and then you seat yourself. They then bring your food to you. The drinks are either canned or bottled, which is fine by me because you don't have to worry if it's flat. They also have hot tea. The guy at the counter was really nice. Come give this place a try. I'm definitely going back! Unfortunately, I didn't have the foresight to take a picture of my food. The owners seem nice enough, but I'm compelled to write a review because the food misses the mark. I ordered Sesame Chicken w/white meat. This place cooks everything way too long. The Crab Rangoons come out burnt every time I order them...and now the Sesame Chicken was hard as a rock. I will NOT be back to this place...the food is just terrible. read more
