4 Stars for the food quality. Crispy upon arrival, (I've ordered twice from Uber Eats.) Along with sauce packets in bag. My first time ordering I had silverware & 2 fortune cookies. Either it's ask to receive or they just aren't consistent with those things. Now you would wonder why give two stars if the quality of food was tasty and fresh. The first time I ordered through Uber Eats on a Thursday I got Veg lo mein, shrimp fried rice, Krab Rangoon's and shrimp eggrolls. Though my first order was received near to them closing on a weekday. I called 20 minutes before they closed to let them know I did not receive my eggrolls. A man told me a manager will call back to go over my concern. I spoke to their manager Mae/Mei and she let me know that I could come into the store the next day and pick up my eggrolls under store credit. Stating that "She's always there" following with a reassuring chuckle. Though I ordered because I didn't have a way to get up there, so I told her I would show up after the weekend or order again and put it in my note like she initially suggested. I ordered two days later during that following Saturday around 1pm and called right after I submitted my order again through Uber Eats, I'm guessing I spoke to a clerk named Mia, she then let me know that she would either talk to the manager to confirm or once the manager saw the note in my order that she would call me instead. 10 minutes into my order being prepared my Driver was approximately 10 minutes away, I called again to make sure they seen the note as well as check on why I was being charged an extra $2. Mia then states it's extra for egg foo young gravy on my bill when the FIRST order, I never got charged for it being dipping sauce for my missing egg rolls. I then asked to see if the manager was around because I never heard back and to also take the sauce off. She laughs at me and says I can't take it off, I tell her you can because you're sitting in front of the system to add, review and clear orders. She rebuttals trying to keep it on there until I ask for the manager again, (not about the sauce but because I felt she was starting to decline a respectable response and I was promised to speak to Mei instead of Mia.) She then tells me that "I'm calling just the store" (I don't know what that meant but I understand some people aren't fluent in English and I'm okay with that, it's not their fault or job to if it isn't there first language.) She continues with "the manager is not here today." I asked her who had I spoken to less than 10 minutes ago stating that she was. She says I don't know, but in an annoyed tone at this point. I say all this to say once my Driver picked up my food, I asked them to open my bag to make sure my egg rolls were in there. If you go to the Uber Eats website it depicts TWO shrimp eggrolls for $2.30, round that up that is three dollars in tax. My Uber Eats driver stated there was only one, I asked him to ask the clerk who I'm assuming I spoke to and bagged my order, why only one eggroll for almost 3 dollars, her response to him was that it was a tax which didn't clarify the picture on their Uber Eats page. All of this is being explained through text between me and him. Not wanting to waste my driver's time I let them know, It was OK and that I appreciate them checking. My egg ROLL not rolls was standard. There were only two pieces of shrimp and mostly cabbage for three dollars.... Fried shrimp and plain fried rice seemed acceptable and of course fresh, I got chicken Lo mein this time, don't get if you don't like chewy noodles in a glaze like sauce and shrimp fried rice never fails, very tasty plates. My girlfriend likes that they serve krab ragoons with sweet cream cheese, unlike other restaurants. If you do not have a high standard of customer service or quantity, I wouldn't oppose going here for a quick bite that's local. Though my experience within three days & two orders has definitely left me unsatisfied. Picked up some Chinese food from Golden Dragon in Haines City yesterday - it's an okay spot, nothing standout or fancy, just your standard basic dishes. We got fried rice, lo mein, soup with dumplings, and sweet and sour chicken. Everything was ready pretty fast, which was nice for a quick meal. The fried rice and lo mein were solid, not greasy, and the soup had decent dumplings, but the sweet and sour chicken was average at best - sauce was a bit too thick and not very flavorful. Portions were fair for the price. If I had to choose between this and Panda Express, I'd probably go with Panda for more consistent taste, but Golden Dragon works in a pinch if you're local and want something simple. I love this place. Order ahead on their website and then pick up on the way home is absolutely the way to go- they don't deliver, but the food is worth taking the time to grab yourself. Just moved to the area and we are in the process of finding our go to places! We had to run to Publix on one of our first nights here and saw this place in the same parking lot so we had to try it. We ordered Singapore noodles, house special lo mein, house special egg foo young, crab Rangoon and sesame chicken. Everything was great and they definitely don't skimp on portions or the amount of meat in lo mein like so many other places. The egg foo young was so yummy and I even liked their gravy, very surprised since I haven't had gravy that I liked since moving from NYC almost 15 years ago. The crab Rangoon was a bit sweeter than I'm used to but nothing that would prevent us from ordering again. Despite the warning from the worker that they were very spicy, the Singapore noodles were very mild in our opinion. That being said, we do have a pretty high tolerance for spice. They were very efficient and they got our order out quickly! There are a few tables inside if you want to dine in but I think most people just take it to go. This is our go to takeout for Chinese. So far the food has been good and closest to NJ Chinese that I've had here since looking for 8yrs. Shrimp in Lobster sauce, shrimp and broccoli, egg foo yung, steamed dumplings, yung chow fried rice are some that we've tried and enjoyed. Egg rolls are sometimes a little dry but decent. Wonton soup is good but sometimes can be a bit doughy. They are very busy so good sign using fresh ingredients. Great customer service when taking out too. We have struggled to find good Chinese food in Davenport. We called to see if they delivered to our area and we were informed that they do not offer delivery at all. So we thought about it for a minute and decided to go ahead and put in a take out order. They said the food would be ready in about 20 minutes, so I went ahead and took the 15-minute drive to grab the food. When I arrived to pick up the order they verified what we ordered against what the ticket said and checked the bags to make sure it was all there. Now I had to take a 15-minute drive with this wonderful smelling food. Needless to say, I made it home without pulling over to eat my food. Once home, I quickly dove into my order of General Tso's Chicken and of course I ordered the combo. With my combo, I opted to go with the Wonton Soup as my side and was ok with the pork fried rice. The Wonton Soup was hot and delicious. I was very happy with my General Tso's Chicken and fried rice, both items were as expected. While the General Tso's Chicken has a chili next to it on the menu, I did not find it to be that hot. Even though they don't offer delivery, we will call in our order and make the 15-minute drive. This wasn't our best 1st experience at this restaurant. 1st of all my husband ordered kung pau chicken with no peanuts for me and it came delivered with peanuts! Also our entrees were smothered in so many mushrooms and little chicken or shrimp/beef it overwhelmed the little meat we got. I wish I would've gotten a picture of the entrees we ordered before but we were starving and I didn't realize how many mushrooms they used as fillers for meat and vegetables. Let's face facts my friends, there are a lot of poor restaurants in FL and that is why chain restaurants consistently rate highly on Yelp. Many a palette has been ruined growing up here. We ordered a variety of items and a pu pu platter and amazingly, there was hardly any flavor difference between all the food - Everything tasted the same...it's hard to pull off that level of mediocrity. Portions and prices were good but the kitchen area did not appear very clean (contrary to some reviews who praised cleanliness). We ordered the steamed dumplings, sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken and veggie mei fun. They all were good portions. The steamed dumplings were tasty especially with the sauce. The veggie mei fun was also tasty and not greasy like some can be - our favorite of the bunch! The sweet and sour chicken was good and had a nice flavor. The breading on the chicken (both chicken dishes) was thick on many pieces and more breading instead of chicken, but some were less breaded. The orange chicken was the least flavorful and our least favorite of the bunch. Overall, it's a good place that we'd go to again and it has pretty decent takeout chinese food that most will enjoy. let me start by saying we have frequently ordered from this establishment. our last order they didn't include include 2 items in and we didn't catch it until we got home. My husband called and got an answering service and asked to be put through to the restaurant (to which they refused). He explained the situation and that we live 40 minutes away (without traffic). Long story even longer they refused to put him through so he had to leave a message or drive back up there, he left a message. 3 days went by no return call. I called, at this point I wanted my $14 and change refunded back on my card. Surpris, I got the answering service too they refused to put me through so I left a message stating It was my second message about the issue and I wanted my money refunded. Here we are a MONTH later, that's right a MONTH I've yet to receive a call back or receive a refund for the food they shorted us. This place is a joke, but they have a good scam going on. Stay away from this place there's a reason they have 3 stars and I will be on a mission to see to it that everyone in the Central Florida area never gives this place a dime of their hard earned money. We work too hard for you to think you can take ad of us and get away with it. The answering service was a nice touch but when you can hear the cash register in the background you know you're getting scammed. This is your typical Chinese take out place in a strip plaza. I like it though and frequent it for several reasons. First of all, they are super friendly here. I've been picking up food here since shortly after they opened and the same woman always takes my order and the same guy always cooks it. Because of this my food is very consistent and my service is speedy and friendly. I like this place because my food is always fresh, hot, and prepared just for me. I've never gotten anything here that was cold, reheated, stale, old, etc. I can't say that for all Chinese take out places. This place is right by my house so it is super convenient. There is another Chinese take out place that is equidistant called QQ, but I've found Golden Dragon to be both more flavorful and more reasonably priced. The lunch special here is a great deal. You can get an entree, rice, and soda for only $5.50. I don't recommend the fried rice here. The white rice is better. The fried rice seems to have too much soy sauce for my liking. First and foremost, very clean inside! The food was hot, fresh and tasty! We ordered a variety of items to see if we would like the food. We liked everything! We started with the Pu Pu Platter because you get an assortment of delicious appetizers. The beef skewers, chicken wings, crab rangoons and egg rolls were our favorite. For our meals we ordered honey chicken, sweet and sour chicken, beef broccoli and pork lo mein. Honey chicken and pork lo mein were favorites with the broccoli.
