    Clear Soup
    Michael D.

First time here, and it was very good. I got the lunch special bento Box. It came with a salad with ginger dressing, miso soup (I asked if I could substitute it with the clear soup, which they were more than happy to do), Teriyaki Beef with Veggies, Rice, 3 Piece of Gyoza and a 4 piece California Roll! What a great deal for only $12.50! Well worth the money and I am leaving very full. The food looked and tasted very good. The service was great. Before my drink could even be finished, the server was refilling my cup. That was great. The lights and sushi bar added to the overall look and feel of the restaurant. I will be coming back to try the hibachi lunch special! Can't wait!

I'm a big sushi fan so I stopped in at Kumo Japanese Restaurant to get some sushi. It was the end of the night, and the woman at the counter wasn't that pleasant, she had a dismissive attitude as of to say "hurry up and buy!" Normally I would have taken my business elsewhere but it was late, my options were limited and I was hungry! Lol. I ordered the hibachi chicken & rice and a sushi roll which came with eight small pieces of sushi which they fell apart when I tried to pick them up. The chopsticks were super cheap and I had to arm wrestle one of the workers to get another soy sauce (just kidding, but my request was met with resistance). Although the food was flavorful the attitude was not part of my order. I'm on the fence about revisiting Kumo Japanese Restaurant again the next time I'm in Orlando.

The worst Japanese food I've ever had! No flavor, no color on the chicken, had to come home and season and cook the food more! The sushi was swimming in watery spicy mayo. Never again!!!

This is their idea of FRIED rice!! Shoyu over HOT white rice!! WTH!!

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!!!! DO NOT COME HERE!! We are from Hawaii, so Japanese restaurants are kinda all over the place!! The lady here is so RUDE, I had to STOP my other half from choking her out!! The server literally said she could not serve our soup and salad BEFORE our meal because "I SO BUSY!"... She bypassed us for about 10-15 minutes before she finally came here and took our order, ONLY to serve us the WRONG order!! Their idea of FRIED RICE is to pour shoyu over HOT rice....all their TEMPURA dishes seemed to drain their excess OIL in the bowl it is being served in!! Luckily a THUNDER STORM started when we all sat, otherwise we RUN DA HECK outta here (sorry for the language)... ONCE AGAIN, THIS PLACE SUCKED!! FOOD and this OLD LADY SERVER RUINED IT!! DO NOT COME HERE!!! The ONLY positive thing here was this young kid that tried to come out and salvage the damage his grandmother already did..he was polite and attentive...but the damage was already done..is there an option for a NEGATIVE rating? I guess I am STUCK giving the ONE (1) star...

Spicy tuna, rock n roll, Philadelphia, and another roll I can't remember.

My daughter wanted to have sushi for her birthday dinner while we were visiting Orlando. We loved Kumo. We had 6 rolls all of which were delicious. My son had teriyaki chicken which he said was great. He's my pickiest eater and he loved it. Service was quick and price was reasonable. Dinner for 4 with six rolls, chicken teriyaki, 3 appetizers, and drinks was less than $100. I definitely recommend this place.

Good service, good food. Ordered hibachi tofu (not on the menu) and it was delicious! Would definitely order that again.

He kept our drinks full, made sure every request was taken care of quickly, and helped the entire dinner flow smoothly from start to finish. Our chef, Kitty, put on a great show and prepared an absolutely delicious meal. My husband ordered the Wagyu, and wow--it was like butter! I had the filet and chicken, and both were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Between the outstanding service, entertaining chef, and incredible food, this has officially become my new favorite hibachi spot. We'll definitely be back!

Everything we ordered was really flavorful and well prepared, and the portions were generous. The hibachi-style dining where the chef cooks the meal right in front of you adds a fun "dinner and a show" element, which made it a great choice for celebrating. Even though we were mostly focused on the birthday festivities, the food itself really stood out, everyone at the table seemed happy with their meals. The only downside was the service. It felt a bit slow throughout the night, especially when it came to getting drinks and checking in with the table. Our waitress also came across a little aloof, which made things feel slightly less welcoming than expected for a birthday dinner. That said, the atmosphere was lively and it's definitely a fun spot for groups or celebrations. With a little more attentive service, this could easily be a go-to place for birthday dinners or nights out with friends. The food alone makes it worth a visit.

We were curious about this restaurant since it's closer to us now living in Clermont, and inside…read morethe Ette Hotel near Animal Kingdom. I'm so happy we made the trip here! The hotel lobby was very clean and sleek, and the concierge were very nice and communicative! The restaurant is just inside on the first floor, and was very well presented. It was very slow this morning for brunch, and we had no problems finding a place to sit with our little 2 month old boy! The staff served us quickly, and explained each of their recommendations. I'm so glad we listened because each of the items were beautifully presented, and so so delicious. We started with the tuna pizza, mainly because we were curious, and that was the most unique take on pizza/seafood in my opinion. The tuna was so fresh, the garlic aioli complimented very well with the crisp cracker/crust. I had the Ette Norwegian Benedict and was very happy. The smoked salmon was very tasty, and the side arugula and avocado salad was very fresh. Maddie had the lobster roll which absolutely slapped! Lastly, we were recommended the AB Chocolate in a cup, and WOW you must try this! Very warm nutella chocolate cake at the bottom, vanilla ice cream all the way to the top of the cup, and topped with a hard chocolate disk and banana foam. It was honestly one of the top desserts I have ever had. We shared one, but so tempted to order another one! I can't wait to come back and try some of their cocktails sometime with dinner!

You have to pay to secure your seating, including mandatory 20% tip. Equaled out to $100/pp. Very steep! Reservations were easy on Open Table. We arrived separately & met in the lobby of the hotel the restaurant is in. Very upscale. Gorgeous. Literally NO guests visible. No staff at the hostess station. When I walked in to the bar to ask about seating, I got very dismissive responses from the bartender & the person who ended up being the host. Like WEIRD rude. Service was extremely slow, even though the restaurant was largely empty the whole time. It was unnerving. The tea refresh was simply more hot water, NOT a fresh tea bag, so round two was basically flavorless. Ew. The server was really nice, but the long waits to get her attention were frustrating. And the water bottles were kept away from our table (?). I was having thirsty day, so my tongue was sticking to the roof of my mouth for way too long. When I asked for the bottle, she acted like she was irritated because it was "right behind" (me). Where neither of us could see it??? The lighting was AWFUL so most of the pics look bad, even with heavy editing. You can tell it's beautiful, but the pics are rough. Now - the settings were GORGEOUS. The dishes and flatware were beautiful. The water options were wonderful. The food is in the top 3 of any tea service I've ever had. The tea itself is hands down the best tea I've EVER HAD anywhere. You get a sampler box to smell before you choose, and there were so many that I loved. I ended up with Marco Polo blue, add honey and cream. I couldn't finish all the food, and they boxed the remainder up. Let me take the remainder of my water bottle home. Pushed for a review HARD. So here it is. We have to remember that the Michelin rating is solely for the food, not the decor, not the service. It definitely delivered there, but the rest really fell flat. For the price I'd expect way more as it's about double what tea costs anywhere else in the entire area.
