Make sure to get your sauces and if you can ask for extra sweet and sour sauce to go, they charge you small fee but they do give you a looooottt. Bad Chinese Food. The Crab Rangoon was way too sweet, the Sweet and sour shrimp were huge, but felt and tasted like biting into a sponge that was soaked in old oil. The eggrolls had an off smell to them. Fried Rice was yellow rice which is usually an indicator (to me) that it's cheap Chinese food. We recently moved to the area and have been trying various chinese restaurants. We were very pleased with the ease of online ordering, which disclosed prices, food descriptions, and approximate time that it would be ready. For us, it was right on. We ordered wonton soup, steamed dumplings, egg rolls, and three combo platters with pork fried rice. Pork lo mein, boneless ribs and chicken in garlic sauce. I love Chinese Food... after tried different restaurants, I found this place and the food is good. One service is enough for 2 people , they serve plenty food. The House Fried Rice is really good. And the price is really fair. You get what you pay for. The only downside ( most Chinese restaurants on the area have the same problem ) the chicken wings are whole chicken wings. We ordered a Pupu platter for two. One spare rib was mostly fat with very little meat, and the other spare rib was so tough We could not even bite into it. The beef on the stick was like leather we could not eat those either. They claim it was too chicken wings but honestly it's one chicken wing pulled apart. Pictures attached. The spring roll was less than and the Fried wontons were the size of my pinky finger curled. The only thing that we really enjoyed was the (2) chicken teriyaki on a stick. Great tasting food. Absolutely come here even when I live in Winter Haven. Unfortunately I have allergies with pork and shrimp meats so I had requested the House Chinese rice but to remove the pork and shrimp... meaning I wanted chicken, steak AND veggies. When I came by to pickup my food and finally arrived home, I realized why when during the in-store transaction, she mentioned to me "just order chicken fried rice or steak fried rice next time, but I am taking off 50 cents" So with this in mind, as I am unpacking my food, she gave me only chicken fried rice with NO veggies or steak. I am simply allergic to the other meats and still wanted all the other additions!! This seems to me as pure laziness. How unfortunate the food is astonishingly delicious compared to all the other Asian cuisines in the Polk area(Winter Haven, Haines City, Davenport). This is still a restaurant business. You are to cater to the customers dietary restrictions even if it is more effort. If YOU as a business will not accommodate such requirements, please ANNOUNCE that and call back the customer. I ordered food from China park and as I was eating it I cut my tongue. When I spit the food out I found metal shavings in my food. I picked through my food and found more metal shavings. When we went back to the restaurant the manager said it happens sometimes. It's scrapings from the cooking pan when they scrape the food out. I brought back all the food and the manager then said she refuses to refund us the whole meal because we started to eat it but it was 90% all there. I recently relocated to the area and I didn't have much hope in finding a place with good Chinese food because the last place I used to order from in Miami was fantastic. I am so glad I found China Park! Their special fried rice, special Lo Mein, and Honey Chicken and amazing! Every time I have ordered the food arrives hot and tastes fresh. Great Chinese! Cheap specials (lunch $4-5, Dinner $6-8). Typical massive portions. I suggest getting it to go, typical strip center chinese place, not meant for dine in. Up until today, I would have given this place a solid 4. Halfway decent Chinese food, and convenient. Today, I ordered sesame shrimp, which were clearly frozen, defrosted, and refrozen at some point, based on how off and watery the shrimp themselves tasted. When I called to let them know, the lady I spoke with over the phone was extremely defensive, and stated that she's never heard anything like that in the ten years they have been open. Okay, and that is fine, but if this is a one off situation, then you wouldn't have been told about it over the last decade. The shrimp tasted watery and freezer burnt.
