Just got my facial done and I'm so happy! I called and asked if she availability for today and she did. I walked in and she greeted me right away and even took me in early! She was so gentle and explained every step to me considering it was my first time. I almost fell asleep lol. After the facial my face was VERY red. I have very acne prone skin and have mild acne scarring. So I expected my face to be red considering she really went in with the extractions, but about 4 hours later the red has gone down and now just where I had extractions is red but I'm sure that'll go down as well. It's been a while since I've had a facial but Mitra is the only person I trust to do facials on me!! My skin always feels so much better after a facial with her. She always customizes my facial to whatever it is my skin needs at the time. Mitra is extremely thorough with extractions every time too. One facial was $115 but it's worth the price because Mitra doesn't do just cleansing and extractions. One of the WORST facials I've ever experienced/received. I don't know how people at this place have such positive reviews with Mitra. This needs to be addressed. I arrived here about 2 weeks ago, I had an appointment with Mitra. She did not make me feel welcome or comfortable. She told me to take off my shirt and lay down. I was not covered, and exposed on the bed with just my sports bra on. When she began the process, she did not tell me ANY of the products she was going to put on my face. Isn't the point of a facial to help target your problem areas? I would assume that an esthetician would ask about your skin type, what products I'm using, and then help address my concerns. That wasn't even the worse part-- when it came to the microdermabrasion I almost completely had an anxiety attack laying there. Mitra began the process and it seemed off that I thought she wasn't sure she wasn't properly doing her job. She placed the machine on my lips consistently tugging and pulling. The worst part was that she placed it on my lower bottom lid and under eye area and started tugging. Are you kidding me? She was so aggressive with the process I was afraid she could've ruined or worse damaged my under eye area. Doesn't every esthetician know the eye area is one of the most sensitive areas on the face?! One of the worst facials ever. What bothers me the most is that after long research of trying to find a place and seeing such positive reviews here, this is not what I experienced whatsoever. I found this place off Groupon. It had great reviews on Groupon AND Yelp, so I decided to give it a go. Mitra was very accommodating with my schedule. I was supposed to go on a Friday but asked if I could come a day earlier and she was able to squeeze me in. I went with the hour long ultrasound facial for $60. While I was in the middle of it, Mitra asked me why I chose this one. I said it was either this or the red carpet one and I wasn't sure which one to choose. I have clear skin and I'm young. Mitra said the laser facial is for older women. I asked her which one she recommended and she said go with the microdermic or micro-something one. I appreciated that she pointed that out to me. So here's how Mitra's facial goes: You get warm steam on your face for about five minutes to open up the pores. She's applying stuff as it's going. She then goes in with a scraper-feeling tool and starts scraping off your blackheads and acne and stuff. She then applies this suction feeling thing all over your neck and face. She said it was taking off the dead skin. Then she goes in with this loud zappy tool that closes your pores. It sounded scary but was not. She then applied a mask which you let sit until dry. (I knocked out at this point lol) After she peels the mask off, she runs your face over with this cool metal feeling gel tool. Voila! facial is done! She applies a lot of creams and gives you a massage during the process as well. I don't know if I described it accurately but this is just a quick "what to expect" guideline. It was my first facial and didn't know what to expect. I don't have acne and problematic skin except for blackheads and dryness. I did want a cleaning. I wear makeup and know that it can build up. My skin feels buoyant and moist at this moment. Feels great. I will definitely go back to Mitra and her gentle hands for my face. read more

I had my first facial with Mitra today. I have not had a more comprehensive facial before. Mitra listened to my areas of concern, and made recommendations. I had her signature facial, and Mitra took her time and was so attentive. At times when she could have left the room ( like when I had a peel on me face ), she didn't leave which made me feel very looked after. She also prompted me in advance to what she was doing next. I'm a guy who had never had a facial before, but thought I'd give it a shot. I felt like the large pores left on my face from "situations" when I was younger were starting to become more noticeable, and wanted to see if a facial might help after doing some online research. You can tell that Mitra is a pro, she was very methodical without being robotic (you could tell she knew what she was doing). She applied many things (creams, facepacks, etc) that I can't name, but she did explain what they were. She worked through my face with tools and removed dead skin and unclogged my pores. I can get a little obsessive with the impurities in my skin so I normally judge a facial on how good the extractions are, and Mitra really delivers. She is gentle but thorough, and I always leave with my skin feeling clean, glowing, and hydrated. On top of that, she really strives to give you the full experience when you come in for a facial. I came to get a facial here for the first time today. I think if you're looking for a very basic, no bells and whistles type of facial then the service is decent for what you pay for. I personally like my facials to be as much about the experience as the actual service being offered, and unfortunately this place doesn't deliver a spa-like or relaxing atmosphere. The location isn't great. The salon and building is dated and run down. Mitra is nice and polite, but she wasn't exactly personable. I originally scheduled for a micro needling session, but because I'm pregnant we decided to do a regular facial instead, which I was fine with. I would think as it was my first time she would ask about my concerns or skin type but she never did and just went right into giving the facial. I had to ask if I should remove my shirt because she forgot to ask me. I also had to ask for a headband because she didn't offer one. She at no point explained any of the products she used or what she was doing to my skin or even gave any recommendations for how I should treat my skin. I could've asked but didn't really feel comfortable. Maybe she was just having an off day. At one point she did an LED treatment which was probably about 15 minutes but felt like 30 because it was so uncomfortable. She put some netting material over my face with a mask - which if she had explained why or what she was doing I'm sure it would've made more sense to me but she never said a word about it. Then the light contraption was put on top of that, which felt pretty claustrophobic. It fell off the table at one point (which wasn't her fault) but made the experience even more awkward. Usually when I've gotten facials elsewhere the esthetician will give you a hand massage or something whenever they do an extra long mask but nope, she just sat there silently. Just an odd experience overall. As of right now I can't tell how my skin actually looks, I have sensitive skin so it's actually pretty irritated from the microdermabrasion but if I wake up 2 days from now with glowing skin I'll definitely update my review! I don't think I'll be a return customer though. read more

She always listens to my needs and works her magic. She is thorough with the extractions (which is the reason my face is smoother afterwards). She uses Ayurvedic products (which I recommend) and amazing masks. She has the machines that you would find at a high end spa: high frequency treatment (LOVE), microdermabrasion (LOVE more), LED light treatments (), and my favorite, a cooling wand that does wonders after your treatment & she always ends with a tinted moisturizer w/SPF so that you are protected when you leave. Not only is she amazing but her prices are within my budget! Ladies (& gents) we all need a little pampering now & then & this is my part in helping small businesses get back on her feet!
