She did a terrific job at making me feel comfortable and welcome, and the wax hurt way less than other places I've been. When I mentioned this to her, she said they use a product designed for sensitive skin. Whatever it was, I could actually tell the difference!

Both of them raved about how amazing their services were and how great and knowledgeable the estheticians were. After the services we were able to shop around their amazing gift shop perfect for the holidays as they have so many things for everyone. We asked where to go for the service. And instead of going behind reception to the salon rooms, we were sent back out the door to the salon, up a few flights of stairs inside an old apartment building. When we got to the piles of black garbage bags stacked in the hallway, the door to the spray room was to the right. There's a tiny, shabby waiting room, if you can call it that, and a janky storage room/janitor closet. Plus, the woman getting sprayed had left her stuff all over the one chair, open handbag and everything. The tan itself didn't really look like much, except on my face, which was really dark. But everywhere else you couldn't really notice it. So, nope. Would not recommend. PS: If this review convinces you to go here, be prepared to get totally nay-nay except for disposable paper undies.

Not only was she super personable, but she also really cared about making sure my eyebrows were moving in the direction I was trying to go. She took the time to talk through different shapes with me -- it turns out I like the straight shape look -- and showed me how I could get there with a growth encouragement product at home. Rosana showed such incredible expertise too, drawing out the symmetrical lines I should strive for to achieve the look I wanted. I absolutely appreciated the time she took to make my appointment successful. They have good covid measures in place too right now, with a temperature check at the door, a big jug of hand sanitizer on the front desk, and masks required all around. I'd be happy to go back to see Rosana again.

Result: Severe skin damage requiring immediate medical attention, resulting in prolonged physical and professional inconvenience. During the service, I experienced clear indications of improper technique and negligent care: Excessive Heat: The applied beeswax felt excessively hot, indicating an improper temperature setting. Aggressive Removal: The removal of the wax sheet by the esthetician was noticeably aggressive and forceful. Immediate Pain & Acknowledgment: Immediately after the wax removal, I informed the esthetician, Treasure, that the areas above and between my eyebrows were extremely painful. Negligent Aftercare: I questioned whether a proper post-wax cleanser (such as rubbing alcohol) had been used. Treasure confirmed that "No" such cleanser was applied. I was only advised to use a generic ointment and Vitamin E oil. Upon returning home, the painful area above and between my eyebrows became severely red and inflamed. I subsequently confirmed that the skin in these blotches-on both sides above the brow and between the brows-had been physically lifted and removed (skin abrasion/burn). Current State of Injury: The damaged area has progressed from red to pink and is now a noticeable brown/hyperpigmented color. Permanent Damage: The injury to the skin, particularly above the left eyebrow, remains visible even after two professional consultations, indicating permanent damage and a high risk of long-term scarring. Personal and Professional Impact: I have been forced to stay indoors and rigorously avoid all sun exposure to prevent further hyperpigmentation. This has caused significant personal and professional inconvenience, including the cancellation of scheduled appointments. Initial In-Person Follow-Up: I returned to the salon to show the extent of the damage. I spoke with an employee named Emily, who confirmed the owner / manager was unavailable. Broken Financial Commitment: The business owner promised in written format to reimburse all current and future dermatology visit fees related to this injury. However, the owner failed to follow through on this commitment, and all subsequent attempts to contact them regarding payment have been ignored. Lack of Response to Third Party: I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but the business owner did not respond to the inquiry at all, demonstrating a profound lack of professionalism and accountability. Within the spa section, you really feel transported to a zen zone. I was happy to wait there, but then was left ten minutes once in my designated room for my appointment. The massage therapist listened to my specific needs and helped problematic areas of my head, neck and shoulders (since I get migraines). I was given the option for tea or water afterwards which was gladly accepted. My mothers nails were nicely done, but I hate to say they chipped just a couple days afterward. I also was disappointed she could not get a massage appointment close to mine and chose to get her nails done instead. It seems they have very few therapists on staff to do the massage appointments. Overall - I had a great experience, but I think there are definitely improvements to be made on the salon and spa sides.

PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE EVEN CONSIDERING GOING PARADISE TOTAL SPA AND NAILS FOR LASH EXTENSIONS!!!! DO NOT DO IT......!!! I was very excited when I saw an offer on Groupon for Lash Extensions at Paradise Total Spa and Nails. It was a very good offer for 85.00 for a full set and a touch up. I read some reviews here and saw the pictures and was impressed with what I saw..when I arrived at Paradise was even more impressed.. it was spacious and modern and who I believe could have been the owner was very accomodating warm and friendly... When I initially got my extensions I fell in love with them. They were beautiful..My friends and husband thought they were gorgeous.. Couldnt imagine not having them.. cost or not... I went as directed in two weeks for the touch up that was included.. I didnt think they looked as nice the second time.. but still couldnt get enough of them UNTIL.. 2 days later they all started to fall off... I called the Spa and I spoke to some one who suggested that I could come in for another touch up... one that I would have to pay full price for... so I thought I will just deal with it until the 2 week mark and get my touch up... this morning upon looking into the mirror in horror... I have random lash extensions left and whats left of my natural lashes are all broken ... my heart sank... I called another establishment and spoke to a certified professional who explained to me what kind of technique would cause this and the breakage and made an appointment with her to remove whats left of the extensions and see if she can help me... When I called Paradise to cancel my appointment and why ... they simply said they were sorry and to try another place ??? It would have been nice if they could have at least offered another service such as a spa pedicure... I tipped the tech 20.00 each time I went to only destroy my lashes... read more

I have been going to Paradise for a year now. Each time I go something goes wrong. It just gets worse every single time! First, they always assume you want the most expensive nail service. They can see I have acrylic nails and EVERYTIME I go for a fill they go right ahead and try to put the more expensive gel on instead. I fell for it once. I purposely tell them at the desk that I want acrylic and the tech does whatever she wants. They try to trick you into spending more. My daughter has been victim of this several times as well. She's a KID! Third, they make you feel like your stupid for not getting the more expensive stuff by laughing at you for NOT wanting the more expensive service. Sorry, I've had both gel and acrylic, they last the same amount of time and I can't for the life of me figure out what makes gel better or why they think it's funny!!?? Finally, if you ask for them to make your nails shorter they should do it a little at a time. Maybe ask, "is this ok or would you like them a bit shorter?" Not mow them down to "man length". Too late now! Another thing I really hate is they always harass you to pick a color in under 30 seconds. I like to browse my options. They stand right next to you following you around until you pick something. I like personal space and I want to take my time without the hovering. I never leave happy or relaxed. Time to find another place. I also got eyelash extensions once and they lasted eight days! I went another place and they remained perfect for three weeks before they started to fall out read more

I often come to this salon (or the second salon in Morris Plains) when I come to New Jersey to visit my sister. This salon is phenomenal! It is always immaculately clean, the staff is always bright and friendly and accommodating and the work they do is beautiful. It is always something I look forward to! I've been to a lot of different nail salons in my life and nothing I've encountered even compares to this place. It is always full of people (which isnt a surprise given how awesome it is) but the wait is never terrible - although quite frankly I dont mind waiting if I have to because there is no where else I would go to get my nails done. I've also had many different spa treatments that are offered (including the spa pedicure and a facial) and they are also amazing -- nice long massages that make you feel like a new & rejuvenated person. To be an impartial reviewer I am thinking of some negatives to say about this place, but I truly cannot think of any. I am always shocked to see any negative reviews in a place like this, but I guess some people are too hard to please... I will definitely be back again and again. read more

I've been coming here for years and I love it here! From always being greeted with a friendly face to enjoying all my experiences here! My nails with Kelly is always beyond expectations. She is very good at her job and quick so I'm not sitting there forever! Which I love. My nails always look amazing! And She also gives a nice back rub at the end! (Love this!). I always get a spa pedicure with Lilly who is the best! (But all the girls are good here!) The spa pedicure is relaxing and lots of wonderful products even though I alway get the Coconut Jasmine! It's nice and long and never rushed! My favorite:). Clean, sanitized and a very organized place in all areas. Which is important to me. You will become a longtime customer here too! I have been coming here since Anne left the Succasunna location (don't go to that one.. this one is so much better and newer and the staff is so much nicer!) you can't beat their pedicures... Anyone you get, they are all awesome... Long leg massages and foot rubs make it so relaxing. My husband loves their pedicures too! They have a ton of colors and are always getting the new Essie colors in. I get gel manicures and they also have a ton of gel colors and will do any design you ask as long as you have a picture to reference. I have also gotten their pink/white LCN Gel nails and May did an awesome job with them too. They do get busy, but it is worth the wait and they have so many workers that it is usually only 15/20minutes. Their prices are the norm but their services are beyond what you pay for. Go here.. Do you want to have the cleanest toenails in the entire state of New Jersey? Let me tell ya, my toes had some cleaning to do. I went here and these dogs got absolutely shined! Smelt good, great color, friendly staff and an amazing environment to get mani/pedis. Oh, did I forget the massage? No, I didnt! After the full on scrub of your feet you get the service of a full-blown leg massage. They oiled my leg up and got absolutely after it. I ran a full 10k the day after because the muscles on my legs were so loose. Not only is the salon beautiful and calming they offer a wide variety of services. So I've been a great customer for many many years. Today 6/4/22, I had an appointment for 2pm. By accident I thought I had a 2:30 appt but forgot I had a 2pm appointment and arrived 15 minutes late. Low and behold they gave my appointment away. The receptionists there were not very helpful. To be quit honest they were snotty. You would think they would try to accommodate since I was a loyal customer. I'm very surprised paradise nail still employs these people with bad attitudes. Unfortunately since Ann got sick this place went down the drain. I'm sorry Ann but it's time for me to find a professional salon that cares about their loyal customers. Be well Ann and Lidia. I've been a regular customer at Paradise Total Spa & Nails for about a year. Recently, I tried an O.P.I. Perfection Powder Gel manicure. I LOVE how great it looks and how long it lasts (3 weeks with incredible shine and NO chipping!). I also appreciate the relatively quick application process - 40 minutes with NO UV light or drying time. It's good to know that my Powder Gel manicure will truly last during my spring trip to France! Temmy is my manicurist and is professional, friendly, and takes pride in her careful work. In other words, Temmy's wonderful! Started coming here this year for gel manicures at paradise and the nail techs always do a good job. My nails last more than two weeks, I use hardener so my nails have been pretty healthy, and the technicians I usually go to always follow my requests for designs. It does get busier close to the weekends/holidays, so it is sometimes hard to get a service if you walk-in. I do recommend booking ahead of time as they are appointment only, but if their is an availability you can always get your service done. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the staff their are very nice. read more

I went in today for a much needed pedicure after 3 months without one... boy was I impressed!!! Paradise took amazing measures to make myself and all other customers feel very safe. Plexiglass barriers, 50% capacity/social distancing, a lot of cleaning/sanitation, and a temperature check/wellness questionnaire. I feel very safe to go back during this time and appreciate the check-in procedure ran by the receptionists. The staff as a whole was on the same page and made my experience great. My friend introduced me to paradise bc she told me they do eyelash extentions n I been a happy customer ever since my first time. The price for eyelash ext. Is very reasonable, esp. I keep up with it every 2 weeks for refill. The girls there all are really good (i had 3 diff. Girls so far i think jessy jenna alison? N they r all good) they do it exactly how I like it (I like my eyelashes to be longer at the end but still natural) n they are always so friendly n professional. I def. I have been a loyal customer of Paradise Total Nails and Spa for almost 14 years. Heather has always been my go to technician for my gel manicures and waxing. She is very meticulous, consistent and extremely kind. The spa also offers excellent pedicures and massages. I do recommend planning your appointments in advance, however I have never had a problem rescheduling appointments. Great Salon! The staff really knows what they are doing and the techs have conversations with you while you are getting your manicures. My Manicurist Kelly was so kind to even make me a cup of coffee while I was soaking off my gel manicure. I love how they take the time to properly soak off the previous gel manicure instead of using the drill to remove it. Paradise is an institution in Morris County! I've been going to the one in Randolph since Ann opened. I have always had a great experience and I have gotten almost all of their services! I especially love their gel fills, gel manicures, Swedish massages, pedicures (are the best you'll find!), and their hidden gem are their facials- absolutely amazing! Whenever I need to step away from life's hectic schedule, I always run to Paradise Total Spa and Nails. I am always greeted with smiles and professionalism. They said starting cost of the design was $5, but I don't think they should have charged me so much for the line on my big toes. When I asked the nail technician to redo one of them, she wasn't too happy about it but did it anyways. I get my nails done twice a year so I want them to look nice. I also got the dip powder manicure and that was $50. The total before tip was $85. I was planning to use this $5 off coupon when I checked into Yelp but they said they have nothing to do with Yelp and they will not honor it. That was a let down. They should talk to Yelp and take that down so it's not misleading. I gave her a nice tip because she was patient with me. Overall, she did a pretty good job. Would I visit them again? I'm not sure. They were a little pricey. I may check other nail salons in the area before going back.

Three of my nails have air bubbles (evidenced by the photo). The woman ended up cutting my cuticle, and it bled slightly while she was doing my manicure. And after two days, one of my nails had the polish come completely came off. Not chipped, just peeled right off. I didn't even notice when/how it happened, just looked down to a bare nail. Considering they upchaged me $7 for "extra hardening" base coat, on top of the gel nail cost, I'm pretty disappointed. Won't be going back.

For my first time at this salon I was expecting to pay between $65-85 for gel with extensions, one color (shimmery), but ended up paying $100 before tip. The staff member ringing me up must've seen the shock on my face because she immediately offered me a small bottle of lotion and said it was for the holidays (12/27/28) Sure. Though the place seems clean, the color selection was not great. I felt like I couldn't find exactly what I wanted (pink shimmer, not really uncommon). Then sitting down to get the nails done was alright, except I was facing a TV with the news on. Not really relaxing to hear about the most recent crimes and events going on. Several times the staff made a point to mention that I should come in every 2-3 weeks to get them filled, doing everything but suggesting to make another appointment. As a first time customer here, I didn't appreciate this. If I came back here that frequently I'd be spending around $200 a month, maybe that's fine for the high class ladies in Morris county, but not everyone is rolling in dough. I'll gladly be looking for an independent nail tech that charges appropriately. They did a good job, but only go if you're willing to spend a lot.
